  • This video displays my way of looking at VE (Volumetric Efficiency) in a Gen 3 GM ECM. I explain the relation of VE to torque and how changing the camshaft will change the VE Table.

    Currently tuning Speed Density and was freaking out when I started seeing numbers go over 100 on the table, I’ve got an 05 Chevy 1500 with a truck Norris cam and 8.1l injectors just trying to dial it in

      The video would basically be the same. The SS2 would just have lower VE down low and would have higher VE at higher RPM.

      That's what I need... I'm afraid to change anything until I learn the how and why.
      So far I've gotten comfortable with changing shift points, recalibrating my speedometer after a gear swap, and now I "think" I have my efans sorted out to work properly when the AC is turned on.
      Baby steps...

      You will need larger injectors though if it has the stock truck injectors.

      @@Matt_Sanford my engine has the 42 lbs injectors from a 8.1l marine engine. I wanted to keep the same injector plug with no adapters.

    Probably the reason your math on HP didn't match is because the peak numbers provided on the dyno graph weren't at the same RPM but on your ve table you use the same RPM
