Yessss Indonesian food to finish it off! Ohh that wok hei in the nasi goreng and topped with that nice fried egg too. And the mie goreng looks great too - can see why the stir fried dishes are their specialty
I just moved to Melbourne and am a big foodie but new here so bet my first thought was "where's the yummy food at"? Then i stumbled upon this treasure of a duo and there channel and i am so THANKFULL for you guys! i loved all the places you checked at and will follow on for more yummy new spots
Thank you ao much for the support! Hope we can produce new videos later this year 🙏 You can follow our IG account for more quick food updates in Melbourne 😃
Remember you highlighted grilled beef ribs before too and craving them all over again now! Beef ribs are some of our favorite cuts, especially that style with the big chunk on top. Ohhh sup buntut too!
That’s right! Beef ribs are one of our favourite cuts too. Love them cooked in Indonesian way, glazed with sweet soy sauce, accompanied by sambal 🤤🤤 Haha yeah sop buntut is the type of soup we always get when eating out in Indonesian restaurants because it’s something we never cook it at home. We should learn it some day!
That Halal snack pack looks a lot like our chicken or lamb over rice in NYC, but with fries instead! All of that white sauce on top with BBQ & hot sauce. Looks like a perfect late night food
My favourite restaurant : Pondok Rempah is a great place to eat. Last time I had Pisang Goreng, Nasi Uduk Ayam Kremes and my favourite drink: Teh Tarik.
That's a huuuuge dosa!!! Good to see halal chinese food there! Haha love the way Ony sip down that bowl of soup noodles! The name itself Pondok Rempah is making my mouth water already! Oh nasi goreng is a common breakfast in Indonesia? that's awesome! Mmmm mie goreng and ayam penyet look so good! Yes hands the way to go! Awhhh soup buntut and cendol!
Haha yes that dosa is so huge! Need to bring more people to help us finishing it. Yepp Indonesians love to eat nasi goreng as breakfast, you will see it in hotels in Indonesia 😁
I'm also always confused especially when it involves a new cuisine, but I'm glad you guys try it out! That's a lot of dishes you guys order at Tahiti. I've not tried halloumi or falafel before, that's a feast there!
Long time no see! We could eat kebabs for days! HAhaha That snack pack looks quite epic. Ooohh, never seen halloumi chips like that. Those have to be very good. Chicken biryani is also one of our favorite things ever. That's so interesting that you included noodles on this list. You guys always remind us that we need to try more Indonesian food. We'll need to look for a place here in Chicago. Those beef ribs!
Hey guys! Haha kebabs are so satisfying, arent they? You guys should try Lebanese style halloumi chips, sooo good 😍 Oh yessss! Please try Indonesian food if you can find it in your are, hope you can find some good ones 😄 Thanks for watching ❤️
You should visit Dosa Hut guys, in our opinion, the best dosa in CBD. However the real winner for us is the chicken 65 biryani, we always come back to order that 😆
Kebabs looked pretty good but man that dosa is where it's at. That's the biggest dosa I ever seen 😯 sounded like a great crispiness and with potato and sambal sounds like a nice combo. Those signature handpulled noodles also looked awesome, silky 🤤
Haha that dosa is so huge, we kinda regret ordering it because we both couldn’t finish it 😆 The lanzhou noodle is awesome too, with the humble broth, perfect to have it during rainy days 😍 Hope you have a great weekend guys!
Ooh that mighty halal snack looks mighty good! That is a huge snack lol... love all that sauce and meat on top!! 😋 I like the prawns and the chicken too! Whoa that's a long masala lol... the hand pulled noodles looked like my kind of soup too! The specialty drinks in the end too, yum!! So delicious guys, lots of good eats this episode 😋❤
Just came across this video and it's really amazing! The Chinese halal restaurant is no longer open as I was searching after watching this video. Can you recommend the best authentic Chinese halal restaurant is Melbourne
There are a couple of Lanzhou beef noodle shops in the city you can try. Try Master Lanzhou noodle bar and Bowtiful. Thanks so much for watching our video 😄
The fried rice and fried noodle are quite spicy, but you can opt in for non spicy. The stir fry veg is not spicy at all. Haha yeah Indonesian food is generally spicy, we don’t normally pair it with milk based drink, we pair it with ice sweet tea 😆
Hi guys, wow the food looks fantastic, that first halal meat and fries pack looked so good, but I love Indian food do that Indian meal would bd my favourite 👌🏼🤤 did you both add the captions to your video? I couldn’t take them off.
Hi Angie! Sure, Indian meal is always a feast and good, with all those exotic spices 😄 Yes, we deliberately added the open caption in this video. This video is actually a collab between us and the last restaurant in the video. They will need to play the video in front of the restaurant window with no sound, to allow viewers to understand what we are saying, we decided to put the open captions 😄 hope that’s ok for you! Thanks for asking and watching our video 😊
ohh we walked pass by "Pondok Rempah" before haha we should get in! you guys ordered so many, how did you finish them all? the beef ribs look so tender and juicy...and eye-ing the "Happy Soda" and "Drunken Ice" =p
Ohh next time you visit Melb, should visit Pondok Rempah. We were suprised that they nail all the Indonesian flavour in every dish we ordered. No we didn’t finish them all, got the leftover for take away 😁😁
Hey Zahra! Nice to meet you the other day at Glenferrie station 😁 Haha yeah this video is perfect for you! Hope you enjoyed it and try all these 5 restaurants when you’re in the city 😄
Which restaurant in this video that has the best halal food in your opinion?
Can you guess our favourite too? 😁
😍
Yessss Indonesian food to finish it off! Ohh that wok hei in the nasi goreng and topped with that nice fried egg too. And the mie goreng looks great too - can see why the stir fried dishes are their specialty
Wohooo! Indonesian feast to finish it off, can’t get any better than that 😍🥰
Pondok Rempah looks like our next destination to eat lol all those street food brings me back to indonesia!! Nice selection for this ep!
Yesss! support this restaurant guys, so far they always deliver the real taste of Indonesian food. The owner is also really kind and friendly 👍🏻
That Chicken 65 biryani looks great - especially with all that clove flavor!
Haha funny that Dosa Hut specialises in dosa but we always go back to the restaurant because of their chicken 65 biryani, soooo goood!!! 😍

That shrimp skewer is just so good, especially with the seasoning 👍🏻
Remember you highlighted grilled beef ribs before too and craving them all over again now! Beef ribs are some of our favorite cuts, especially that style with the big chunk on top. Ohhh sup buntut too!

HSP! omg that looks so amazing! Tahini lebanese food looks sooooo good. I like all the different selections!
Haha that HSP was the best one that we had in a while. So good!
You should try Tahini Lebanese Diner, the food there is really good 👍🏻
That Halal snack pack looks a lot like our chicken or lamb over rice in NYC, but with fries instead! All of that white sauce on top with BBQ & hot sauce. Looks like a perfect late night food
Haha yes I remember watching your video about halal rice in NYC.
It’s a perfect late night food for sure 👍🏻😃

what we like about Lebanese food is that they have lots of variety of dipping and salad too :) and wow the dosa!

You will like it. It’s a great option for vegetarians 😁
Long time no see! We could eat kebabs for days! HAhaha That snack pack looks quite epic. Ooohh, never seen halloumi chips like that. Those have to be very good. Funny thing is that we have a place called Dosa Hutt here in Queens. We LOVE dosa - such a great dish. My (Greg) stepdad grew up in Chennai
Ahhh that’s cool your stepdad grew up in Chennai. Maybe he can tell how an authentic chicken 65 should be? 😁
Halal snack pack yea - everyone does that 🙌, its the best i have one 1 min from my place!
Haha HSP every night for you 😁
Great to see some halal food out there. Who knew there was Chinese food that was Halal certified! Great work guys :)
Thanks Chandy 😄
There are only a few halal Chinese restaurants here but glad that we can get some good ones 👌🏻
1:02 anything that big with the word 'Snack' in it puzzles me! XD
Hahaha exactly! That is one big meal, it can even feed two people.
Lebanese food is so good! You got a nice spread there
I know right! Such a colourful spread 😍
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Kebabs looked pretty good but man that dosa is where it's at. That's the biggest dosa I ever seen 😯 sounded like a great crispiness and with potato and sambal sounds like a nice combo. Those signature handpulled noodles also looked awesome, silky 🤤
Aside from Nick and Helmi's dosa actually haha that was massive
Haha that dosa is so huge, we kinda regret ordering it because we both couldn’t finish it 😆
The lanzhou noodle is awesome too, with the humble broth, perfect to have it during rainy days 😍
Hope you have a great weekend guys!

OMG ….. your videos are amazing…. The looks delish😋
70mm dosa geez thats insane big 😂👌, i wonder if its longer than the one we ate
Yeah we need orang sekampung buat bantu ngabisin itu dosa haha 😂
Thank you so much this was very helpful
Wondering if that second sauce for the dosa was a tamarind based chutney, though it looks lighter
It could have some tamarind in it because it’s sour, we just don’t know how it’s called in Indian’s cooking 😆
Feels like tomato based hmm
That stir fried looks so yummy!! love stir fried
Is it spicy?? we would need milk next to us hahahah
The fried rice and fried noodle are quite spicy, but you can opt in for non spicy. The stir fry veg is not spicy at all.
Haha yeah Indonesian food is generally spicy, we don’t normally pair it with milk based drink, we pair it with ice sweet tea 😆
@@TwoHungryDiners hahaha would tea be enough for these two chickens that don't eat spicy? Lol
Keep making videos like this ..Loved it do try some Pakistani food
Will do! Thanks so much for watching 🥰
this is very helpful!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching 🙂

That's a lot of food for the money ! Lieles is a big fan of the white sauce lol
Haha yeah we ate quite a lot of food in this episode 😆
The white sauce is the garlic sauce, so good!!
waw kebabnya mantep, pertama liat $, kedua liat size hahha
Iya mantep bgt kan! Porsi banyak, harga sesuai standard 👍🏻
Man gotta be long when you did all the subtitles lol crazy
Hahaha not too bad sih this time.

Hi Nick 👋
It’s actually sambar as we mentioned in the video, it’s on the menu as well 😁
Thanks so much for watching ❤️
The halal noodle soup was my fav!
Very comforting and delicious 🤤
If you don't know where do you start, usually i start from the sweet one, or from drink. hahaha
Haha boleh juga, cobain minum/dessertnya dulu ya mestinya
indian food outlet in melb, the meat portion always, very "modest" ..
the "mm" comes from an indian movie reference but I can't remember the story behind it 😅
Ahh thats' very interesting! Would love to know the story behind it :D
hahaha that masala dosa is so long it almost goes to the next table 😂😂
Hahah that’s right! I think we need to bring more people to help us finish it next time 😆
