- I just received my new MP Plug Pro and this is the video of firmware update.
This is valid also for other NUX devices like Mighty Air, Mighty Plug MP-2, etc...
!!!WARNING!!!: this activity is risky and could damage your device, I will not take any responsibility if you would break your device following this tutorial!!!
It is also a, generally speaking, not reversible change to your device.
NOTE: the method to start the device in upgrade mode can be different for other devices (ex: Mighty Air requires to keep pressed the tap tempo button at start) please refer to guides in the manufacturer website)

Very helpful. Thanks. My device (mighty plug pro) during the update blinks in orange, not in yellow. That’s the only difference.

Hi i bought one just recently, it already has 20230320 firmware installed. How do you know if it's the chop tones version? Both firmware versions on the NUX website have the same version number and file size.

Hi, you can see from the IRs available. The choptones version has only 18 slots for use IRs as the first two are filled by choptones ones. In any case I am not expecting a factory new device to include the choptones firmware, it if very likely you will need to update it

Hi do I still need to connect the device when I install the asio driver for windows?
The asio drivers are required to allow windows to recognize the device as a usb audio interface. It should be possible to install them without connecting them but much easier if you have the device connected. I hope I replied to your question
