This is great advice. I wish I had saw this video before attempting the ccna . Failed twice with low scores after studying for a couple of months with zero experience in IT was way beyond my comprehension. I am gonna start from ground up ….working on IT fundamentals then most likely cloud. More reasonable and more realistic. lol. Thanks for this video

Once again, you make my day, I had no ideal about the CAPM. While I'm going to school for my B.S. for Cybersecurity, I was going to take the google cert for PMP, I always wanted to train for Project Manangement. Then I see your video about this Cert, thanks again, I'm going to do my best to get my degree next year, and do my Masters at WGU.
The Google PM Cert is also really good! CAPM may have a little bit more weight with employers

Hi Nicole, I love your videos and your energy of encouragement, reality, and insight!
I have been very fortunate to have 15 years of IT helper (grunt) experience building physical side of network, helpdesk, and mainly observing and learning from a genius NA. I was around networking, AD, Group Policy, WAN, LAN... but was not allowed into the meaty stuff. I found after losing my job last year, cuz of covid crap, that my IT experience did not add up to anything marketable.
I am so crazy blessed to get into a WIOA grant that is helping with BootCamp and test cost for 5 initial CompTia certifications (IT Fundamentals, A+, Net+, Security+, and CySA) and I hope to have those all by the end of January with five 5-day bootcamps between now and then, followed by testing! I am full time student between now and then! Will my 15 years of experience, but not expert, be able to be blended in and make me more marketable with all these certs to give me the practical knowledge to what I did and witnessed for 15 years? Once certifications in place, Sys Admin and Jr. Network admin and Junior Cybersecurity should all come into play? thank you

HELP!!!!! Nicole need some help, I know zero about cyber security or cloud or Microsoft lol but only know the fundamentals on basic computers etc, I've just been made redundant from my job at the movie theatre and have 3 months money but don't want to blow it on something i know nothing about or something that's going to go straight over my head with lol

You seem to be a big advocate for cloud certs - which makes a ton of a sense. Should I get my AWS Cloud cert first then go for Security+ or the other way around? Coming from a chemical analyst background.
Hmmm, that is a tough one. Both are very useful, but I would say AWS Cloud has a better job outlook because it’s specialized

Thanks. A real big help. I agreed that with no experience some of these are hard and overwhelming. I ran out off time trying compita A plus5 501.and then tried comptia network .may try a easier course and just want any certificate to add to cv.

Depends on what niche you wan to go into. Security+ is useful for any IT job
