This is a great example of expertise speaking for itself. The quality of this production, matches the passion you seem to have for film, which matches a passion you have with this particular movie. You could have 5M subscribers, or 5..and it does NOTHING to change this production’s quality, We know some works seem better for who made them, and some seem worse for who made them. This is the nature of opinions and our deference to them, even the wrong ones, seems to attest that truth. But when we see a creation by someone who’s knowledge matches their passion matches their effort....it’s easy to sit back and take it all in. We can so quickly detect authenticity and passion. We get to silence our noisy minds to shut up long enough to learn something in these moments. If ever there was an argument to do what you love, Loverboy may be a banker, or a chef or a cop in his “real life” , but in these minutes: he’s the world’s foremost Mission Impossible: Fallout scholar. You must love something to truly know it. So do what you love people, that’s where the magic lives.
I was losing my mind trying to figure out what song was playing at 13:00 and FINALLY found out it was Friction by Imagine Dragons. You’re welcome to the one other person wondering.
Bailey, I've been watching your videos for around a year now and this video, so far might just be my favourite of yours. It's just fucking amazing dude. The level of expression and audience connectivity you achieve all whilst talking about something you're clearly in love- there's something so special about that and its unique to those who share a similar love for films! Everything from the the structure your videos to the colour pallets and visuals you use is just fantastic buddy. It angers me that not more people know about your channel haha, because from the amount of effort I can see you put into these videos, you more than deserve it! I really learn a lot from your videos, particularly in building a narrative throughout, and really look to incorporating similar passion into my own videos. Huge inspiration to me Bailey, keep up the great work!
OUTSTANDING! The evolution of the franchise, the thrill of seeing TC do his own stunts...dang it - you’re pure joy! All of the things I love about Fallout. And much more compelling than my usual response: Tom Cruise Running.
I've rewatched this too many times, but the way you speak about this art and it's creators gets me more hyped to rewatch Fallout each time. It's truly awesome!
I love that people are still making Fallout essays and I especially love that you called out the one scene most people seem to ignore and that stood out the most to me in the theater. When Ethan and Ilsa are in the courtyard and the sun is beating down and the highlights are very nearly blown and you feel uncomfortable from how bright it is and then they walk into the shade of the trees and your eyes can relax. It's like a metaphor for how spies are uncomfortable in the open and only comfortable working in the shadows.
Maybe it's why the newest MI boxoffice number have not top fallout. The characters were well introduced & developed in Fallout. The second half of the newest MI seems to become car chase & train crashes, lack team drama. Other than the Venice night scene, the rest of the scenes lack background effects like Fallout and even the first MI, with a film noir mood to it
When this came out I'd just moved to a new city for what turned out to be an awful job. Saw this movie 5 separate times in the cinema (various housemates, a date, work colleagues, and by myself lol). For the 2.5hr runtime it was pure escapism every time. Absolutely engrossed each time
The best part of Lane has always been he's the fallen version of Ethan. He is what Ethan would be if he ever went rogue and both of them know it and resent he each for it.
Bailey brings out such profound energy in these videos that just makes you hyped to give the movie a rewatch, it makes you re think them in a whole different light. Never would I have made that connection how watching Tom Cruise jumping out of planes is like a modern day Buster Keaton, that's genius, and so is this video!
Another video I thought I would just watch for 5 mins and ended up watching the whole thing. And I still want to watch it again with more people. Absolutely Loved this video
So happy you made this video. I watched this film twice in cinemas because I knew this was probably the greatest action film of all time and unlike most action films, all the action had meaning and weight! Your analysis was spot on! Keep making excellent videos like this and I can see this channel becoming the greatest film video essay channel on UA-cam.
And yet another incredible video, Bailey. Dude, your passion for movies, games, etc is absolutely contagious. There were moments in this video I low-key teared up because of how great the movie is, and because I could feel the excitement in your voice throughout. Great stuff, man :)
This video encapsulates everything that amazes me about this movie. You did a perfect job at articulating what works about each aspect of this film and your enthusiasm about sharing it is contagious. I love what you’re doing man!

This video has a 7% like rate as of 1/4/2021. HOW? No but seriously how does this only have a 7% like rate. This is such a good video essay that even after the first 6 minutes I would have liked it. I liked it so much I am gonna share it with a couple of other film nerds. I have never done that before. This video essay perfectly explains Mission Impossible and showed me things I have never seen about this video. Loverboy Media, sub here. But seriously HOW IN THE FREAKING WORLD OF CIMATOGRAPHY DOES THIS ONLY HAVE A 7% LIKE RATE!!!!!
Without comparing the subject matter, this video was umpteen times better than any documentary. The presentation, the editing and the clever voice over were the epitome of aesthetic appeal. I came here for Mission : Impossible Fallout but stayed for Loverboy Media.
Can I just say that this guy himself is a genius? This visual appeal, colour theme and even the font are perfect. Absolutely brilliant video making mate. Love this essay

I had never seen one of your videos but damn right I'm hitting that subscribe button after that. Exceptional. Since its release I've been looking and hoping for a proper video that took this approach to the film; analysing and detailing whilst constantly admiring it because it's undoubtedly one of the best films of the decade. Excellent video Bailey! I’ve been watching your channel since the Prisoner of Azkaban video and whilst it’s hard to pick a favourite this one is probably it. Can’t wait to see what you do next, I have no doubt that you’ll continue to top yourself.
I think this is the best Mission Impossible movie Yet! TC was at his absolute best in this movie, the script, action, cinematography, music all came in together beautifully.
Sometimes the UA-cam algorithm recommends weird stuff. But other times, it recommends something truely special, that makes you fall in love with it immediatly. And that was the case with your videos. So thank you and keep doing your amazing work!!!!
Just wanted to say (like everyone else) that this video is 100% awesome! I've been enjoying your stuff since those early Breaking Banter days and I think that in editing/writing terms, this is by far the best video you've put together - super insightful with a fantastic flow. Loved the interrogation of Ethan's character and discussions of McQuarrie's improvisational storytelling (which I totally had no idea about). Hope you can reach the audience you deserve!

Honestly, MI 4 is still the one that sticks with me the most, but Fallout is a close second. Nonetheless, how often do movies peak after the 6th installment? This movie is absolutely insane to the stunts, action, choreography, score, cinematography, etc... and I absolutely love it as well. Great video man, keep it up!
Ghost Pro might have the worst villain in the series....but IDK there's just something fresh and kinetic and animated about it that makes it my favorite! In fact I tend to think of their failing gadgets as the true enemy! There was this true sense of jeopardy and destitute, that the mission would fall apart at any time!
@@michaelotis223 Exactly, dude. I think MI 3 has the best villain, but there's just something about Ghost Protocol that makes it so unique. It feels like the most fun spy movie out of all them.

We know some works seem better for who made them, and some seem worse for who made them.
If ever there was an argument to do what you love,
Loverboy may be a banker, or a chef or a cop in his “real life” , but in these minutes: he’s the world’s foremost Mission Impossible: Fallout scholar.
You must love something to truly know it.
So do what you love people, that’s where the magic lives.
I don’t understand why your channel isn’t one of the biggest in UA-cam by now. Your video essays are f***ing magic, man. Thank you 🙏
I was losing my mind trying to figure out what song was playing at 13:00 and FINALLY found out it was Friction by Imagine Dragons.
And much more compelling than my usual response: Tom Cruise Running.
a perfect video of one of my favorite movies of all time from one of my favorite creators of all time. beautiful
I've rewatched this too many times, but the way you speak about this art and it's creators gets me more hyped to rewatch Fallout each time. It's truly awesome!
Fallout and Ghost Protocol are the defining moments for this movies
I don't know why this was not nominated in Best Cinematography at the Oscars.
Other than the Venice night scene, the rest of the scenes lack background effects like Fallout and even the first MI, with a film noir mood to it
the enthusiasm in your voice, writing, and the editing made this a video i didn't want to skip through. excellent job!
The badassness of writing as you go is also the technique being used for Money Heist. It's exhilarating!!
A franchise six films in still getting better and better is not rare is iconic
That one of the best movie reviews I've seen on UA-cam. Great job.
The realisation when ll of my favourite movies have Nightclub scenes
This is by far the best review of the M:I movies. This is the recognition Fallout deserves.
This video encapsulates everything that amazes me about this movie. You did a perfect job at articulating what works about each aspect of this film and your enthusiasm about sharing it is contagious. I love what you’re doing man!
You understand this movie like I've never seen from anyone else on youtube. What a fun and engaging and perfect analysis! Your explanation of the HALO jump scene is exactly why I fell in love wth this franchise at that moment but couldn't properly articulate it. Incredible job!
This was freaking epic! As usual so many channels on this dang site are grossly underrated! Keep acing it man!
I'm so hyped for the next MI movie and chanced upon this video... very well said!! I love all the passion and detail that went into this video essay, you verbalized a lot of the amazing things this film and this cast and crew made us all feel
Love your videos since day one. But this one takes it to the next level. Fallout blew my mind in theatres and this essay summed it up beautifully. Nothing deserves more exposure than this channel. Well done mate.
Dude having the opera music from Rogue Nation is such a Good touch at the start!😂 AWSOME bridge between talking about the history of movies and Mission Impossible
I love the Mission Impossible Series. Fallout, Rogue Nation, Ghost Protocol in that order are my favorites. I rewatch them all the time. Your video made me love them even more!
You absolutely hit the nail on the head with every point here, nice work
I am so happy someone else shares this much love for Fallout !! I knew when I came out of the theater that I've witnessed something truly special
Mission:Impossible SIX, FALLOUT is the GREATEST Action Film ever made. Period.
It hurts me that how underrated this channel is
The video perfectly articulates how I feel about this movie and the series, Its a personal love for me since I was younger and none of my friends or family seem to understand how amazing these movies are , like truly understand . I'm so glad someone else appreciates these masterpieces
This is the best video I've seen on UA-cam for months. I'm not usually massively into this style of essay movie video but man, you had me hooked and engaged through the whole run time.
The fact that I clapped my hands out of hype with this video 😂
First essay on the channel I’ve been introduced to and already a huge fan! Mad respect for the amount of production value and attention went into making this video - great flow and totally gripped me - you’ve got an amazing talent for this and can’t wait to check out more! Keep up the amazing work and clear passion for filmmaking!
Hahaha thank you!! But I'll take a 7% like rate; I've had worse 😉
I just rewatched this, and God, it so speaks my mind out! I share with you everything you love about Fallout. This video deserves a Million views.
Without comparing the subject matter, this video was umpteen times better than any documentary. The presentation, the editing and the clever voice over were the epitome of aesthetic appeal.
I came here for Mission : Impossible Fallout but stayed for Loverboy Media.
I love tom cruise's and the director's dedication and commitment to this franchise. This is the reason this film and the entire franchise succeeds.
Can I just say that this guy himself is a genius? This visual appeal, colour theme and even the font are perfect. Absolutely brilliant video making mate. Love this essay
thank you so much!!
Fallout is one of my favorite action movies of recent memory, and might honestly be my favorite Mission Impossible movie. It's *so* good.
And yes, the weird mustache removal in JL was absolutely worth it.
I had never seen one of your videos but damn right I'm hitting that subscribe button after that. Exceptional. Since its release I've been looking and hoping for a proper video that took this approach to the film; analysing and detailing whilst constantly admiring it because it's undoubtedly one of the best films of the decade. (Jesus I have watched it wayyy too many times). But seriously, I hope you see this comment and know that I genuinely thank you for sharing a fantastic video which has massively improved my day.
This video made me love Fallout even more...and I didn't think that was possible because I loved the heck out of it after watching it twice..
One of the best video essays I've seen. Your channel should be way way more popular wtf
The time and passion that went into this is incredible, banger video
Just discovered your channel and I’m blown away! (Token here before a million views comment)
But I’m so glad this movie is getting so much love. It’s a masterpiece and I love it. (Also Tom Cruise may be an odd, possibly problematic guy, but damn does he know how to make an enthralling film and I’ll always love him for that)
Loved this mate. Your enthusiasm keeps me hooked and (given that I watch a shit tonne of film essays) I always learn new things with your work. So hats off to your hard work on research 🎉❤
Excellent video Bailey! I’ve been watching your channel since the Prisoner of Azkaban video and whilst it’s hard to pick a favourite this one is probably it. From the moment the aspect ratio changed at the start I knew this was going to be something special, your craft and passion takes the ‘UA-cam video’ to another level. Can’t wait to see what you do next, I have no doubt that you’ll continue to top yourself.
Amazing video!! Mission impossible is one of my absolute favorite franchises, and you certainly did this series justice!
So thank you and keep doing your amazing work!!!!
everything about this breakdown perfectly describes what made TOP GUN MAVERICK so successful.
This... this is everything we ever needed in video form
5:12 love the representation for one of my favorite Beatles songs
I'd never heard the song before this and it's absolute bliss
@@LoverboyMedia Dude that whole album is just so good. Easily my favorite Beatles album and just one of my all time favorites
Love the pfp
What’s the name of that song?
@@BK-tb6cr it's called Julia. It pairs really well with "I Will" which comes right before it on the Beatles White Album
Glad to see more people recognizing the Fallout greatness! You've been putting out bangers and topping yourself with every video. For that, you've become one of my favorite creators. Can't wait to see what phase 2 brings!
The best action movie of the decade, bar none.
Keep up the exceptional work Bailey, your pumping out some of the best video essays that deserve more attention.
I absolutely love this video! Your passion is infectious. Fallout is one of my favorites too and you do a wonderful job analyzing what makes the film and series so special. Looking forward to your upcoming videos!
Dude, great job!! Loved the video & awesome to see someone else appreciate M:I Fallout as much as I do. I met Director Chris McQ at the only IMAX 3D Premiere of M:I F here in LA. Suuuper cool guy. Genuine, gutsy, humble, brilliant. I have a lot of respect for him!
Nicely done. This movie deserves all the praise for its splendid execution and effort
Rogue Nation might be the best MI film for me
Ghost Pro might have the worst villain in the series....but IDK there's just something fresh and kinetic and animated about it that makes it my favorite!
Man if this is supposed to be the finale to Loverboy season 1, then you really went out with a banger Bailey! Just like Chris McQuarrie and Tom Cruise, you truly took the saying “go hard or go home” to heart and did whatever it took to make the perfect Loverboy video! Can’t wait to see what you have planned for season 2 and will always look forward to experiencing the fallout of all your good intentions!
It might objectively be the best movie I’ve ever seen
22:10 Monitor labeled 'Some skilled dude' showing some skilled dude on the outside of a helicopter. while some other skilled dude watches.
This IS Quality !!!! Bravo Bailey you absolute legend.
Brilliant analysis and deep dive of my favorite franchise. Thanks a lot for doing this. Very well done! Loved it. Truly appreciate the amazing effort.
That opera scene was a thing of beauty. It shows that Ethan might not be the strongest fighter, but he uses his head to get the upper hand
This Video is absolutely crazy. I got to say this has to be one of the best video essays ever!
Wow Bailey. This was an awesome video essay that doubles up as tribute to this film and the franchise. Great editing. Great Narrating. Simply great. This film is a hallmark in the industry and your work is truly a masterpiece to prove it. Thanks so much for sharing it =).
