Cant believe THIS is the only full solo concert (non festival) of QOTSA in the Songs For The Deaf era on you tube...we need more!!!
Yeah seriously, we NEED more of these from this era
I know they've got em recorded;
Let's see it!
Perfect set. Nick never sounded better. Love seeing Troy's Bad Cat amplifier logo lit up and burning all night. Choicy gear!
I recently saw a photo of Josh using his burgundy Maton MS503 in the same concert - could the band have done "The Sky is Fallin'"?
Perfect setlist, perfect lineup. A Gold era.
Cannot believe how flawless these guys are live. Seriously, in every video I've seen they are just about perfect on performance. Inspiration at it's best. You can tell these dudes have practiced and practiced HARD.
Thank you for this
I love the current lineup of the band and Theodore is a great drummer but GOD DAMN watching Joey Castillo beat the shit out of these songs makes me miss him so much. I'd love if there were a full drum-cam video of him - I'm blown away by his playing.
Joey was great for the era of QOTSA he was apart of but I also would have to say personally that the current iteration of the band is the most refined and tight of any of the past QOTSA lineups. Theodore is the best drummer (technically speaking that is) that has been on the kit for them and Michael Shuman on bass just solidifies the current rhythm section as the best so-far. Both are extremely versatile and Josh has put more emphasis on the bass when mixing songs for the last two albums to great effect.
I used to not like him but now in his absence I realize how amazing he was. Theodore is fine and precise and tight but Joey has character and force. He made them sound way better live and on the record.
@@duhlike I still remember watching a live concert video and seeing him playing what I always thought of as a particularly difficult part of a song and right at that moment, I see Castillo blowing a giant bubble with the gum he was choosing which made me laugh like a lunatic.
@@Zappappappappa Yep I think both drum/bass combos are quite perfect for each era of this band
Bio sam na ovom koncertu!!!!
I don't even know where Ljubljana is but I sure wish I'd been there to see this hot ass performance in 2003!
capitol city of Slovenja, former member of the of yugoslavia, east side of north italy, or just google map it
Amazing concert. Awesome atmosphere.
You would know sounds devastating

It was all downhill after this when Nick left (was fired) 😔
Who was dumb enough to dislike this video?
raMIL MAGOMEDOV man I’ll tell u who... either it’s just someone who thinks it’s neat to have chance to be just the only 1 who’ll have a dislike ... or someone who just don’t like em at all... or door #3 where yes, they’re a QOTSA fan BUT..... only of the newer material from ...Like Clockwise LP & on from there. A ‘Johnny Come Lately’ kind of fan when they reached that milestone (...I guess you’d call it that perhaps) of any/all rock fans everywhere then finally knowing of and/or beginning to like em from ‘13 and on. Cant tell ya the amount of different ones I’ve come across on here or elsewhere who say & are exactly that. Bcos they’re ones who didn’t know/aware of em where they were more of a dirty metal sound during that time period. I mean, what a shame to be one of those!
48:57-49:21 Nick forgot the screams during Deaf's third verse. And also from 46:55-47:08, Troy forgot the guitar part before the second verse.
i think it was a decision rather then a mistake, bands often simplify some parts of the songs
@@konstantincvetanovic5357 I know.
49:26 I very much like to know why there is a photograph of Brian Wilson (Beach Boys Genius) in a box of the stage. I have already seen in other stages of other artists the photo. Is it a homage due to your illness? This show is one of QOTSA's best performances.
The photo was on one of Nick's cabinets (previously Josh's).
wilson was a bass player, so is nick. also probably some cruel dark humor there. he didn’t age well. did drugs until he was mentally ill.
Fucking cool
The real deal is really the only easy thing to understand
Бодрее были тогда.
lol they were stoned af, business as usual. You can hear it by the sloppy musicanship a few times, had a good laugh on the false start in the beginning of a song for the deaf . Still an incredible live performance from a band at its peak, and I guess it's my favorite live from them. Used to play it to death in my teens, must have found it on emule on something
Forgot to mention the perfect setlist
or something* lol
Imagine the chance I have. It's 2024 and it's my first listen to this magic performance 😂❤
Lanegan should have always sung Auto Pilot. Nick's songs weren't the best nor did he have a voice to carry something that mellow, this rendition is fire though.
