What I realised is how good it is to hear live music played by real people.
The most underrated rock band ever!!
not by me
Never underrated by any stretch of the imagination.
Yes, they were underrated. Saw them in concert in 73. Ted Turner can play slide guitar in that song, rock and roll widow showcases slide guitar 🎸
What a twin guitars work, what a band, what a unique rock
I love the word 'unique' ! 😍😍😍😍😍
Wishbone Ash: the best rock band ever
The best band of all times ❤❤❤
OMG I love it when Alvin Lee yells “everybody take it” and Andy Powell makes a bee line for front stage with his flying V 😆
Oh my, Alvin Lee and Lesley West on the stage together!,,,, what a treat!,,,,
These guitar tones are so tasty!!! Makes me cry and laugh at the same freaking time!😂
So underatrd
I like Laurie Wisefield personally. Very humble but his guitar speaks in volume,.
The best band ever twin lead sound both guitarists fighting for supremacy the way music should sound and be played….magnifique….
amazing lap steel solo by Ted Turner❤️⚡️
I got to see him live playing that laptop original band awesome
Wow, nie ma Martina Turnera, a tako dobrze śpiewają, bo że grają perfekcyjnie, wiedziałam od zawsze ( odkąd poznałam zespół, jeszcze w latach '70 -tych)
Wishbone Ash is my fave along with Yes. They are classy. Here we have half of Ash. Half Ash.
The British
Allman Brothers.
Fantastic songs.
Fantastic melodic solos.
...r.i.p. Leslie West...the man and the Mountain..!
Talent doesn't age.
Pure Magic. They are so good. Night of the Guitars made me know them, and now they are one of my favs
This is Pure Magik! Wishbone Ash makes Awesome music live and every album from the 70s to now...over 50 years of Greatness!!
This is exactly how I would put it.
Ted Turner - wow
Musical genius and guitar excellence. Awesome band 👍🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The reunion years, 1987- 1991 were fabulous Nouveau calls ,Here to hear, Strange Affair, and Ash live in Chicago '89 were fantastic albums!
Saw them back in `70, ove somewhere in Middlesex ,UK. Orang amps wall to wall, "Wishbone Ash 1 LP ,mine next day was 17 @ the timw, a long strange trip. .But the"Ash were and still are- next lwvel.
I first saw Wishbone Ash in a local town hall on the day that Argus was released, May 5th 1972. I was immediately hooked and saw them many more times. This video shows me that Ted Turner's guitar work which was great already improved with time.
Awesome jam..RIP all the great ones
Wish there was more video of Robin.
Superb- the mix engineer spot on
Haven’t heard this for about 40 yrs (?) ….my younger was a great fan of theirs….. I just absorbed all the Wishbone Ash tracks because at that time he was still doing his A levels & I hadn’t left home for Art College…
Very memorable, the guitar riffs & most of the words…
Quite under rated, going to buy myself a few cds , nice to get re-acquainted ! 😊
Awesome upload ... could roll thru this stuff for hours and hours non stop ... 👍
Saw this whole amazing concert in Edinburgh 1989.
Merci beaucoup pour ce clip Wishbone Ash
Ted and Andy with the late , great Randy California of Spirit doing a wonderful version of All Along The Watchtower! Plus Robbie Kreiger and Steve Howe....
I love them all but I think Ted Turner is the best.
So nice to discover their music in more detail than just “Blowin Free.” Also, that mid rangey Red PRS guitar voice sounds so good on solos! Then Wisefield has an almost Beck-like tone and similar vibrato (as if anyone could come close)…and hadn’t seen Robin Trower in so long….oh wait….that was Steve Howe in there! Don’t have a clue who that dude at the end was…with the bandana on his head.….sorry. These guitars were all “singing” though. Thanks for posting this. Cheers all!
Randy California

I've heard of him yes. And of his brother, "Hotel." 👍✌️
I met Andy Powell in Dublin about 15 years ago having a Guinness in the Village Bar on Wicklow Street
Well, that was fun!
❤
They need to tour Honduras !
merci pour le partage vue en concert en 1978 a lyon super concert groupe magnifique
Só as feras imortais....
Schade, dass Ted und Andy nicht mehr zusammen spielen, schade auch, dass Martin nicht dabei ist...
Saw Laurie when he was in Home
Last time i saw him he was with Tina Turner.
At home😁
This is awesome
I have this dvd ( Night of the Guitars), but Laurie is not included . Perfect Guitar Sound
Laurie is on thev2nd NOTG dvd. He played House is rocking etc. I went to both shows. First Lindon gig was at Hammersmith in 89. 2nd at Town and Country Club 91 and also included Trower, Akkerman, Derringer, Montrose etc
Martin turners band now supreme 🎼
大好きな曲です。
Brilliant, for me the best
If you haven't done so.please learn this
Rock out that flying V
That’s a lot of guitars.
Jedi master's
These guys are pretty good.
You got that right - when they played in San Francisco at Winterland they opened up the show for another well known rock band , or were second I forget . They played the first two songs and people started to notice - then they kicked into The Warrior , and rocked that building hard . The building actually shook and when they finished the crowd ( mostly guys ) erupted with a roar that you hear at a baseball game when someone hits a 3 run homer ! Wishbone Ash rocked San Francisco that night .
SHIT HOT....Drummer and Bass.😅😁🤣♥️
As usual, bloody adverts spoil the experience!
Any information as to when and where this footage of WA was taken would be much appreciated.
All the info you require is available in the video description.
Night of the Guitar was broadcast through Europe in the late 80s. A celebration of guitarists like WISHBONE ASH, Laurie Wisefield , Randy California , Robbie Krieger , Tony Hackett , Jan Ackerman amongst others. All the best.
Spirit would tour as special guests of WISHBONE ASH around this time. There was a lot of media interest in WISHBONE ASH when the mk 1 line up reconvened.
21:32 can anyone list the lead guitar players in order in this clip please? The guy on the white Strat looks like Robim Trower?
That is Robin Trower.
L to R: Robin Trower, Laurie Wisefield, Rick Derringer, Ronnie Montrose. Two Englishmen, two Americans.
Where is Martin Turner ?
Yet another band falls victim to a 'cloth-eared' mixing engineer. When did Wishbone Ash ever become a band that needed the drums at the front of the mix. This is dreadful.
I watched a clip of Martin Turner and his band at the weekend. All you could hear was his bass.
You just can't find a good sound man these days
Ours was great in the first set. The Brown Ale kicked in later, and the pleasure of playing would become a chore.
Drummer does not know the song. Yikes!
