Hey Malcom! Glad I found your channel. I'm new to photography and am considering purchasing an a7rii as my first camera. I tend to prefer landscapes and some macro, but still want to be able to get portraits of my family. Also considering venturing into real estate photography. Would you recommend the a7rii for that? Or do you have any other suggestions? Thanks for what you do!
Hey Jeremy, the A7Rii is great for all of those things. My only other recommendation (based on value alone) would be the A7iii. While the resolution is great, and I think the A7Rii has a better shutter, maybe better internals, the A7iii is about the same value. You will get far better auto focus and the better battery. That being said, when it came time to sell one, I sold my A7iii because I still preferred my Rii for photos.

I just bought a a7r2 today with good quality, about $780. And only the 10000 shutter function is normal. I plan to practice landscape photography.
You will enjoy it very much. It’s a terrific landscape camera
