I'm not a drummer, but when I was a kid I bought a cheap kit and tried to learn. I struggled with basic beats, the idea of playing one thing with my hands and something different with my feet was something my brain couldn't process and yet I know there are tons of people out there that can do that easily. To watch you play a different beat for each limb and keep it all perfectly in sync is the most mind-boggling thing! You are an amazing drummer, your technique seems flawless, and you make it look effortless. Keep doing what you do, your raw talent is amazing and thanks for sharing it with us.

Absolutely, it's crazy how time flies. Back then, 3-minute videos were sufficient, but now it seems like there's a push to artificially extend content to hit that 10-minute mark and go all out on production. Whether this actually improves the quality of videos is subjective; everyone gets to decide for themselves. Welcome to the new era of online content, resembling a bit of the traditional television approach

It makes sense. Probably reaches alot more people with English videos. Sure you have most of South America with Spanish...but pretty much all of Russia speaks fluent English, most of north America, half of Europe, and all of Australia. Just a lesson for your kids, back in the 90's, I came up with the idea for this pedal. I was told that it was lame because it was "cheating." I also came up with the idea to use the air conditioning to atomize the fuel differently for drag racing and was told that the gains from proper fuel atomization was not worth the draw from the compressor... Lesson being, don't listen to anybody. You have an idea, go for it. Don't let them fill you with doubt.

Theoretically, you could also play additional bass drum(s) with your hands and get really crazy with the BPM with all hands and feet at once… 🤔 Timing would be tough, but if anyone could do it you can! To infinity and beyond!!!

Kevin Mackie, the main man and inventor of the Duallist is a good friend of mine. The added benefit the Duallist is to open up the drummer’s imagination. The only thing that should restrict what a drummer can do is their imagination!

I think you should try playing Opeth - Deliverance with the new 4 pedal setup. It has amazing sofr parts for your finesse play PLUS the most evil amazing double pedal parts, that will obviously become at least 4 times as cool with your pedal.

I'm new to playing drums (although I recently signed up, so beware! Hahaha! Just kiddin’), but I just noticed that when you said that you added a second double pedal, a thought immediately appeared in my head - brilliant! Now all you have to do is "kick" one side with one small gap and then you will go crazy twice as fast! I don't foresee such spectacular results as you, El Estepario, but I already feel that I will have a lot of fun with the drums!

I've never been a drummer or even close, but El Estepario brings the discipline to a place where I can understand a little about how difficult it is to do the things he's doing, and I can truly appreciate the difficulty level thanks to his explanations and videos. Oh, and if this robot battle isn't Terminator 2k24, I don't know what is.

Estepario! Great content as ever. You're awesome, man. Three possibilities without a specific song in mind: What if you swap snare and drums in a song? Maybe you can even play snares with your feet, placing two snares on the floor? Or, with this configuration, play a song using only your feet?

  • @necomorbus4219

You need 2 sonor giant step single double independent heel toe pedals. What the dualists lack is true instantaneous independence since you must burn off a beat to actively switch modes. I love the mindset youre on pushing boundaries. Im not talking sh**. Its all in love. Check out videos of the drummer from the band Henker who had a double dual pedal setup that is a superior mechanism hitting brrrrrr speeds nobody including you or the robot have touched yet.
I saw Captured by Robots live when they toured with Nile and Terrorizor. That was a top notch show for someone who loves drums and innovators. Cheers dude. Keep putting out great drum videos please. I always click your videos. Its a total vibe from you

Set the left pedal so each beater is hitting a different thing (such as using an agogo but each beater hits the different tuned bells).
It would also be a mission of complexity to try and get Herta patterns put of a single-double. Play bleed with foot, while doing extra accents (such as following the vocal line) with a snare on your left foot. Use the foot snare and hands for awesome fills.
What about a pattern that is similar to your "hardest" pattern video, where you alternate the hats and kicks, but it alternates each pedal on/off of the doubles?
