This was one on the most informative videos about this bike on the internet. It answered a lot if not all of my questions about the exhaust. Very good work. Just waiting on the SC Projects GP70R full exhaust to be back in stock so i can purchase.
I can say from personal experience that the material and craftsmanship of Arrow compared to Akrapovic are virtually equal with each other! Akrapovic might have a little higher price than Arrow but the materials used and master welders building these exhaust can virtually switch jobs and you couldn't tell who built what exhaust from each company unless they told you! The only differences I've seen out of eight bikes were the two shorty exhaust (one Akra gp and Arrow low shorty) made 1 to 2 hp less at peak power compared to the Akra Evo and Arrow Competition Evo! What I'm getting at is they are so dagum close that you need to solely pick which one you think looks the best to you because both are equal when it comes to performance and craftsmanship!
For those that want sweeeeeeet sound but not obnoxious…… go with the SC Project SC1-R. It’s quieter than the shorty/GP and Manny should be able to hook it up.
Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, an aftermarket product added to your vehicle can not automatically void your warranty. The onus is on the manufacturer to prove without a reasonable doubt that the aftermarket item you installed on your vehicle directly caused the malfunction which you are trying to warranty.
Unless you are brand new to bikes and modding, I would hope you would have heard of Arrow. In the past Moto GP teams and WSBK teams have used Arrow as well. Arrow Italian made, Akra made in Slovenia
There is way better options other than the main competitors (as mentioned). Black widow exhaust makes a great exhaust for the S1000rr for almost 75% less than what the main 2 offer. Do some more research fam and weigh your options

As mentioned on the video, we curate what we sell. We like to see proven track record when it comes to performance. There is a reason why MotoGP field only uses the expertise of a few companies.
Personally, i would not run a sprint filter, as the filtration isn't good enough. I run a bmc filter (non-race) as filtration is at oem level, and bmc is an oe part on some platforms, eg e46 csl.
Sprint Filter inherently has better filtration given the fact that they are polymer filters, and not sponge / paper. If you understand the construction you would not opt for anything else. Just a quick question about the ecu flash, do we Europeans will benefit the same from it as our USA/Canadian friends? I've seen a lot of info saying that EU BMW's are less limited hence not so big advantage of getting the ecu flashed?
Great video, do you know if a BT moto flash would be beneficial to a uk bike when the ecu hasn’t got the same restrictions as a US bike?
Yes, of course. It still has restrictions, just not as much.
Hey Mani, I'd there any huge hp difference between using a short gp type slip on or a full can like the oem slip on running a ackra or arrow headers?
No real proven difference. All within 1-2hp of each other. Arrow headers in Titanium are lighter than the Akra headers in Titanium.
Great video👍. Just an input, Look at the Brazilian Mexx exhaust for BMWS1000RR.
Pretty sure you answered in the video but will the Akra mid length slip on fit the arrow stainless headers?
In Europe akra only offer one type of carbon muffler. I'm not sure if it's the long or short one though... It has product code S-B10SO10-ZC.
That is the long one.

Both great ideas, will get on it asap!
