The Woodford is good, but for wheater whiskey I prefer Bernhiem . I'm going to "Barts Town" next week, tours at Makers, Bartons and Lux Row. Then next day Four Roses, Bulleit and Buffalo Trace. No Heaven Hill, they are on strike, so I will need to find Bernhiem somewhere else.
When there were candy cigarettes, people didn't generally think that smoking was REALLY bad for you. Also people minded their own business, which was nice.
This was our least favorite distiller that we visited on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. But if you like horses and women wearing large Derby Hats, this might be the place for you. We had a five-cask bourbon that tasted like too sweet candy. They just built a new bar house but it's closed for Covid. So, you have to drink outside. Not that drinking outside is bad but it was 100 degrees in the shade that day.

Bah! Kerosene, at best! As a child I had a cap pistol that fired gunpowder caps in a roll. Of course there were duds. The roll was replaced with hard plastic disk that had six shots. There was rarely a dud. Good to know in a shoot-out.
You guys are funny. Try to go run around with a fake machine gun and fake cigarette today and see where that gets you. To be a bourbon it must be minimum 51% corn. A wheat whiskey is a minimum 51% wheat. I've never had this one. Great review.
I don't happen to care for Woodford Reserve bourbon, because it has one note that puts me off, which smells and especially tastes like some solvent that should only come from a hardware store. (I dislike the herb tarragon, too; any at all will ruin a dish for me.) I wonder how many people have such a deal-breaking distaste, but only encounter it in a very few whiskeys. I used to assume that Woodford Reserve represented a triumph of marketing over flavor, but now I assume it simply doesn't taste the same to everyone. Fortunately, it seems that the people who decide how other whiskies will taste usually omit that one note.

The mash bill breakdown is Wheat 52%, Malt (20%), Corn (20%) and Rye (8%).
