My son goes to GM mechanic college, last week his lead instructor taught the class the mortsky flick. You're now being taught to college kids!!
That's awesome!! So educational!
The flick is going nationwide
@@MortskeRepair 🤣🤣🤣
Heck yeah 👍👍
That's pretty damn cool. Hopefully they have a starter rebuild course next.
Great video as always! Wake every Monday knowing its gonna be a great Mortske Monday! Call Ryan at ICC and make him an offer he can’t refuze! 😂👍👊🙏
He's too cheap
Watching you step on that hood was a case of deep intense body work.....very technical very precise...love it
not everybody can use that level of precision to bend and straighten the sheetmetal
Like a finely tuned machine!
Congratulations! You succeeded in turning a parts car into a legitimate rat rod with your expert body repair skills. I would be proud to drive that rig around - much better than the other '60 from a while back. The only real money I would spend on her is to slam in a three-speed Saginaw and properly install the rear glass. Take it to Puddin for a full-body pressure wash massage - GTG. Funky bar-hopper.
gigggggity!
I find Mondays more tolerable because Duff & Mortske have something good for us!👍
Also that guy in Oklahoma drops one usually.
Man that 63 put it on a shelf, I never sell that car, it's iconic. The 60 love it too.
Mortske Monday!! You make Monday way more agreeable. Thank you.
Much appreciated
Love these old Chevy revivals... my first car was a '59 Bel Air with the 235 "Blue Flame" six and Powerglide, because nothing says performance like that particular combo in a four door sedan! As my Dad used to say, "it doesn't have enough power to pull a greasy string out of a cat's a$$"! It was blue with white side moldings ("spears"), and I didn't have to worry about losing them because Dad and I put them on with sheet metal screws. The first time I changed my own oil I slid under the car and took out the first drain plug I saw... yep, I drained all of the transmission fluid! Turns out that the Powerglide was one of the few automatic transmissions with a drain plug. Dad teased me about that for years. I didn't learn any lessons but the hard way... Dad said that it built character. I've got character to spare now... Love the channel, love the Duff dog... keep doing what you do best... I'll keep watching!
Braxton Nelson . Stealing the greasy string comment get shure
It always promises to be a good episode when Duff Dog gets all excited about it. I was surprised to see that you apparently had all the glass without any cracks. The glass alone is probablly worth more than what you payed for this gem. Good work!✌
Thanks!
I installed commercial glass for couple years, that was pretty good install.
one tip though, I'd probably pickup a three dollar tube of 100% silicone (because its cheap, sticks to everything and comes off easy) and run a bead on the inside of the window -- say if a gust of air comes in (while being trailered) say through a gaping hole on the floor, that tape might not hold up.
*we could probably calculate the wind force on a certain square footage at 50-60mph but its Monday.
Nice tech tip, or he just needs to double up on the old Gorilla tape for safety sake. Start with the tape going inside the rear doors and close the doors on it so she gets a good bite.
@@davidanderson2393 Yeah that tape is good, almost like leather.
@@davidanderson2393 Just make another hole on the front floorboard, comes in the front and exits the rear hole. Stooges style repair
DAMN! 31:20! You trying to show up The Great Pudinni with a a disappearing act???
Tanya Hardy'ed the hood back straight down, nice save Morty👍!
I love the Pott county body work that you did on the front end of that thing Mortske!! Maybe you and Duff should spend the winter months in Oklahoma!
The Mortske paintless dent repair channel, very nice, you had me going there for a minute if you were about to do a 4 door to 2 door conversion. The fire out the manifold brought back fond memories from the old shop, at least you know which cylinders were firing with the nice gap and no gasket. Must be nice finally having power back again, Duff knows when to take a rain check on a test drive.
I’ve got a buddy doing a 60 4 door flat top to 2 door conversion makes you wonder why they never made them they’re so cool
I need to stay in shape for the supervisor duty says Duff. And we are always enjoying the video as always. Can't ask for better than the 8°F ride.
Dude! I laughed so damn hard when you put the @Watch Wes Work clip in. Like 5 minutes of giggling. Awesome.
Coulda been a bad deal!
Hey Mortske: Good thing we've got your videos to keep us warm on a frigid morning such as this... The '60 Impala sedan flattop was a good choice to resurrect with the small block and decent transmission... Aside from the cooling system, ragged headliner, no working doors outside of the driver's door and the back window needing to be re-installed; its not that terrible of a car... Putting in that back glass took much courage so good job doing that...The Duffalupagus seemed to approve of the rig which is good for the girls that we go out with... From the home of PB Blaster Silicone spray.... Cleveland, Ohio.... Slingshot Engage!!!!!!!!!!!
uhhhhhhhhhhhh try the door locks to see if they are engaged
In my childhood, my dad and uncle both had a 1960 Belaire. My uncle's car died on him and they put the 235 engine into one of our grain trucks, a 1948 Chevy 5500 if I remember correctly. His had a 3 on the tree. My dad's car we did drive a couple years longer, but the fiber timing gear went out, we never figured why when we pulled the engine apart, and it got parked too.
When I was a freshman in high school, 1980-81, dad decided to pull that engine out and get it rebuilt then get the car going for me to drive for school. It had a 2 speed auto. But ultimately it didn't go as good as planned, and he ended up buying me a 62 Ford Fairlane to drive, also a 2 speed. It ran until my sister graduated in 85 then it got parked.
I never really saw any of those cars around after that, being it was the only year of that specific body. 59 had the same body but a different grille. But they are kind of cool old cars.
We also had a 60 Fairlane dad bought from a neighbor. He intended to pull the engine from that car and put it into our 63 F100...that didn't happen either and I had entertained the notion of getting it running again for a driver when I was working on the farm from 92-98....my uncle gave me an 86 Plymouth Fury to drive, so that didn't happen either.
Yea, memories.
You’ve got a sweet heart with a hint of sad rust. Duff is getting good with the hoods.! but Ryan would drive up and that babied beauty off your hands.
Nothin is better than watching a mortske upload during study hall
Thanks for the excellent videos you and duff make my days when I get the bell
Our pleasure
Duff didn't look thrilled as you pulled in/1st look..
As always, thanks for all you do!
Our pleasure
What you need a _Donut Cam_ it’s awesome bringing old cars back to life mighty V8 always lives on!!
Working on it
That is why we subscription holders for the Duff the Supervisor cam, The Mortske click in the school, and best of all he gets it done, everytime.
From the first look over, to the final product it has been a 100% ,welll 75% improvment. Your body work was fantastic, no major tools needed and to have the necessary parts to take it out in the yard, what can a fellow say about that. Priceless.!!! Truly a work of art !! Thanks for the time spent, looking forward to your next one . Stu from Canada................
Can't wait to see I'm in the beginning of the video.
Glad you enjoyed it Stu!
Thank you for another Mortske Monday! You all make a great start to the week,
Thanks!
Used to be MORTSKE FLICK , I love that It is now MORTSKE FLIP love what you are doing and always watching A++++ videos
I've always loved those steering wheel on the 60s. Thanks Mortskee👍
Happy Thanksgiving sir
You should be proud of your work you gave another life to the vintage car my tribute
Thanks!
The only reason to love Monday’s. Duff dog and the guy that thinks he’s the host.
You can definitely start a new trend in body work on cars......with that pry bar.....endless possibilities
Looking forward every Monday for my favorite automotive channel. God bless Mortske repair!
Lord Duff has more love, compassion, and intelligence in his eyes than all three branches of government combined.
Love the Duff; thank God for Mortske!
Don't drag him down like that!
Thank you for your APPRECIATION to your subscribers Mortske
Dancing on the hood puts you right up there with Puddin. Record the trailing arms replacement on the "tow pig" on the second channel, I'll watch. You and Duff are doing a great job....Mojo too👍
I was trying not to dance!
Cool ride.. And nice shout out to your fellow UA-camrs! Always enjoy hanging out in the shop with you and Duff!
Nice to get an easier one for a change. Made my Monday morning! Happy Thanksgiving! Have a great week.
Same to you!
With all of that expert body work going on I thought I was watching Cold War Motors for a second.
Shorter beard!
One of my friends in the mid-sixties had one of these sitting in his yard. It was like new. Well, it was new! But just shiny yard art, and playground for us kids as it had been driven quite convincingly into a tree, right dead center. Beautiful car, Red interior. Gorgeous. And never drove again.
Dang
Impressive improvised face-lift on the front-end of the flat-top. With a little more fiddling on plugs, and or plug wires, and it might run on all eight.
The impala king does it again🔥 so many X frames on your farm!!!
My uncle had a 1960 Impala convertible when he was a young man. When my father was young he would put the top down and drive at dangerous speeds to shorten the time it took him to get to his girlfriends to see her as she lived some distance away. My dad would just hang on for dear life in the back seat. Like many men, he traded the car in for a family hauler when that girlfriend became his wife. And, like many men, he missed it ever since. He even bought a brand new one when the 8th generation came out in 2000. Though I seriously doubt it brought him even a sliver of the joy his original one did. My uncle passed away unexpectedly just a few days ago so this video posting today was nice coincidence. He was a good guy.
Those are great cars! Sorry to hear about your uncle.
1960 Chevrolet Impala Sport Sedan in Ermine White (electric clock was standard in the Impala, but full wheel covers were optional). Red/White interior on this car...but 1960 Impala interiors also available in Black/White, Copper, Green, Blue, Turquoise combinations. 1968 Chevrolet Bel Air 4-door Sedan (no hardtops in Bel Air trim).
That was a great "will it run" video! Love the hood repair! Thanks for sharing! 🙂👍
Thanks for watching!
Hey there boys and girls in the You Tube World--IT'S MORTSKE MONDAY! 😆 Work can wait!
Love Impalas.
The only good part about Mondays, Mortske and Duff!
Ahhh yes a Monday with repairs by Duff a day we all can relish.....and watch that master mechanic dog do his magic on another car
Best will it run on UA-cam by a long way not just a will it run you get a history lesson as well and you can actually see what the cars look like inside underneath your videos are great just love watching them
Glad you like them!
Don't like them I love them just great
Boy did this bring back memories. My Aunt had a 2 Door Hardtop Impala 348 4 Barrel Candy Apple Red she called it. She'd take Mom and myself with 2 brothers to their brothers up thru the Mtns she was a fast driver I remember he stomping the gas on those 2 lane roads to pass farmers those dual pipes with glass packs would make some noise along with that 4 Barrell opened up. I was the oldest and that back seat seemed huge to us kids I was maybe 5 so around 1965 time frame. Mom use to get on her about driving that tank so fast,
Awesome!
Looks like a good engine for Slick-50 on Puddins Fab Shop in his 35 Ford.
One of your most entertaining “will it start?” Almost up there with the Chevy truck hood bending back on you but this is less dangerous 😊 just the greatest channel 👍
Much appreciated Tony!
Its amazing how many of these old heaps still exist in the south. You dont find them in the pacific northwest or hardly see any older cars anymore.
yeah they are crushed or in NE they jusr rusted away
This car here was bought new. She's a jewel. ...and shes blessed too😀❤🙏🇺🇸
That’s some ride Mortske. It’s five years younger than me, but runs about the same as me! Be well buddy.
Happy to finally see a Volkswagen on your channel
I know that it was not yours but it was still on your channel I'm good with baby steps. Lol
Best part about it. Not being mine!
@@MortskeRepair so true 😂😂😂
It sounds more like a plane than a car. Congratulations on the start and drive. Enjoyed the body work and rear window installation. 👍 I would flip it.
Glad you enjoyed it Terry!
It never gets. Old watching duff looking for critters
Loved when Duff Bellied On His Ride 😁😁😁😁💟
Glad that supervisor pup is in control of the joint! 🤔🙂😉
Great content ! I had no idea you were a master glass technician ! Happy Thanksgiving! Take care !
time for a 10si alt swap
@@rsprockets7846 what is a 10si alt swap ?
Great rescue, thanks for making my Monday ( rough start). Love to see you do a VW some time, they are tuff little cars. All the best to you and Duff!
Neither smoke, fire or watery oil stops you! Love the body work!
The tri-fecta!
That rear window install was classic. Gonna have to re name you Mr. Flat topske 🤪
Haha, been called worse!
good job on the body work. I got the feeling you were starting to enjoy seeing how much better you could make the hood and grill, even though this is destined to be a parts car.
For some reason most people are scared of body work and I don't know why. I have yet to meet an autobody guy who impressed me with their intellect. In fact, most autobody guys I've known reek of of alcohol at 10am and look like they slept beside a dumpster in the back alley behind a dive bar because that is exactly what they did the night before. Yet for some reason the average car guy who rebuilts every part of his car including the brakes, wiring, engine and transmission is scared to take a hammer and dolly to pound out a simple dent. Think about it, a hammer is a body man's main tool, how fucking hard can it be???
So true.
Body folks is a special group!
Love your channel man you give me inspiration and ambition to do the same thing and one day I would love to get an old vehicle going !! Do you got anything for sale ?
I second that.. is there on online site with an up kept list of everything for sale??
We've got a FB site with the cars listed
I pulled a 62 ss out of the woods that had been sitting about the same amount of time. It runs and drives great now
awesome!
MORTSKE MONDAY!!!!
Body work by Mortske? That's one way to lose the shop for sure! :) I'm shocked at how easily that car started and ran for you considering the amount of time it has been sitting. Nice find.
Me too!
You really should of check the engine for water before turning the engine over because that crank stirred everything up and that is why there was not much water because it was mixed up in the engine and I'm sure some of that water was sucked up into the oil pump too by turning it over
We never spunk it over before draining it, just by hand
Morning Mortske and Duff! Another good start to the week.
Can't wait till after the old 9 to 5 to watch this one! Ready for a samich! Thanks for the as always great content!!
Thanks for watching!
The smoke was so thick I couldn't see Greta! LOL! "How dare yo---COUGH COUGH!" 🤭🤭😆😆 Another one lives again! Good job Mort!
Haha, she was very unhappy this week!
Everyone has a favorite model year of 50s-60s Chevrolet. 1955 or 1964 would be the #1 for many people.
1960 is mine. Perhaps not the 4 door flat top flavor, but I’d still be proud to own one.
She is making a nice come around! Beautiful.
Kudos to the most honest car guy on the Tube. You show us everything. No lies, no hidden bullshit. Pure automotive honesty. And a Duff to boot. Keep it rolling!
Dang right!
Mortske monday and a impala! Nice video to watch while i'm stuck home due to covid.
Thanks for the upload as always!
That sucks
Happy monday with Mortske and Duff on a new car adventure😎🔥👌
I used to hate Mondays, but your videos got me over that.Cool shuffle dance body work,2 thumbs-up for originality.CARRY ON MORTSKE...
Thanks Ray!
This is one of my favorite Mortske videos. Love the car!!
Glad to hear it
She hit the yellow pole at Wal Mart! Best part of Christine the movie...watching the front end repair itself! Something satisfying about the uncrumpling of it.
OUch
Nice job. I hope someone picks this one up.
Thanks for the show , happy Thanksgiving. Looking forward to family, turkey, and cranberries.
Same to you!
I love watching you do bodywork. When I watch someone like vehcore do body work I know I could never do that. Watching you do bodywork, I start thinking, if I really apply myself...
Takes a lot of dedication
Saving old Chevrolet . I like it. When you first got it going it smoked. But hey. at least it runs and drives. Keep the good work up.
Less than 8 cylinders, probably less than 7. Stuck intake valves or dead cylinders spewing fuel into the flaming exhaust. Living life on the wild side. Lee Harvey you are a mad man.
Good job mortski my eyes are still burning from the smoke. See you next week
It was a good one!
The only good thing about monday is Morstke and Lord Duff uploading a new vid on youtube....i hope your electricity troubles are over...
Back on!
Yes, it's firing! You are the master of the fire!
I could read Duffs face....come on dad....why can't you fix the door for me? And when you had him wait for the hood...such looks of excitement/disappointment haha!
Looks like Mortske will be ordering up some new merch from ol Puddin. Love the backyard body work lol
60 impala was my 2nd car. Never should've gotten rid of her, but i was 17 & knew nothing about changing the transmission. 348 w powerglide. White with red interior. Extremely clean car. I'm 68 now. Still miss that car.
Dang
Mortske! Best body work job I've ever seen! I loved it! Sorry about the sweatshirt...
Sacrifices were made
A sweet 4 door hardtop like my 59 New Yorker. You did well on that hood.
Good video, my pop had one of these dragsters when I was a kid. Had a straight 6, and wooden floorboards to keep the kids from falling through.
Thanks for another great Monday buddy 👍🏼
Our pleasure!
Yay Duff cam ! Way to go Mortske
Monday’s with mort and sir duff
Hey before and after shot would have been really cool of the front end of that car before and after, graduated high school class of 84, great video man dig it.
Yeah, I think of that stuff afterwards!
Seeing that car in the snow made me think of the song Rusty Chevrolet
Bodywork is my fun time work thing, doing the wife 95 firebird right now, she hit a giant mule deer buck on the highway and mangled up the driver's side. Got it bout done body wise. Bud I gotta get er ready for some urethane Fire Mist green urethane base/ clear. So til it's done my OHV repair shop is temporarily shut down unless it's an emergency.
