The second Nolan cried, I cried…the r34 is the ultimate dream car that will be unattainable to so many of us. I’m glad he was able to live his dream and get behind the wheels.
I don’t even know what to say, this is just… so amazing. I can’t even imagine how you guys felt being inside all these icons, let alone actually driving them
@20:06 Man, what a cool shot. James noticing Nolan's "moment" as they ended the drive and cracking a smile, knowing he was so pumped to drive this thing. Then ya got Justin patting Nolan on the back. These guys really are true friends. And of course, James gets out of the car and goes "NOLAN STARTED CRYING!" And they became brothers lol.
A was lucky enough to grow up watching the ATCC (Australian Touring Car Championship) back in the 70's, 80's and 90's and my favourite car was R32 which was so dominant it killed Group A in Australia. The R32 will always be my favourite, but I think the 2nd Generation is the most beautiful. Personally, I wouldn't say no to one of each. 😄 Great video.
Now this is a special donut episode for all the car enthusiasts around the world. Watching them grinning from ear to ear is just pure joy. Goes back to when I got my first car toy.

Tears came to my eyes when Nolan was driving the R34. It's like more than a car. It's a legendary car and as a car guy, we should drive a one at least once.
Yeah ... but they didn't really drive it hard at all, 😒 A bit of a disappointment to be honest, any car can cruise but its only alive when driving Hard on the track - which didn't happen with the R34, 😑😪 (I bet the owner wouldn't allow it, 🥸👎)
@@robertives973 Them saying "I drove every GTR" sounds good but if they had said "at 30 mph on a deserted track" that is pointless as it's just driving like any normal car. 😒
You guys honestly deserve everything you get from Donut. The raw emotion you displayed demonstrates just how passionate you are for these legends in car form. I feel privileged and so lucky (I mean I worked hard, with a painful chronic lifelong illness, but I still feel lucky) getting into my Audi S3 Quattro 2017, filling me with childlike glee after working hard to afford one, so I can only imagine getting into some of the absolute best cars on the planet.
This was some great cinematography. Great b-roll, nice shots of the cars in the track with the mountains in the background. Rain helped set a mood along with the great music selection. Way to add a feeling of fun and awe to this legendary lineup.

Other people than japanese can pronounce "ska" as in Skyline. That's japanese own katakana pronounciation flaw. They should have called it "Hakoska" in the beginning
This was great. I feel like this sort of drive and rate D-List is a very good format. Would love to see this for other icons like the STI, Evo, Celica, 3 Series, etc. Keep up the good work guys!
They would probably gel over the sti , skip to the 22b then right into the big eye , missing out all the better GC8 sti versions .. I feel they don’t know enough on JDM cars .. can’t blame them as they didn’t get them all to enjoy on the US like the rest of us did
You can really feel the love of the brand and the storied history from the guys during this video. Specifically the R34 step out, audio, and the ambiance/vibe.

The second Nolan cried, I cried…the r34 is the ultimate dream car that will be unattainable to so many of us. I’m glad he was able to live his dream and get behind the wheels.
And that is a message from the big chungus
Cries in McLaren F1
I don’t even know what to say, this is just… so amazing. I can’t even imagine how you guys felt being inside all these icons, let alone actually driving them
@20:06
Man, what a cool shot.
That R-34 moment got me, and I'm just sitting at home watching it, can't imagine how the boys felt.
Me either man! The r32 would be my personal favorite though
We all cired with Nolan there..
Just an old 300hp car. Maybe it was cool 15-20 years ago, now any family saloon is faster
@@LightThePrince But is any current family saloon a R-34? Its not 100% about being fast its the history behind it
@@douppi2877 i respect that, i just cant stand that fake reaction like they are making a lap in F1
I love Nolan for crying when he was about to drive the R34. That’s love and passion coming outta them face holes
Great video.
Now this is a special donut episode for all the car enthusiasts around the world. Watching them grinning from ear to ear is just pure joy. Goes back to when I got my first car toy.
Fun fact: the R35 has been around for longer than the entire Nissan brand
As Datsun right? 😄
The R35 or the GTR name? Or are you just poking fun at the how old the current platform is now?

This reminds me of the old content we've been sorely missing. After the civic video I'm glad this series is continuing
Wish we get more of this series for a lot of legendary cars, would love a Z version
This compared to the civic was just on a whole new level.
One of my favorite Donut videos. It's cool watching the progression of the silhouette and seeing the the obvious influence of the r30 on the s13.
This video is everything Donut are about!
Woah what’s up toast its the one and only beatbox reactor!
What in the world? Toast you react to this too?? Neat👍

Justin has been such a great addition to the team. He needs more screen time as the lead host.
What a great segment. Please keep coming with this kind of stuff 💯
Drive all generations with Mitsubishi Evo, Subaru WRX, Tesla models, Mazda rotary, Mitsubishi Pajero, Dodge challenger, Audi quattro, Lancia legacy, AE85 and AE86 and more. Keep it up

4:46 I think it has 3 double barrel carbs instead of 6. But it sounds like 6 because of the 6 intakes with the loudest trumpets on them
No way you guys pulled a Nissan sponsor! You guys are killing it! So proud

Tears came to my eyes when Nolan was driving the R34. It's like more than a car. It's a legendary car and as a car guy, we should drive a one at least once.
Yeah ... but they didn't really drive it hard at all, 😒 A bit of a disappointment to be honest, any car can cruise but its only alive when driving Hard on the track - which didn't happen with the R34, 😑😪
(I bet the owner wouldn't allow it, 🥸👎)
@@stevenmack9948 It probably was their insurance. That’s not a cheap car to fix and definitely not cheap to replace
@@robertives973 Them saying "I drove every GTR" sounds good but if they had said "at 30 mph on a deserted track" that is pointless as it's just driving like any normal car. 😒
@@stevenmack9948 probably because of the rain as well
@@Doobs911 But 30 mph in a 4×4 Gtr, I think it could do double if not triple without getting anywhere near a limit, it was LAME !! 🤨👎
The look James gives Nolan at 20:05 just sums it up
That was legit one of realest things I’ve seen on the tube of yous.
Nolan is such a sweetie, its so fun seeing people experience their passions in real time
You guys honestly deserve everything you get from Donut.
I agree, came to say the same. This is a top tier Donut video, with a really well thought out edit, and a musical score that matched the emotions for each scene and generation. Superb job by the Donut bts crew on this one.
It's really wholesome to see the Donut staff become kids again and accomplish a child dream of driving this cars!!
11:50 Goosebumps😮❤ The R32 Skyline
This is by far my favorite Donut episode. And the roller at 16:27 is pure beauty!
Hey man when nolan cried cause he finally got to drive the r34 I felt that man. That shit just hit different when it's no longer a dream.
When I was stationed in Okinawa in the USMC I had a second Gen Skyline Turbo. Loved that car. Too bad I couldn't bring it back with me.
I feel Nolan as far as first reactions to being in an r34 I'd cry too. As a car enthusiasts and being able to even just drive your dream car is a moment in life you'll never forget
I think what made this episode great was the guys got to do something epic for them and we got to experience it with them. Thanks for the vicarious ride.
Thank you Nolan for representing all of us gearheads in that R34. I could feel you emotions driving, exactly what would happen to me. One of the greatest video from Donut, congratz boys
Who else thinks they should do this for every Mustang?
I cried when I got my 2003 cobra mustang. It’s a real car guy thing, most don’t understand. The love for a hunk of metal and glass and rubber is unexplainable, but very real. Thanks to donut media for being so cool and making this kind of content. Nolan you’re a badass, all of you are amazing.
HEY FAN, I HAVE GIFT FOR YOU 🎁, SEND A DIRECT MESSAGE.
the smiles on the three boys faces was heartwarming, the pure pleasure & appreciation for those sweet rides...
This video was excellent even for donut standards, the voice overs were great and whoever chose the music and edited this one absolutely killed it. Emotion was portrayed beautifully and really had me excited for each car. Great feeling overall watching this.
Awesome job, guys! I'm jealous as I'm sure most watching this are, but especially since I've never actually driven any GTR's (I do drive a 2015 Juke, but don't hate on me too much lol) I love the 32 because it's "Godzilla" and how can you not, but that 34 doe.... Maybe someday I'll get to drive at least one of these if not all of them like you guys were lucky enough to do. Keep up the awesome work gentlemen!
nolan's reaction to the r34 gtr is what it's all about man
so much passion in the history and meaning behind the car, I TOTALLY understand where he was coming from

The KPGC10 is my all time dream car. Was lucky enough to be a passenger in one last year. Btw, the U in Hakosuka is silent! Greetings from Yokohama 🇯🇵
It's the c110 Kenmeri for me 😁 sadly the prices have skyrocketed now 🥲 It's not all bad tho I still got my pride and joy 280z 😌
Oh good because "suka" is a very bad word in a lot of middle, eastern European countries. Lol
I prefer this car too, wish i could own it one day
@@TermlessHGW who cares about Eastern Europe

And Nato bribes them
Other people than japanese can pronounce "ska" as in Skyline.
Id love to see those and Mustang, Camaro, and Charger
3 series is a great call
They would probably gel over the sti , skip to the 22b then right into the big eye , missing out all the better GC8 sti versions .. I feel they don’t know enough on JDM cars .. can’t blame them as they didn’t get them all to enjoy on the US like the rest of us did
You can really feel the love of the brand and the storied history from the guys during this video. Specifically the R34 step out, audio, and the ambiance/vibe.
I've traveled to Japan to find them, made videos about them, talked to owners on them and own one myself...they are marvels and have there own mystic. You made a great video and I understand the tears...perfection can be overwhelming.
The cinematics at 17:23 are so gorgeous!!! Looks like something you'd see in a video game render for a trailer!!

Man seeing that R34 in the rain is just beautiful. I nearly cry thinking that i went to view one that was advertised at 24k in 2016 and passed up on it due to some minor bodywork issues 😭
Yeah up here in Canada we had no idea how high they’d climb once the US could get them. I remember scoffing at the price of a mint R32 GTR at $15,000 CAD in 2012…
Yeah i'm in Australia, i remember when they were around $40k for a near mint one :O doesn't seem long ago
Shout out to the editing team, they are killing it with these intros and overall vibes.

I definitely teared up watching y'all in the R34. Such an icon for any car guy who grew up in the 2000s, I don't think many would have a dry eye after that.

I hope this is a "make gt-r trending for a while so we can make hype for the new gen gt-r"

The R33 has always been my favorite GT-R similar to why the Evo VI is my favorite generation of Lancer Evolution. Mid 90s body style absolutely jam packed with tech and engineering, resulting in a car that not only performs great, but is insanely easy to drive normally.
donut has grown so much as a brand and as a youtube channel but this felt like they were starting all over again, especially when they got in the 34. the excitement was unreal.

R33 so underrated... Especially the 400R, that was and still is the ultimate Skyline to roll out of the factory, even though only 40/ 44 were ever made... 🥰
