Super Tasty Chocolate Knots 🥯🍫

    Ingredients:
    Dough
    - 500g flour
    - 1/4 cup sugar
    - 1 tbsp dry yeast
    - 2 eggs
    - 240 ml lukewarm milk
    - 60g butter, room temp
    Cocoa filling:
    - 200g butter, melted
    - 140g cocoa
    - 1/2 cup sugar
    - 1/2 cup icing sugar
    - 150g dark chocolate, finely chopped
    Sugar syrup:
    - 1/2 cup of sugar
    - 1/2 cup water
    Directions:
    1. In a mixer with a kneading hook add flour, yeast, sugar and mix lightly.
    2. Add milk, eggs and mix until a uniform dough is formed.
    3. Then gradually add the butter until it is completely mixed into the dough, continue kneading for another 8 minutes until a soft and uniform dough is formed.
    4. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm and humid place for about 1.5hours.
    5. Meanwhile in a small bowl mix all the ingredients for the filling.
    6. Once the dough has doubled in size, remove air from the dough, and divide into two parts.
    7. Roll one into a very thin rectangle and spread half of the amount of filling on top of the dough.
    8. Fold the dough in thirds.
    9. Roll out very thinly until filling starts to show through.
    10. Using a pizza cutter cut thin strips.
    11. Twist 4 strips together and gently tie into a knot.
    12. Repeat with other half of the dough.
    13. Place the knots into a lined deep baking dish. Packed tightly.
    14. Cover and allow to rest for 40 minutes.
    15. Mean while preheat oven to 170°C.
    16. Bake for around 40 minutes, till golden.
    17. At the same time, in a saucer over medium heat, boil sugar and water till dissolved and slightly thickened.
    18. Once knots is out of oven brush with sugar syrup.
    19. Allow to cool and enjoy!
