    Hi Aprille, that was a lovely session 💓🤗 I loved meeting the kitty who doesn't usually come for visit. 💓🤘🏼 What was his name? Regarding the mantra for seasonal transition and Vata Dosha, I was reminded of one of my favorite healing crystals, the dalmatian Jasper. One of the properties for this Crystal is to feel child like joy. Another is that it helps one to find joy in their manifestation on earth. The mantra for this Crystal is "I go with the flow of the universe knowing that I am protected".

    i love this practice.. have had a few digest issues and felt wobbly, ungrounded and in pain. this has really supported me to get back into the calm centred grounded space as well as feeling energy flow in my digestion again xx love to you Aprille xx

      @@YogaRangerStudio but the seal or sphinx pose causes me tensional headaches, how can i improve that?

      Try taking your feet wider, your arms more out on front, maybe go lower in seal and use a block or blocks for under your head. Some people find that taking their heads up or back and holding doesn't feel good so lengthen the neck and let it drop to chin or support.

    Perfection Aprille: Thank you for this practice and I did feel much more grounded afterwards. I learned a lot about transitioning from summer to fall. Never really thought about it as our modern world has turned away from such basics. And an almost 4 minute per side pigeon/swan pose!!! Didn’t think I could make it through and tried not to fidget but was proud of myself after. Mr. Patrick is a handsome guy and sure stuck around for being so camera shy. Thank you Aprille - you give so much and are such a mentor. Namaste and many blessing.

    This was amazing for me this morning! I need the grounding that you are speaking of just the fact that you spoke of it helped me ground more. The stretches were so helpful for my body and mind!

    I was going to say "well this is perfect for spring too!" and then you said it yourself:) Now I'm going to go and look for the other one...
    This was so enjoyable and really helped with first-day-of-period digestive issues... it was so deeply releasing that I could have remained hours in each pose! And as a zen-shiatsu practitioner, I loved all the different ways you have shown for opening the spleen and stomach meridians... thank you for sharing your abundant knowledge and, with these videos, making it easier to settle into a practice when it's too hard to do it alone :)

Seasonal transitions can be a little tricky to work through but with some preplanning and focus on assisting the mind/body with the transition - it can go a lot better and be far less challenging.       @@YogaRangerStudio you are so right dear aprille...i get confused these days as to which practice i should persue...the other i practiced the chakra video &that helped tremendously...these days the fatigue sets in out of nowhere &then after a few hours i feel fine...so today i practiced yin yoga for immunesystem...     Thanks for this class! What is the name of the breathing, and the purpose of holding the breath at the bottom?

      You are very welcome Kathy! The breath or pranayama practice is called kumbhaka. Breath rentention at the top of the inhale is antara kumbhaka and retaining at the bottom of the exhale is bahya kumbhaka. According to B.K.S. Light on Pranayama, bahya kumbhaka is the state in which a yogi surrenders. I find that breath retention at the bottom of the exhale helps release the body and mind more deeply and helps deepen the overall sense of peacefulness as well as assisting the body in coming into the "rest and digest" mode which promotes healing and restoration.     is it me? I have real trouble hearing you accept when you're on your stomache. I had my TV volume up to 56! I find I have to constantly reach for the remote to raise, then lower the volume....distracting, but I love your videos!!
