I agree with you on principle that no one can replace him, but this singer does a really good job! I think it's hardest for the singer who has to step in that role, no matter how good they are, because they are being asked, in a way, to step into the role that was filled by a legend. Can you imagine if The Beatles decided to rejoin after John Lennon's death, but had someone else in his place? I love that bands like The Stones and Kiss and Chicago stay together through the decades, but as things happen in life (harsh splits, physical death, etc.), one or more original members are gone and someone stands where they used to be, not replacing them (as you said, no person is replaceable - everyone is unique), and the almost inevitable comparisons are made (like, "yes, he's good, but he's not (fill in the blank - name)... "he doesn't do it like (so and so) did....") So, in a way, it's almost not fair to the new bandmate.

They were a true super group in every sense of the word. The awesome guitar work in the early albums. Cover bands struggle with the skill these guys had particularly vocal ability. True British music royalty for me during ultra competitive times in the 70s
They were a great studio band but having a number of their 70's bootlegs, not surprisingly, they really struggled to replicate that vocal sound live and often came off sounding quite flat in comparison to the albums. I guess they'd have been fine in the modern "live" era with autotune and backing tracks though. :-)

Hard to replace a monumental drummer like Mick but I think Bruce is doing a good job and he's been enjoying himself through the years. You can see that in his playing.
@@Concertsandmore Actually I complained about the sound of the current drum kit not the drummer! It's like the driver is great yet the car is not up to it. Where is Mick's original drum kit, what happened to it, he had the best snare tone along with John Bonham..

The good days when concert tickets were under e tenner !! A. Glad too I lived my youth in those times. I feel sorry for young UN's today
@@stuartloader4672 The Sweet ticket are about 20 to 30 British Pounds...I think that is a good price compared to what other concerts costs.
Thanks for your comment and please subscribe to the channel 🙂🙂
06:00 fanfare for the common man, also brilliant
As good as the album, wow. There is a lot of meat left on the old birds. Fantastic.
Thanka for your comment 😊😊
I saw this tour in Clitheroe and have seen the Sweet since 73 in Blackburn ... this is the best line up for many years
73 I wasn´t even born :D Born only 1984,so I never had the chance to see the original line up live :) I only saw the line up with Pete Lincoln as lead singer,he was very good, however I think Paul Manzi, the current lead singer, is the better choice for the rock songs. I still enjoyed all the concerts I saw with Pete as lead singer and I think he is amazing in his band Frontm3n where he performs songs from the sweet. :) If you subscribe my channel, than you would not miss any future uploads :) All the best :)
I was 14 again last December. Was transported back to 1973, the atmosphere was eclectic.
Totally awesome ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻❤️❤️✌🏻
Totally agree 😊😊
Got see this lineup only a few years ago and had a meet and greet with Andy and the lead singer. Thorough gentlman was Andy. Fantastic concert.
Thank you for sharing this with us 😊 Great to hear those stories 😊
Please subscribe to the channel and share the video 😊 Thank you😊

Totally agree 😊 Paul Manzi is the lead singer and he is amazing 😊😊

Freaking outstanding. I hope I get to see this lineup sometime in 2020.Stay safe everyone. Thanks for the post.
They are really amazing and I´m hoping to see them as well in 2020 again and film some more songs :) If you subscribe my channel, than you would not miss any future uploads :) All the best :)
Sadly We will never see this line-up!
@@metal_mike3083 Why is that ? Who is not going to play anymore?
My Life matters, & I am a human being.
Every life matters 😊
brian connolly was the best sweet singer >RIP
Thanks for your lovely comment 😊
Even if their is only one original member in Sweet , will take it!!! Love this band!!!
I cannot wait to see them again. 😊😊
Je suis très heureux d'entendre un si bon morceau après de nombreuses années. Merci
Merci pour votre commentaire. Content que ça te plaise. 😊😊
I haven't heard this song in years....GREAT!!! I LOVE THE EXTENDED VERSION!
Thanks for your comment.😊 Glad you enjoyed it 😊
I found something in common with Andy Scott and me. I have the same guitar strap. YEAH!!! 😄
Very cool! 😊
@@Concertsandmore 🤣🤣🤣
Don’t get the fanfare for the common man interlude
Still a SHIT HOT song tho
Thanks for your comment. My assumption is that the band is playing it while the leadsinger has a short break, so he can get a drink and rest his voice for a minute or two. On the setlist "Oxygen" gets played when the concert is halfway done.
A tribute to Copland and ELP!!
Bravissimo Andy stai portando avanti la memoria degli SWEET bravo bravo
Si...bravissimo 😊 Please subscribe to the channel 😊
Legend band, awesome SWEET, classic rock 🎸
Totally agree 😊
Wonderful! Thank you for sharing!
Your welcome 😊 Thanks for your comment 😊 Please subscribe 😊
Interesting thing about Andy Scott as a guitarist: unlike others from his era out on tour, Andy's technique and vibrato just keep getting better and better with time. Go Andy!
Andy is still rocking and nearly 71 now. Hope he keeps on rocking, really want to see him live on stage again,so I can upload more videos :) Please feel free to subscribe to the channel,so you will not miss any future uploads :)
He plays the old way without power-chords and the guitar sounds classic sweet
@@henrikcarmel1 Very underrated guitarist/singer, impeccable timing & melodic sense !
G4rew up on desolation boulevard and give us a wink
with the cool album sleeve it would 😉 wink at. me just like a lot of girls. We used to cover set me free and. Sweet was always one I
O
WOW...you covered Sweet songs? Did you played in a band? 😊
Yeah a lot of them check out Dead Cowboyz Stone cold bitch on you tube I'm playing bass but I'm not with that group anymore I'm trying to put something else together
You guys were up there with zep and all the other bands . Great tunes for a lifetime.
Thanks for your comment. 😊 Totally agree with you 😊

Props, but give-up the "look" 😖
Thanks for your comment 😊😊 You want that Andy shaves his head? 😂😂
That was amazing!
Totally agree and it seems live music is starting soon so hopefully new uploads will come soon. Feel free to subscribe please so you do not miss future uploads. ☺
I guess we all got old and fat together. Lol...
Andy lost some weight...a few years ago he had a bit more weight 😊😊
Love the 2nd half tribute to my heros ELP Fanfare for the common man great job fellas Helix used to cover your song back in the day when Brian Volmer could hit that Octave!!!lol ever coming to Toronto please send me a text. A staple in my live very clever lyrics. God bless you surprised still hitting those notes.
Everything in the world on hold. Really hope live music starts again soon, so I can film more videos. Please feel free to subscribe to the channel,so you will not miss future uploads 🙂
The drummer may be a good one but his drum sounds like cardboard comparing the original Mick Tucker drum sound..
I guess you can´t compare Bruce with Mick. :) Bruce is a good drummer and since the early 90´s with the band now.
Hard to replace a monumental drummer like Mick but I think Bruce is doing a good job and he's been enjoying himself through the years. You can see that in his playing.
@@phillarsson8253 same goes for the Lead-Singer! To sayit with sinead o'connor: Nothing compares to Brian!!!!!!! Today is his birthday btw!
@@Concertsandmore Actually I complained about the sound of the current drum kit not the drummer! It's like the driver is great yet the car is not up to it. Where is Mick's original drum kit, what happened to it, he had the best snare tone along with John Bonham..
@@Concertsandmore I got a ticket to your December London gig but I heard it was postponed to next year, I hope I'll be still alive and around to see the living guitar legend first time live! Paul the singer is my good old friend and I haven't seen him for a long time, I'm proud and glad that he's keeping Brains the legends spirit alive. Love and peace.. ✌
Love it
Thanks for your comment. 😊
DAMNED!!!! My old Rockin' Soul has gotten a replenishment!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aaaarghhh, from Sweet to ELP!!! I’m in heaven! Cheers from Rome 🍺
Yes, I really like this version as well :) Please feel free to subscribe to the channel,so you do not miss any future uploads :)

It is not ELP, it is Aaron Copland
Brilliant
Copeland did the original but ELP made it Popular that ABC Sports used it in the US as the opening theme for many Olympic and Championship events.
When this song came on the radio I would stop what I was doing and turn up the volume. It demands attention.
Thanks for sharing it😅 Do you still pump up the volume, when it comes on the radio?
@@Concertsandmore Of course! Thanks for the upload. Happy to share.
I saw Sweet in 1972 at Chorley teachers training college, they rocked the place. I was gobsmacked, they did Born to be Wild and it was brilliant. I saw Steppenwolf in 1970, the BEST rock gig ever, they blew Led Zep out of the scene.
WOW...Sweet covered "Born to be Wild"... I would have loved to hear that 😊😊
Is there any recording of that show
@@AdamLB I have seen online a few video or just audio records from the 70's, however there are not loads. 🙂
Thanks for your comment and please subscribe to our channel 🙂
Just copying poor Brian.
Who do you think is copying Brian? 🙂
Frickin love this song!
It´s amazing the song, only song I personally prefer more is "Ballroom Blitz" :) I hope I see them live again soon,so I can upoad more videos :) Please feel free to subscribe to the channel,so you don´t miss future uploads :)
Brian Connolly was better
Noone can replace Brian, however I think Paul has a good voice and at least it keeps the Sweet songs alive for those(including me as I was born in 1984) who never were able to see Brian.
Please subscribe to our channel 😊
GREAT LEAD SINGER
The new lead singer is really good. :) I really hope to see the band again soon,so I can upload more videos than :) Please feel free to subscribe to my channel,so you don´t miss future uploads :)
Exactly what I thought when I saw them last December.
Drums sound muddy, otherwise exactly like the classic version minus Brian. Brilliant composition.
Thanks for your comment. 😊 Sadly Brian is nearly gone 25 years....unbelievable...in February 2022 it will 25 years...cannot believe it is thatblong ago? 😮😮
So glad to see these guys carrying on... This song brings back my childhood....
Hopefully it only brought back good memories? 😊
@@Concertsandmore the best memories, a different time when real artists performed. Old bands need to kick back in and jamm it again. It's only old to the young. Great to see and hear. Looking for more. Thanks, for then and for now.
They sound great!
Yes,totally agree 😊😊
Keep going Andy ,I have loved Sweet since the funny funny days & always will
Thanks for your comment. 😊 Andy is still rocking and keeping the Sweet spirit alive. They plan to tour the UK in november/december 2021 and I plan to record some more songs than. 😊 If you subscribe than you will not miss future uploads 😊
I love that they went into Emmerson, Lake and Palmer's Fanfare for the Common Man arrangement!
Great to see the boys still rockin
Still rocking hard 😊😊
