    Had a few comments saying that charging works when connected to the Switch! Don’t know why it doesn’t work for me but that’s good news if it’s supposed to work.

      That's the one issue with getting these non licensed peripherals, higher chance of getting a lemon. I still wanna pick up a pair at some point. Don't care about using them wirelessly but having motion and rumble really puts them over getting a split pad for me.

    It would be much better if you could hook them up to the center piece and plug a charger into that so it charges both at the same time, it seems really annoying that you have to charge them separately.
    I guess you said they're supposed to be able to charge from the switch, that would work too. If it has that then it's a pretty cool controller.

    Can't get the Binbok in my country (South Africa) without paying mad import fees, recently got the Split Pad pro cos my joycons are a bit busted and I quite love em. I don't think many people actually use the joycons removed from the switch as is but I'm really glad we have these good options for both handheld play. Also just saw that you've posted a good amount of vids for me to catch up on, what a good ending to this day

      Hello fellow South African! I actually got the Binboks off Amazon. But I had the same issue with diagonals not registering and my left shoulder button also didn't work. I emailed Binbok a few times before getting a response, after which they asked for the Amazon order ID and then never did anything further. So I eventually had to request a refund from Amazon. Until they improve the quality control, I'd say it's unfortunately not worth the hassle.

      @@Ray57 Yoooo what's good! How bad was the international pay? I've seen some stuff that we don't have in the country (like the 8bitDo Arcade stick) on Amazon but i've always worried about how much extra I'd have to pay. Ah that sucks dude, sorry to hear. Haven't had the split pad for very long (legit got it a few days ago) but so far everything feels really good and responsive. I'm in CPT and got them from Pwned Games, really good store (they deliver nationwide apparently too)

    • @Ray57

      @@aizensa9708 It's not too bad. I usually save up and do a bulk order to split shipping over more items. Amazon shows shipping + taxes before you check out, so you can see what you are in for. Local retailers often add massive markups in any case, so you end up paying a similar price (e.g. I just checked and the hori split pad pros are cheaper via Amazon than what Pwned is advertising for, even after including shipping + taxes). The only hassle is returns.
      Pwned's prices are kinda hectic though! I bought my split pad pros from the official SA Nintendo store and they have them for almost R200 cheaper than Pwned. (Mine's just getting a bit banged up, so was hoping to replace them with the Binboks)

    • @aizensa9708
      @aizensa9708 2 роки тому

      @@Ray57 Yeah pwned is a bit pricey but I usually suck it up for the convenience, how's the Nintendo SA store work? They deliver on time and everything? Been to sketch to try them out actually

    Under the Binbok controller D-Pad there is stickers to make the D-Pad feel like joy con D-Pad so if you open the controller and take the Stickers out it will feel much better but not perfect

    Did you test about the Dead zone on the sticks?
    On Switch you can test the space of the analoge sticks. I have the same joycons and I tried all firmware versions but I still got about 5% up to 15% of range as a dead zone around the end of motion.
    If you go right, on Switch it is already completely right even if you have 15% movement left to gor full right.
    In Smash it was still good to play, but this is something you really need to mention.
    Greetings from Germany ^_^

    I have a question. Those controllers had a Charging Port. So if you charge your switcch with the controllers attach it charge it too??

  • @ceg0915
    @ceg0915 2 роки тому

    Have had them for about 2 months now. My first set had same issue with right remote z button being extra clicky compares to the left so returned them. 2nd pair came In first 2 weeks right remote was definitely quiter than the first set, but after being used the clicking noise did get louder to how it was on the first pair.... I wonder if something internally gets worn out amd causes it to make the noise. Other than that definitely best remote available for the switch.

    Interestingly enough, i prefer the Joy Con's Dpad in games like Tetris or Puyo, i can't get any accidental diagonal inputs that way. I like it even more than my Fighting Commander, which is now my primary pad for fighting games. Even though i got an arcade stick, i am still like twice as fast on a pad compared to a stick

    • @PSNMyfoot
      @PSNMyfoot 2 роки тому

      Sticks and pads have different strengths, moving faster on pad is very reasonable, it’s a much shorter movement, although holding charge is IMO way more tiring. But the button layout on stick/hitbox also has it’s advantages, I would never be able to do most karas and fast inputs on pad, like Yun’s Daipan Loop and Kara Palms. Ppl act as if there’s a definite answer to the controller argument (not talking about you), but it’s such a nuanced topic. Even hitbox has disadvantages for ppl with small hands like me.

    Actually, i think it would be interesting for us to know how the local competitive scene works in Japan, maybe you go to the tournaments yourself? Perhaps it would be quite an interesting topic to discuss over a cup of coffee

    • @PSNMyfoot
      @PSNMyfoot 2 роки тому

      Games that have arcade versions are usually played on arcade hardware, for consistency and because most venues that hold tournaments are arcades. For newer, console only games, afaik it’s usually console like the rest of the world, for consistency between stations and compatibility with controllers, which players are expected to bring.
