Great Effect have to try this, thank you! :) Quick tip, instead of draging nodes to "surface" to preview them in render just press the greyed out "S" on the node to solo it inder render view !
Hello, the effect can be approached either way. The advantage here is that vertex maps require really dense geometry to get high resolution, because the resolution is limited by the vertex count of the geometry. Cheers
It must be something with the uwmapping because the effect didnt showed up in a circle form around the object.. but im trying different methods now, I know it can be fixed somehow but im still just a beginner haha
Yeah I looked into the object's uv and its a disaster.. I have to solve it somehow, so you don't have to upload the files. But thank you very much for the quick response and of course the tutorial! :)
exactly what I needed!! thanks a lot for the tutorial :)

Oh, that's helpful thanks 👍
awesome! thank you, sir!
You bet!
Good job ! Keep it up 💪
Thank you! Will do!
its what i need bro
thnx
Wouldn't this had been easier using a vertex map instead?

Nice tutorial. Sadly if I want to replicate the effect on another object, it gets messy.. can you share the project file with the shoes?
Weird, this same process should work on any type of object. What issue are you facing specifically? I can put the project file up on my Patreon

dont you wanna upload it to gumroad? :)
Ok, that makes sense because the effect uses the UV coordinates to move along the object. I can also put the files on Gumroad@@Manieec
