An unconventional beauty
Gorgeous Camargue!
The Camargue has always been my favorite Rolls Royce. I have only ever seen one in my life here in NC. I intend to own one someday.
Johnny Buck: me too, very costly but really worth it!
It is a Rolls copy of the Fiat 130 coupe and looks like it......way short of Rolls styling
a stunning example, always look nicer in a darker colour. only 531 manufactured.
I think the gorgeous & rarified Camargue looks far better in light shades; there’s a Silver example not far from where I live, & I’ve seen in person a light blue & a white example - truly perfection. That said with only 500+ ever built, I’d happily owned a dark beauty like this one ;)
Stunningly beautiful car.
That really is a classy motor car. I was lucky enough to see a factory registered car 1800TU in Birmingham and spoke to the driver about it. It was in two tone paint with headlight wipers. The factory kindly sent me a in-house magazine Quest which featured the Carmargue, I applaud David Plastow for getting this into production.
I doubt the steering wheel in the featured Carmargue is a factory item ,nontheless the Crewe cars seem to me have a timeless grace.
Hi Adrian. If you love this car... have you seen this video yet? ua-cam.com/video/dWjLbrpJ5Qk/v-deo.html
Un capolavoro su quattro ruote. Meravigliosa.
I really like the Camargue. I secretly wish it were my daily driver. I enjoy large bulky 2-door coupes
Hey Rob, thanks! Have you seen this one already? ua-cam.com/video/dWjLbrpJ5Qk/v-deo.html
It s very ugly!
Gold Lady and Gold Nardi steering wheel! Unbelievable! The chap who formerly owned this Roller must have been a pimp!😂🤣😂
Fantasy ❤
At that time the most exclusive Rolls, I still like it's design.
Fiat 130 coupe copy
The camargue had plenty of the Rolls Royce elegance .😎
Love the seats in these cars - look like you will just sumptuously sink into them. Apparently the leather was the ultimate Connolly could offer, better even than that supplied for other model Rolls and Bentley.
It seemes to have been the most expensive car of its age, so you're probably right about the leather. Nice comment, thanks! Kind regards, Walter
Bellissima...Design Pininfarina!!!♥️
Gold mascot wooden steering wheel. Tacky.
Looks better than I thought, read an article about it on Bloomberg today. Apparently demand is picking up. Shame on the ugly third brake light, and it doesn't even work :-)
Beautiful ride...
To keep performance 'adequate' in a heavier car, the twin SU carburettors were replaced by a 4-barrel Solex unit.
I've always hated that Nardi steering wheel. It just does not belong in that car.
That’s one of the VERY few things I actually like about this car
I never really liked it .but it has aged well.compared to the new ones it looks pretty.
My dad’s Dodge 3700 gt had the same Nardi driving wheel
If I could get one for $18000 30k miles good service ,is that good ?? Love these cars ,thanks !
First rolls i like
this rolls royce are very rare indeed i have only ever seen one and that was back in the seventies by St Helens Merseyside i have seen more Vincent Motor bikes than this Camarague
Beauty, they say, is in the eye of the beholder.I personally like the Carnargue because it is a blend of Rolls-Royce dignity and command with that unmistakable Fiat 131 style. It's "ugly duckling" reputation is what makes it desirable.
Fiat 131 style ? Insane ! Have you ever seen any FIAT ?
Firstly, I made a typo in the posting, that ought to have read Fiat 130. Secondly, yes, I have seen a Fiat. Thirdly, the Carmargue (a coupe) was designed in collaboration with Sergio Pinnafarina who probably took his styling cues from his Fiat 130 design. Rolls Royce denied that the Carmargue was in fact a "variant" of the Fiat coupe however conceded that although there were certain visual similarities between the Carmargue and the Fiat, these were the product of the fashions of the era.
I doubt it will ever be considered pretty ......but it sure has pedigree and presence.
Mo D Hey, so glad you liked my video! Hopefully you'll find some more in all the videos I have made over the last couple of years. Thanks for your support! Stay tuned for a lot more exciting SCC-stuff in 2015. Regards from the Netherlands, Walter

I've seen three Camargue in the late 70's and early 80's here in Paris, and all had Saudi plates.
No. No battery cover is shown and what you see are the HSMO reservoirs. They were all marked in several languages and quite rightly Arabic is the last.
If I didn't know this was a real Rolls Royce model, I would assume it was somebody's attempt to make a Rolls out of a 70s Escort RS. The gap between the bonnet and the radiator shell is atrociously wide, the proportions are off, the dash is a sea of black plastic, and the rear valance is bland and anonymous. Not one of Rolls Royce's prouder moments. For $40K you can get a really nice Corniche and it looks much more like a Rolls.
Yeah. The amount of appallingly ugly "screw on" plastic in the dash is unbelievable. Corniche interior puts this to shame.
@@derekdalton5658 The dash was intended to look like that of an aircraft and what you see are not screws.
Elle est VRAIMENT MOCHE 🤣😅😀🤣😅😀
What a hideous steering wheel. And from the rear it looks like a Fiat or something. RR's low point.
Yes, and incredibly enough once the most expensive new-to-buy car in the world ;-)
It’s not unlike the Fiat 130 coupe
@@johnstairs pininfarina designed that too. The most elegant Rolls Royce were styled by the English coach builders. James Young. Mulliner Park ward etc.
Agreed horrible looking thing
@@stringer-ik1pc Love the two-door Silver Shadows from Mulliner Park Ward!
Rolls Royce engineer plus copious amounts of drugs.
LOLOL the FIAT Rolls Royce
