This album is gonna be nutty. Great message. Man invents technologies to solve problems in his environment, technology improves the mans life but some of it creates more problems to solve, these problems are often solved by more or better technology that comes with its own problems. Its neither totally good or totally bad, but either way there is no stopping its progression now that its been unleashed. I wonder, how much does technology effect natural selection and evolution. The kinds of problems our ancestors faced in the times before the adoption of technology were solved by evolution and natural selection. But so many of our problems these days are solved by inventing technologies to counter them. How can selection be considered natural if technology is standing in the way of death so often?
The default answer is we are, ourselves, nature so whatever we do is, too, even if it’s fucked up and stupid… but I totally get what you’re saying and often think the same.
lmao, sometimes I listen to Aes and I just dig way too deep. This is probably my 5th listen of this track and the whole time I was like "if it's out of the bag, it's out of the bag, now that's a powerful cat" what could this mean? Then you hit me with the "the cats out of the bag"... no shit, so obvious and somehow just flew right over my head
Yeah, I think the cat being out of the bag refers to the idea that you can't put lightning back in a bottle. Once we progress technology in a certain way, there's no going back...we have to live in this world we've created.
@@jamesoblivion yup, that's how I interpreted it too... "now that is a powerful cat," we've realized that the potential of technology is fucking terrifying
Recall the man on the operating table? Did you notice how he was missing part of an arm and a leg? Which is the visual playing on the phrase to “cost one an arm and a leg.” Also when he spells technology at the end of the last verse I like how O-G-Y completes the spelling and seamlessly ties into being the beginning of its own sentence “Oh Gee, -Why it’s the ultimate!” sorry if I feel as though I’m reaching with the bit but still Aes is dope I’m NEVER disappointed with him
The whole album slaps so hard. Been listening on repeat at work
