I have a problem, have you experienced this? When I'm flying with the autopilot set for heading and altitude, when I push the left stick to bring up the menu, the plane goes into nose dive. Bit of a problem when you're trying to access the control tower comms. Any thoughts?
@@TheSlagwerker I have a similar issue. The only fix I have found is to plug a wireless USB mouse into my Xbox Series X. I can use that to navigate menus and don't need to click the left thumb stick to bring up the cursor. HUGE quality of life upgrade!
Yeah i agree. I kept have constant issues and i stopped playing MCFS for about a year. Stumbled on this video and getting back into it now. I can’t tell if it’s a good thing or a bad thing because now i want to spend a lot of money buy a full flight simulator setup 🤣

Thanks so much for this. After just two tries with these settings my landings are now (somewhat) competent. The rudder controls were throwing me off - as you say, they're way too sensitive for an Xbox controller.
Hoe gaan dit, broer! This video was a life saver for me. Upon takeoff, I kept stalling my Cesna Skyhawk 337 and it was immensely frustrating. Learning these adjustments has helped tremendously. Thanks for your hard work and sharing. BTW, I think MSFS for the XBox Series X is a marvel in computer engineering and a testament to what others can do with it. I would like to see some realistic military combat sims in the console world. I would be in heaven.
What a neat tutorial. I got my tail wheel endorsement at Boundary Bay in a Waco Classic. On my first flight, we were number 2 for takeoff behind a Hawker Sea Fury.

Another great video Mark. I have this sim installed on my desktop and also my gaming laptop. On the desktop I have my honeycomb yoke, saitek throttle quadrant and Thrustmaster t3pa pro racing pedals and all work perfectly. On my lappy I use my Xbone controller and it's a pain, lack of finesse and over aggressive controls meaning I rarely use my lappy. This video has given me the boot up the backside that I need, to get it set up properly!! Cheers :)
Finally was waiting for an updated video been flying since July and the rudders have been a pain and just like you said only touching sensitivity can get sloppy when trying to fly " realistically" Started to get a feeling it was something to do with the extremity dead zones I had reactivity down on my rudders which didn't turn out desirable but I think this will fix what was wrong Thank you again
I have a Velocity flight panel kitted out with 8 x Logitech FIP's, Dual Logitech Radio stacks, Honeycomb Alpha Yoke, Bravo Throttle. But it is a pain in the backside. Takes up so much room. I have to sit way back from my monitor whilst peering over the top of the panel. I'm also limited to GA and Airliners when I often want to fly DCS too. I'm Seriously considering tearing it all down and using a controller.

I'm still waiting for Asobo/Microsoft to implement a fix to the controls settings to make the sim automatically select each preset for every peripheral when we select any aircraft, just so we don't have to remember which preset is associated with what aircraft. In other words, we want this simulator to automatically recognize that a yoke, rudder, and throttle presets we have for a Cessna 172 will not work for a Boeing 747 or a 787 and vise-versa.. the simulator just doesn't automatically switch to peripheral presets for a large commercial airliner. That has been a problem since day one.
Every time I try moving the yoke on controller it moves my entire seat position too how do I get it to stop doing that it’s very annoying I can’t stay in the air for more then 2 mins before I lose sight of what’s in front of me due to this stupid bug or whatever it is by design I don’t know but I’m sick and tired of moving around the cockpit when I’m only trying to steer the damn plane why is it so damn difficult to play on controller I thought this game released on controller ridiculous that I’m having this much trouble with a game that’s supposedly been optimized for controller clearly NOT the case

Something has happened and now my Xbox controller doesn’t seem to allow me to do any of that. I don’t know what happened or how to get it back to the way it was. Hi Guys, just a question. I have thought about buying this sim for a long time now and just recently subscribed to Xbox game pass. There is a Beta version available to play so I downloaded it onto my Xbox. It kind of gives you the experience but I do think that as its part of the game pass package they are not going to give you the full experience, am I right? I have very quickly realised that an Xbox One is not a good enough tool to play this Sim so I have purchased an Xbox series X to use. Most of the games that I have beaten (Red Dead Redemption / Ghost Recon Breakpoint / Ghost Recon Wildlands) have been played on a 60" TV screen but I am quickly realising that a new Tv / Monitor would be better, what do you think and what would you recommend for best viewing. I can appreciate that there are some very knowledgeable people playing this Sim so as I'm quite an old Lady for this (68) LOL, please could I ask that you keep the replies simple X
For the full package you need the premium deluxe upgrade. (Additional cost). X Box series X is a great choice. Suggest 30-32’’ 4K monitor for best resolution, but same size with 2560 x 1440p resolution would be great also. TV is not a bad choice especially if it is UHD.
@@SimHangerFS Hi Thanks for your reply. Can you tell me what is the difference between standard and deluxe editions?, is it just the amount of stuff that is available to fly etc?. I cant seem to find the deluxe version available on disc, only downloadable codes. I don't want to download the game as i have done that before , the problem was there was some issues with Xbox crashing etc and i lost the lot and couldn't get any of it back, so a disc is the way forward for me, at least if it crashes etc i can re download it . If its a download it gets lost in space, if its adisc you have full controll over re downloading it, anyway whats the difference betwen them?, thank you
@@SimHangerFS yup, when i subscribed to game pass there is a download of flight sim on there, also loads of other games as well, FIFA / Forza / call of duty etc etc but i have to say the flight sim is a BETA version so would indicate that its not fully finished yet an example being that when you follow your instructions for start up to the 747, yes everything goes ok, engines, pushback etc but then all of a sudden the throttle controls seize up and the plane carries on going backwards, really unstable, that's why its on game pass because its just a taster really, the purchased game has to be better. I think the standard version will be ok for me, if i want more planes i can buy them online plus the weather etc.
@@jacquelynelmore3282 on game pass you purchase the standard version only. Upgrade to deluxe and deluxe premium can be done in sim. There is a beta out for sim update 10….avoid this option. Releasing 24 August.
Hi there, i have a question about the xbox controller connectet to the xbox cloud gaming Microsoft Flight Sim 2020, there is a very slow movement on the rudder when i use LT and RT Trigger on the controller to control the airplane it seems like its not reacting as it use to do and goes slow when i taxi the plane, i setup the rudder right but its like there is something wrong, ehen i startet the sim first time it went faster and better to control the steering on the ground. Yes they should all be disabled.
My XboxS controllers left stick has stopped working as throttle and roll. Otherwise it works, eg to move the cursor. Any ideas please?

Use the other joystick and not in drone mode

Yes, go to control options and manually change the config for the controller.

Set these to a button ideally not an axis.
For some reason it won't let me change my view position, it just does not respond.
Check your cockpit camera setting from the top toolbar…you need to be in pilot and freelook mode

Most are compatible..I use a cheap Logitech set.

I have very quickly realised that an Xbox One is not a good enough tool to play this Sim so I have purchased an Xbox series X to use. Most of the games that I have beaten (Red Dead Redemption / Ghost Recon Breakpoint / Ghost Recon Wildlands) have been played on a 60" TV screen but I am quickly realising that a new Tv / Monitor would be better, what do you think and what would you recommend for best viewing. I can appreciate that there are some very knowledgeable people playing this Sim so as I'm quite an old Lady for this (68) LOL, please could I ask that you keep the replies simple X
For the full package you need the premium deluxe upgrade. (Additional cost). X Box series X is a great choice. Suggest 30-32’’ 4K monitor for best resolution, but same size with 2560 x 1440p resolution would be great also. TV is not a bad choice especially if it is UHD.
@@SimHangerFS Hi Thanks for your reply. Can you tell me what is the difference between standard and deluxe editions?, is it just the amount of stuff that is available to fly etc?. I cant seem to find the deluxe version available on disc, only downloadable codes. I don't want to download the game as i have done that before , the problem was there was some issues with Xbox crashing etc and i lost the lot and couldn't get any of it back, so a disc is the way forward for me, at least if it crashes etc i can re download it . If its a download it gets lost in space, if its adisc you have full controll over re downloading it, anyway whats the difference betwen them?, thank you
@@jacquelynelmore3282 hi, the difference is the number of aircraft etc. only standard version is available on disc. You could get it via game pass?
@@SimHangerFS yup, when i subscribed to game pass there is a download of flight sim on there, also loads of other games as well, FIFA / Forza / call of duty etc etc but i have to say the flight sim is a BETA version so would indicate that its not fully finished yet an example being that when you follow your instructions for start up to the 747, yes everything goes ok, engines, pushback etc but then all of a sudden the throttle controls seize up and the plane carries on going backwards, really unstable, that's why its on game pass because its just a taster really, the purchased game has to be better. I think the standard version will be ok for me, if i want more planes i can buy them online plus the weather etc.
@@jacquelynelmore3282 on game pass you purchase the standard version only. Upgrade to deluxe and deluxe premium can be done in sim. There is a beta out for sim update 10….avoid this option. Releasing 24 August.
Do u know the issue with msfs2020 not saving my settings? Just did all of them and is not saving. Is a new fresh sim installation

Hi there, i have a question about the xbox controller connectet to the xbox cloud gaming Microsoft Flight Sim 2020, there is a very slow movement on the rudder when i use LT and RT Trigger on the controller to control the airplane it seems like its not reacting as it use to do and goes slow when i taxi the plane, i setup the rudder right but its like there is something wrong, ehen i startet the sim first time it went faster and better to control the steering on the ground. Can u help me Sir? there is a way to do this?
Check pilot assist (assist options) is turned off. Check controller assist is also off.

Use the sensitivity settings in control options and turn them into the -70% area

@@AlenSa63 no need to adjust dead zone unless you have ‘’chatter’’ on the axis, then -10%
