Just decided to try this exact recipe today, and the cookies turned out excellent. They held their shape, baked up beautifully and taste scrumptious! I had been using another spritz recipe that included cream cheese, and though they tasted good, tgey did have a bit of a chewy texture, which I did not care for. These are more of a delicate butter cookie. I plan to fill at least some with jam, and then sandwich them and dip the edges in melted chocolate & sprinkles. So glad I searched around for a new ingredient list and found this one.
omg I just made these they remind me of the ones my mom made when I was little thanks so much I will make these for my family this holiday thanks again
I just bought this same cookie press, and I used the Wilton cookie recipe, but I had problems with the dough sticking to the pan. I had to do 2 clicks to get the cookies to stick. I also purchased the recommended aluminum pans. Any suggestions on what I could try to get them to stick better? Thank you!
I washed the “Aluminum” pan ( can’t use a non stick cookie sheet for these cookies as you know ) ...and whenever it cooled so that NO trace of Anything like butter was on it, and slid the cookie sheet into the fridge until slightly cool to the touch and it was a game changer!

Oh no, we're sorry you're having trouble with your Spritz cookies! Here are a couple tips and tricks to keep in mind: 💛Make sure you’re using an ungreased non-stick cookie sheet. Greasing your pan will cause your cookies to spread. 💛This dough is best used the day it’s prepared. Do not chill the dough before using. The dough should be at room temperature so it can be piped through the press. 💛If your cookies start to spread or your kitchen is warm, try chilling the pans in the refrigerator for a few minutes before piping the cookies on the pan. Bought a cookie press and hardly ever did it work. The second time i used it broke and pieces of plastic fell into the dough. Impossible to get a cookie to come out in a way that it will stick to the press. I bought a 55 dollar metal press. I recommend just to use cookie cutters- P.S.
We're sorry to hear that! Please send photos to customerservice_crm@wilton.com so we can have our Quality Team take a look. Please also confirm the dough that you used. We look forward to assisting further!
I bought a Wilson press, I watched this video four times y Wilson, and I used the recipe in this video recommended by Wilson. The cookies were AWFUL tasting🤮
If you want the spritzer for free, I am taking the Wilton spritz apparatus to the Goodwill in St. Louis. This recipe and techiques are a nightmare. These cookies are the worst disaster I have ever made. Lots of "information" not supplied in this video. Exactly how to you fill the tube with the dough? The dough doesn't come out properly. Doesn't stick to the pan. It is such a mess. I needed cookies for a Christmas pickleball exchange, so I finally scraped it off the cookie sheet, wrapped the dough in plastic, rolled it into a cylinder before refrigeratating. Then sliced before baking. What a waste of expensive ingredients and I am embarrassed to take them. My husband start laughing when he saw the finished product.

Some of the other ladies at admitted that they too had experienced disasters trying to make these. It was an ice breaker at our table. We were all laughing about our disasters at Wilton’s expense. I am going to give my spritzer to charity so another lady can figure out how to use it. Next year I will make Swedish rosettes which always work for me.

If you don’t want the almond flavor.. can you just double up the vanilla extract?
The flavor would be different, but the recipe will still turn out!

Excellent
How do you make the rectangle shape?
You would use the disc that is a ridged single line!
Cookie monster love cookie yum yum.
What is the consistency of these cookies? Are they firm and crunchy? Soft?
They would be similar to a butter cookie, so somewhere in between!
Wowwwwwwwwwwwww👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
For the life of me I can’t make the rectangle bag cookies. Can you make a video on how to prefect that?
How to make eggless even though soft and delicious butter cookies?? Pls share the recipe
can i substitute granulated sugar for powdered sugar
I have the exact same press and my cookie do will not come out can’t figure out what I did wrong☹️

I can’t get the cookie dough to separate from the press onto the cookie sheet. What am I doing wrong?
You may need to click the trigger a few extra times. Chilling your cookie sheet and making sure you don't use a nonstick sheet help as well!
Can you please tell me how much cocoa I can use if I want to have a cocoa cookie

I cannot find the metal cookie press anywhere. Have you stopped making it?
Hi Carrie! At this time, we are no longer making the metal Preferred Press and our current model is the plastic Simple Success Cookie Press!
@@wilton Oh man, that's too bad. It was the best.
We're so glad you liked it, we'll let the team know!
Thank you but can you please ask them to start making them again. Plastic ones don’t hold up.
So cute~

If it can only be used to make cookies and nothing else it's useless to me.

Thanks for clarifying, we haven't tested using the cookie press for anything other than cookies, so we can't recommend it.
I thought this video was actually a video about making spritz cookies but it’s more like a commercial. We all need more commercials in our life!
