Free, High Quality Plant Library - Cinema4D
Hey Folks,
I just learned that this library offered a C4D plugin (along with other DCC's) and wanted to share the resource. I think it's a really solid free option, super high quality. Sidenote, I forgot to export the audio as mono so it may only come through one side/speaker.

Awesome animation brother🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hi, why did you choose c4d for this effect, not houdini? Its a lot longer/more difficult to create in houdini?
No you could create the same effect in Houdini pretty easily. I chose C4D just because I like to try to create procedural effects in C4D as well.
redshift cant handle rigid body simulations while rendering
super useful tutorial
Thank you again for your awesome tutorial. Once I place the node my houdini enters limited commercial session mode? I'm using houdini fx 20.5 . Is this supposed to happen with this HDA
Hello, I made this one in 19.5 with an Indie license so it makes sense that this is happening. Perhaps there is an hda converter out there.
@@kylesullivandesign ok good to know! Thank you for your response I'll try to look for this or try to figure out how to create 2d smoke
Amazing tutorial. You explain things very clear and this was what I need for the current project
Brother, your face is Infront of the details. :)
lol I realized that after the fact but I can't change it. I'll keep that in mind for the next one but I do say what I'm doing so it shouldn't be too hard to follow. Also I'm available for questions on discord if you can't figure something out
GREAT TIP THANK YOUUU
wooooow,soooo nice,keep work,bro!!!!!!!
This is great! Could you please cover an approach to do this inside Houdini in the future as well?
Underrated but important topic for beginners! Thanks 👍
Fantastic stuff
Nice solution
Thanks
cool!
That's so satisfying, and professional looks like!
Thanks man
Thank you, this was awesome.
Thank You very much!
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing!
Of course, hope it was helpful @kimko__
Soooo goood 🔥
Thanks!
Great job Kyle! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. And if I may: the sound is perhaps a little too quiet :)
Happy to share, hope it's useful. And that's a good note, I'll try to increase the volume in new videos. Thank you!
Cool stuff
thank you, really nice tutor
Really interesting, on mine sometimes the trail leaves a kind of rippling effect. Is that because of the underlying geometry of the plane?
If you are using the jiggle deformer it could be that. Otherwise there may be something going on in your vertex map or displacement deformer. Check those and let me know if you find anything odd. Cheers!
Thank you very much!
Thank You very much, Kyle!
this is gold
Thanks, what is those LV tools?
This is so cool!
HOW GET YOU CAMER CLIP
Just FYI your tutorials are great, I love the way you actually work through things and show the whole process!
Thank you! I think the small details are often where people can get tripped up so I'm glad it makes a difference.
💯💯
Hi. Sorry for the noob question but I really don't understand how to install ntLib :(
file/import/houdini digital asset
Which part are you confused about? You need to download ntLib, create a folder where your HDA's will be, put the HDA's from ntLib in that folder, locate your houdini.env file (usually in documents>houdini xx.x), edit that and add the line of code with the path to your HDA folder. You can look up videos on specifically installing HDA libraries too.
@@Skl_One this works for me. I tried the second method but it doesn't work. thank you very much!
more houdini tuts, love it!
thx
This is awesome thank you!!
Hey glad you liked it man!
Good to see you back
Sound ? :)
I'm sorry I forgot to export the audio in mono and it's only coming from the left speaker 😵💫
sound in left ear only. good video. thanks
hi! does it work on Octane?
No unfortunately this is Redshift only right now. I can work on an Octane version as well though 👍
@@kylesullivandesign would be great!
Nice in depth tutorial, thanks! What are your PC specs?
does it look like a feather tho?
Really nice tutorial! Could you explain what kind of material you used for your examples? I really like the color variation you achieved
It's a sss material driven by a height based vertex map. I cover the whole setup in more detail + project files on Patreon if you're interested.
HI, ive downloaded your tools except im having trouble bringing it into solaris procedurally using the Houdini procedural hair node ? any ideas why it won't work
Hi there, I’m not sure as I haven’t used solaris very much.
Amazing turorial thx a lot. I have a problem at 1:32:48 when I drag and drop te cloner in the vertex I don't have the spline option, and the vertex attribute doesn't work for me, do you have an idea why?
I having a same issue, put the cloner into a Connect object and drag the Connect in the field of the vertex map the spline object option must be appear :)
Holy Mother of motion graphics
You cleverly cutted the mistake in 40min. I know what went wrong and I am stuck there.
I fixed it, its the bounding box in spline wrap that causing trouble
Quick question (great tutorial btw). how would I simplify the outer border edges of that grid? is there an option to include this geometry?
Dang that is a good question. I don't know, but there is always a way in Houdini! Let me know if you figure it out.
WTF this is so fkn sick like wow eye candy. also I love the pill slamming into the chamber like a revolver and the way the sound design matched up haha that was so sick. Fire AF
Thanks man!
