For the best cybersecurity analyst training that I created go to learn.nicoleenesse.com/SOCAnalyst
Have an interview tomorrow for Security analyst job at my hospital. I already work in the hospital in I.T. nervous and excited
Good luck!! You’ll crush it.
Good luck!!!
Great content can you add external pcs/laptops or do they all have to be a part of the network?
Gosh this was solid 👌🎉
Thanks!!
Thank you Nicole.
You are so welcome!
Great content. Thank you
Thank you
this is like the best video ever thank youuuuuuuu!!!!!!
Glad you liked it!!
i see your experimenting with the production, and its good!
LOL it is experimentation!!!
How do you practice SIEM. Would you try to get like a splunk certification to understand its structure or practice with Qradar? Thank you!
Splunk has free training & trial, I would start with their basics and work up from there
Once again, great content. You should think about starting a Cyber Security contracting firm. You would be great at mentoring and managing a team of professionals.
I Am thinking about that!!
Great Video! What's the best advice for anyone trying to move from England (or anywhere) to America in the Industry, SOC analyst (or higher)?
You will need a company to sponsor you which can be kind of difficult.
@@nicoleenesse Awesome stuff, ill see you in states, give me 2 years :D
seriously considering my path right now nicole...i will have my cert for computer information security essentials cert.
Hey Bert, here are so many pathways! That is a fun spot to be in..exploring and what not
@@nicoleenesse I have really been considering on honing my skills as a pentester, I do know it is not a huge part of cyber but it appeals to my skillsets with people skills. The gift of gab as they say, and as a former infantryman it does seem like a fairly tactically driven field to be in. I do think it worth pursing your strengths.
@@bertmeza8673 It would be! You would probably already know a lot of the basics There are a ton of similiaries between securing networks and how infantry secures things. One example is perimeter defense
Great stuff as always! So, this isn’t for “noobs”, but have you heard of the PNPT from TCM Security? It’s a newer cert so just curious your thoughts!
That is from the cyber mentor! It doesn't have brand name recognition, but probably will be good if you want to learn the material in depth
@@nicoleenesse Exactly. As someone who has chaired half a dozen hiring committees over the last few years, we put next to zero stock in "off-brand" certs. ISC2, SANS, and COMPTIA if you're going for real certs. The skills you mentioned is a good start especially Splunk
is Cybersecurity Analyst and SIEM are the same roles?
Hi! I wanna ask how do you learn the NIST framework? Is it just reading the documents?
No, I would apply it to creating a security program, or architeture
I start wgu on December 1st. Should I worry about not being that knowledgeable or should I just not worry about it and wait till school starts? I have the Google it professional support cert but still know I don’t know much at all.
I would not worry about it. You will learn when you get in class!
@@nicoleenesse thank you. Always have great advice
👌🏾
Is it ok for B.Sc computer science student to do these course for getting a job??
Yes, check to see if your school as a minor in cyber
@@nicoleenesse i joined siem xpert training center. There are lot of members who completed b.tech but im the single one who have done b.sc degree
I have a bachelors degree in information technology. I am studying for my security plus. What would be the best next step?
To figure out what role you are aiming for and then reverse engineer the skills you need
@@nicoleenesse I want to be a SOC analyst or digital forensic
So u don’t necessarily need to learn coding?
Nol not for entry level
it's just too Basic daa
;(
Your videos are very informative I love them but the editing is unattractive for viewers... the short pauses or cuts are irritating so it's painful to watch the whole video... I'm just giving constructive criticism
