      Hi will the custom patches for mighty space work on mighty 8 mk2 or mighty 20 mk2?

    Hi Man, i'm italian like you but i'll try to write in english (my ultra-crap english) so your answer can reach a much larger audience.
    First of all let me say that your videos about the Mighty Plug PRO are the clearest and complete of the whole YT! Really... a 10.000watt light in the night! So... tnx about that! 😉
    So... my question: I had my Mighty Plug PRO only a few days ago and the i love the idea of changing preset via a BT pedalboard and/or using an expression pedal let say for the wha fx or whatever parameter and I know that you use the M-VAVE and the relate app for that!
    But i own the Spark40 amp from Positive Grid too and his best ("plug-n'-play" and assle-free!) BT pedalboard is the Spark Control.
    So, do you know if can I use the Spark Control instead the M-VAVE and if the Spark Control will works with the app to set the parameter (both in on-off switch mode and CC mode)?
    Tnx in advance!

      My dear friend, thank-you first for doing the extra effort of writing in english, so other members of the community can take advantage of your questions, mush appreciated. Secondly, thank-you very much for your compliments, they are probably the warmest I received in my whole life :). About your question: I do not have the spark pedal but as far as I know it is an airborne customized to control the Spark plug&play. I would suggest you to pair the pedal to your smartphone bluetooth (keep the Spark turned off or I fear it will pair immediately with it) and if it is visible you have great chances. If it is so you can turn on Mightier Amp and try configuring it as I did with Chocolate in GUITAR 4. Including disconnecting it from regular bluetooth if it does not show up in Mightier Amp. I am positive it could work. Please let me know.

      @@TutoJam Tnx for your fast reply Man... definitively you are on the "good and friendly ppl" side of the World! 😃
      Yep you are right... I did some more research and seems that the Spark Control is strictly a "poit-to-point" hardware controlle with the Spark app. Furthermore, the Spark does not have an expression pedal input but only the switches
      So I'll go the way you suggested.
      BTW I noticed that the MigthierAmp has the WHA Fx (so an expression pedal is a great tool for it) while the MightyAmp not. 🙄 Strange and annoying thing and WHY that lack of this important guitar fx in the MigthyAmp app????

    • @TutoJam
      @TutoJam  8 місяців тому +1

      Well, sorry to cool down your enthusiasm. The effect you have seen in Mightier Amp should be touch wah which is not exactly a wha to be controlled with a pedal and also it is available in Mighty Air and plug 2 but not for the pro. That is why you cannot see it on the Mighty Air. I agree with you that missing a wha is a pity but you have good options to obtain a similar effect if you link the pedal to bass control of the amp or of the eq, in the end a crybaby is just a high pass filter. If you believe I could add in the list a tutorial for this but also keep in mind this commands are sent with a perceivable delay, not the best for a wah pedal...

    • @Guttalaser
      @Guttalaser 8 місяців тому +1

      @@TutoJam Ok gotchya Man.
      Maybe if needed a real wha can be insert in the chain (guitar->jack cable->wha in>-and the Mighty Pro in the wha out).
      So basically the expression pedal you add to the M-VIVE pedalboard is used to control the swell of other parametres like gain or volume on amps , drive for drive/distortion pedal, detph or rate in modulation fxs, wet/mix of delays and reverbs and so on... am I correct?!?

    • @TutoJam
      @TutoJam  8 місяців тому +1

      @Guttalaser You got it perfectly. The main use in my case is changing gain but I am not using it so much, changing preset is easier. The best use would be for sure the wah but as we said it is not present. By the way it comes to my mind that if Tuntori made it possible to control 2/3 different parameters with a single control we could use it to create a band pass filter on the eq or even in the cab ir and obtain something similar to a wah. I will try asking in github.

    I really need that next video.. lol I am using a Choptones package, importing the rig and IR into the editor software is easy, from that point I want to add that preset to the mightier amp app preset so I can recall it at any time. I play in a wide variety of styles depending who I am playing with so when I connect to the mightier amp app during a session, I will need to pull up tones for the beatles, then kiss, then steely dan, then van halen, you get the idea, so I need to put all of those from the editor into the mightier app preset section, and that's what I'm finding difficult, no wait, impossible, to achieve. Sorry so long of a post but I'm days trying different ways and can get no good result.. Thank you.

      @@TutoJam If you have a moment to just answer a question whenever you get a chance. I have scoured the internet but could find no answer to my question. I realize you can add as many presets as you like to mightier app, but are you not limited by the number if IR's you can save to match those presets? For instance, I have a package that has 20 different tones, adding those IR's leaves no room for anything else. I cannot see a way to call IRs from a saved folder on the device, as with the editor on PC. Am I understanding this to be the case whereby you can load unlimited presets, but a limited number of matching IRs?? This is what has me confused.. Thank you.

    • @TutoJam
      @TutoJam  7 місяців тому +1

      @throughmyeyes... My dear friend. You got it completely correct. As many presets as you like but a maximum of 20 user IRs. And no, you cannot load then from you smartphone (at least at the moment). It is necessary to make a choice, your presets can only use the IRs already loaded. I don't know a single professional who uses more than 3-4 IRs, maybe they tried 5000 to find the right one but could after making their choice... If course I do not know your specific needs but I hope you can find an acceptable selection

    Hey, I’m a beginner/intermediate youtube lessons couch guitarist.
    I just bought this amp and is SO disappointed. So many of the presets I’m making sounds very muffled, like a big fat blanket has been laid over the amp.
    I can’t make a clear aggressive metalsound. Is it just like that with small amps like this or can those choptones IRs help?

      Sorry, don't think so. They will only work on the mighty plug pro. If you want you can try using Mightier Amp to import the patches you want to reuse, check how they are composed and try and replicate same settings for the device you want. Not straightforward but it works (it was I do regularly)

      @A1exBo the dsps are similar but not identical and compatibility at firmware level is a manufacturer decision. If you look at the full list of effects of each device you will find similarities but also many differences. Best option is recreating the tones manually

      With the samples now it is clear. Referring to the second sample I had the same issue, in my case it was due to bad separation between the line coming from mic and that going to earplugs, in normal smartphone earplugs they are in the same cable. In simple words any sound or noise coming to hears was collected by mic and looped again and again making that Larsen noise. I replaced my headphones and all ok, at least with my sample

    I'm new to the MP3, used it for the first time yesterday. Almost bought a Katana Go but they're unavailable so I went with NUX. Not disappointed. I've owned Katanas and the Thrill Disappeared, so to speak. 😊
    Anyway, like everyone, been researching and watching UA-cam videos for a while. Learning what I can. Your tutorials are awesome. I am amazed at the time and effort you have put into this. Thank you very much.
    I wanted to ask about these Chop Tone packages. Ive been to their site and looked through their offerings. I will give them a try, out of curiosity if nothing else, but there are a couple things i don't understand. In some of their packages they also have a list of stomp boxes or EFX included. And in their Metal Black (Metallica Black album) package they even speak of using an expression pedal as a Wah pedal. Do you know how this works? Maybe I'm misunderstanding and there are different patches using different EFX, I don't know. Thanks

      Thank you very much for your compliments. To answer your question: Choptones is making a lot of patches and IRs, for many different devices and also generic ones to be used with DAWs or multipurpose modelers. As you already understood the MP PRO is somehow limited, for example you cannot use a wah pedal with it. My suggestion, to avoid disappointment, is use only the packages dedicated to it. But if you are specifically interested in the content of a package I would suggest you to write them, as per my experience their replies are quick and useful

      @@TutoJam@TutoJam the packs I mentioned are for the MP3 and Mighty Space. After looking them over again I believe the list of pedals they give are what they used in the signal chain for making the IRs. One example is their Gas Mol Amp Pack. It's a total of 25 patches. They list 7 cabinets, 6 mics and 14 different stomps. They're attempting to emulate a Diezel D-Mol EL34 amp. I didn't understand what they were doing before but now I realize they were listing all the equipment they used in different combinations to make the patches.
      I still don't understand the reference to an expression pedal for a wah effect in the Metallica pack though. It is an MP3/Space pack. Maybe they also offer this pack for other hardware and the description just got carried over to this example. I may contact them to ask. Thanks for the suggestion.
      I have another question if you have the time. If not I certainly understand. Somehow, all of my original factory presets have changed. I don't remember all of them but #1 was Jazz Clean with matching cab, #6 was a Super Reverb with the matching 410 cab. Now they're all different. I updated the firmware yesterday and that went fine. I got the 2 extra IRs and the Chop Tone logo but the presets didn't change. Today, after watching this video I loaded an IR that Leon Todd had made and one preset that Jimmy Linn made. It was a single IR and a single patch. Now all the presets are different. I've tried resetting with all 3 different apps and even updated the firmware again but it's still the same. Now the #1 preset is a Fireman HBE and #6 is an AGL. Is there any way of getting back those original patches? I should have made copies and saved them but wasn't sure how at the time.
      I'm joining the FB group so I'll probably see you there. Thanks, Tony

    • @TutoJam
      @TutoJam  5 місяців тому

      @tonya4157 hi my friend. Too bad factory presets and IRs are linked to the firmware. It seems to me the version of the firmware you uploaded is different from the original one you had. If you did not backup there are little hopes to reconnect them. You could try restoring the old firmware (in the Facebook group they were shared by somebody), expert and save everything and then reinstall the new firmware and reimport. But it is a risky approach (firmware update is always dangerous) and it could even be for nothing as they will probably be not compatible. If you look around you will find patches for mighty pro 1.0 and 2.0 and generally they are not compatible forward it backward

      @TutoJam just a quick note. I bought a pack from CT and couldn't be more disappointed. I went with the D Moll package that has 25 patches and IRs. Some of the IRs sound ok but the patches aren't much. Almost every single one uses a cranked Tube Screamer and the amp parameters vary by a point or two. I had to try it out but they won't get any more of my money. Rock on and enjoy that new Katana.
