I'm a woodworker in Brazil, and basically all the furniture here is MDF. Those machines are time and money savers for cabinet making with MDF or plywood. Great review
Money maker to say the least. I've been ables to start offering euro style frameless cabinetry thanks to these machines. They are easy to set up, operate, and don't take up too much space. LOVE THEM BOTH!
Wow! I was a fan of the iron-on veneer but this is definitely the way to go for production! I'm a huge fan of oak veneer plywood. This sure beats getting thrown in the doghouse in years-gone-by when I borrowed my wife's iron and got glue on it! Finally got my own iron for the woodshop.
hello, I have a virutex 250 on the table and it works well with a little intense work, which I liked in your machine is the fact that distributed the glue before and separament of the tape, which gives the time to react and avoid wasting the tape, good presentation; good continuation
These are awesome machines, but here in France only particle board is readily available. I have used the edge bander in a professional shop and agree, if you are running hundreds of feet of board they are economic, but recently i made new kitchen doors for a mobile home, which had to have custom size doors cut. The difficulty for me is using the table saw without edge chipping, and I resorted to cutting the doors 6mm oversize and then routing to size with a panel router bit. Cutting cabinetry for boats, I used to finish all out of sight panel edges eith varnish to keep the damp from the edge of the panels that are left raw. I probably could not buy an edge bander, although in a shop setting, but I would make a jig to trim the edges as it is very time consuming hand trimming the edging.
Thank you so much for showing us these machines in use. You are right it does help us understand and conceptualize what we might be able to do with them and how they might be valuable to us in our daily workflow. Thanks again from Hobbs/Oil Center, New Mexico!
hi there great video when i was cabinet making here in ireland a job i had to give up due to severe arthritis in my spine i had the edgebander and trimmer combined which made my job so much easier and faster i needed this type of machine as i was a self employed kitche maker and as you know in ireland we use mdf or chipboard sheets and cut them down to make our cabinets although even since i gave up the business things are changing and more and more are using pre edged panels and cutting them as required but i know these combi machines are expensive and i can see how the two seperate machines would be less to purchase but add great ease of work for the woodworker
Very cool these are going to be awesome for the small businesses. You get a industrial type machine that’s fits a specialized or cabinet shops. Great information. Take care
Wow, these machines are really amazing. I can see the potential for commercial/industrial production of cabinets and the like. Thanks for the introduction, Colin : )
I have this tool. Its nice although I had a little trouble dialing it in for the material I was using. I was using a 3/4 veneered ply with the core being 2 different materials. The middle was actual wood/plywood and right under the veneers on both sides was mdf which did not stick quite as consistent as the middle. I adjusted the temp and flow rate of the glue and it seemed better, but any advice? Thanks
What a bonus for you, mate. Good score👍 Couldn't have gone to a more worthy recipient👌 Great review. Can you take the boards straight to the trimmer, or do you have to wait a few minutes for the glue to dry?
Can you please provide a link for the white edgebanding. I can only find edgebanding that is pre-glued, which is not what you are showing in the video. Thanks in advance!
Look like good tools for production or someone doing lots of shelves or cabinets, and they look to have some features that would come in handy, but they are way too big for most home shops.
At those prices, I can't see an everyday home woodworker buying one - Only production plants could manage a return on an investment that large. Of course that's only MY opinion. In fact I have yet to see a You Tuber who might have a use for them. BUT that said, they are a great product that do what they were designed to do.

What about clean up of the edge-band machine? do you need to clean the glue roller if you dont use it everyday? Or does it just remelt
Those are some really neat tools! Sure beats the heck out of the iron-on stuff that you apply by hand.
Does it ever! Thanks for watching.
Thank you for making this machine clear to me

Can you take the boards straight to the trimmer, or do you have to wait a few minutes for the glue to dry?
Bill Carroll you can go directly to the trimmer, no waiting at all!!!
@@Tenshi_Sora thanks, mate 👍
As Rodrigo said, you can go straight to the trimmer ... but I would wait a bit just to make sure it sets. Thanks for watching!
Onde posso envontrar Essa maquina em Portugal

Thanks for watching!
hello my master, what are the prices of the banding machine, is there a shipment to turkey, I wonder if you can give me information.
I can see there may be a problem with buildup on the glue roller. How often, and how is it cleaned?
Nice machine
Can you please provide a link for the white edgebanding. I can only find edgebanding that is pre-glued, which is not what you are showing in the video. Thanks in advance!
Awesome edge banding solution for small cabinet shop!!
Agreed ... Thanks for watching!
Very nice Colin. I was wondering, do you have to clean the glue off the roller/applicator after you are done using the machine?
Look like good tools for production or someone doing lots of shelves or cabinets, and they look to have some features that would come in handy, but they are way too big for most home shops.
Yes, these are more for someone looking to start a small business. Thanks for watching.
Awesome machines
Yes, they are. Thanks for watching!
Wow those are awesome. One question, how easy is it to clean the glue mechanism?
JJ T the glue drips back into the glue pot so you really don’t need to clean it at all.
As Rodrigo mentioned, It just drips back, so there shouldn't be much need to clean it. Thanks for watching!

They would actually be affordable for any woodworker wanting to start a home-based business making Cabinets or Furniture. Thanks for watching.
