    Please correct me if I’m wrong, but these Jobs fall under Information Security Analyst and not Cyber Security Analyst. Cybersecurity is a subset of Information Security, just like IAM and GRC.
    Everyone uses the word “Cyber” these days (even for IAM and GRC roles) as it has become like a hot keyword and nothing more.

    • @nicoleenesse
      @nicoleenesse  4 місяці тому

      No. I am a cybersecurity analyst and I fall under GRC. Cybersecurity analyst is a catch all title. I could make an argument that information security falls under cybersecurity

    • @usmanzargar9640
      @usmanzargar9640 4 місяці тому

      @@nicoleenesse Well I would say that multiple organisations around the world use very generic (if that is the correct word) titles for Information Security professionals.
      Cyber Security deals with the protection of infrastructure and networks from digital nasties that help protect information. Thus making it fall under Information Security.
      Whiles as GRC ensures compliance with industry standards, deals with potential risk identification, etc. that again help protect information. Thus making it a subset of Information Security.

    Is it true that SOC has a high turnover due to burnout and poor work/life balance?

      Depends. Heard 1 story form a youtube video. Got paid money but didnt really do anything as nothing rwally happened and thst can make you think you are loosing your skills.

    Senior GRC dude here. PCI QSA demand certifications, and 2 distinct certifications in two different fields, Plus 3k$ for certification and 2$k for recertification each year. Big4 tipe of jobe. Plus you have to be independent to company. Very scope limited part.

    Hey Nicole. I’m thinking of studying for either the CISSP, CGRC, CCSP exam. Since I don’t have work experience in the required domains the ISC2 would make me an associate. Do you think even so, this would help boost a resume ? Showing I passed the same exam. I just only lack the 2-5 years work experience in the domains. Thanks and you rock by the way
