Teaching what you already know is a great way to solidify what you already know. Great video!
Thanks!
@@nicoleenessethank you for the video. It's very informative ! I am studying computer networks and cybersecurity in University of Maryland and couple of credits left to my Bachelor. However, I am still afraid to apply for internship opportunities. I am glad I found your video today. I am gonna watch all of them to get valuable information. I wanted to be a cybersecurity analyst. Do you have some advice please?
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you soooo much! Subscribed!
Thank you, Nicole, This is actually very helpful.
Thank you Nicole for these valuable tips, Im into diving to CyberSec without prior experience on that field.
The information about setting up the home lab is gold. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks a million 💯
nice efforts and excellent details towards noted on Documentation on Cyber security standards.
Also you deserve way more subscribers! I’m currently working on my associates (a year left) computer science : infosec and then getting my bachelors for cybersecurity and have been trying to find more IT and cybersecurity youtubers and here recently came across your content and have been hooked since. Keep it up
Thanks!! It's a HUGE field. Not enough people to cover them all!!
You are Awesome! 💯
You too!!
The takeaway from this video is documentation is your friend. Another great video, there were some editing hiccups but overall I continue to enjoy the information provided
Thanks for the tips!
If you worked on I.B.M AS400 servers would that count to help get a NOC/SOC Position? I did this for 9 years and also studied programming languages, but never liked coding. Lastly mostly worked night shifts on 4 and 3 day 12 hour shifts , rotating with other personnel.
These companies were in the lower half of the Fortune 500.
How do you document the home lab projects? On your resume?
Hi maam,
Big fan of your video!!
Is it possible you can make seperate video for mention work lab in resume
Sure 😊
Hi Nicole, I'm a newbee doing a career shift from 7 years of Cisco Engineer to Cybersecurity. I'm interested in what you said about INE. Which particular course are you using from INE? Please let me know.
Great video! I’m going to check out the labs..I have found some ideas prior like taking an older all in one comp to turn into a forensic VM for a SANS SIFT kit.
That is a great idea!!
So basically become a Cyber Security Scientist 🤔 with all the documents you'll be doing. Yeah I think I'll stick to Business Admin. Great vid insights. Thanks.
LOL Business admin is a lot of documentation also!
any simple projects and labs you can recommend to start gaining experience, so I can put it on resume too
Great video! Very informative.
How exactly does one fund a decent home lab setup? Many in the industry suggest a home lab setup to learn as much as possible about each concept, but the costs of hardware, software, training material, electricity to power said hardware, etc. add up quickly. The cost of living has increased substantially and it is difficult enough to stay above water, let alone have any extra income to spend $1000+ on equipment and materials. I do understand there are free material and software out there but as someone who is new to Cybersecurity, it's difficult to gauge how effective this 'free' material is. Some 'free' material I've come across gives you just enough information to have a high level understanding of but if you want to dive into the gory details, you gotta pay!
Curious to know your thoughts on this and any advice you can throw my way is greatly appreciated! :)
It's all done with VMware or Virtualbox. It's better if you spend money on it, but if you have a decent computer by today's standards you don't need any extra $$$. You ideally want 32 gigs of ram on your computer, if it's less you can still probably pull it off, depending on what you have, it just won't be ideal.
Hi Nicole, please, what projects do you recommend I do, as someone wanting to go into the field of penetration testing in cybersecurity, that you as an employer would look out for when hiring. Projects that don't really require spending money (For penetration testing specifically please. There are so many cybersecurity projects here and there, but none really focuses on penetration testing) If possible, could you create a video on it?
I love this channel! I’ve done IT for 10 years and want to get into Cybersecurity
You have a huge advantage!
Hi Nicole! Thank you for this information. At the 7:00 mark you tell us about a training that you are going through and that you pay for. I could quite make it out even after replaying the video. What is the name of the training please? Thank you so much!
INE Training. It used to be eLearn but they merged into one
@@nicoleenesse Thank you so much!
no patreon?
Nahhhh
Did I tell you to document...?😂
Yes

Well, you want to document what you are doing like the first example with cyberwox home lab. You can put this on your resume
