i used to struggle with understanding pathophysiology, mainly bc our lecture pdfs and diaporamas either scratch things on surface level only or they contain nothing but a bunch of incomprehensible schematic "explanations", but your videos LITERALLY saved me! they’re just so smooth and easily understood and they cover pretty much everything that is important and needed. osmosis i owe you so much hshsjsk love you ❤️
Top top quality video. Just the right level if detail for what I need to know as a medical student in the UK. Beautifully explained. I wish there was a video like this for everything I have to learn.
hey ,if anyone else needs to find out about what are kidney disease symptoms try Franaar Healthy Kidney Formula (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my brother in law got great success with it.
You are the saviour for us med students at last moment of examinations.🙏 I pay my respect to you and pledge to offer my first salary to your patreon page. ♥️🥰
I will link my entire medical school class to your page! There are about 240 ms1 students currently learning from yall because your videos are so amazing and easy to follow. THANK YOU for doing what you do!
Hi! I want to thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion to us through your videos. They are a great help to me during my masters since I learned a lot. God bless you guys!

Can you please do a video on leptospirosis? There's not much sources that can give a detailed yet simple explanation about the diease pathophysiology.. Thank you so much!
Nothing gives me joy knowing that I no longer have deadly kidney stones, I felt so much pain last 5 years in search of a cure! finally got rid of it with natural herbal supplement from Dr okouromi on UA-cam.
it's really helpfull video about prereanl AKI. i'm learning about AKI but stuck to understand the mechalism of why in the pre AKI , it can be oliguria and the urine's less sodium, etc....
Really appreciate your video. I have a quick question at the end though. If water, sodium, and urea are all reabsorbed based on the aldosterone system, the urine should have less urea as well. However, you said it will stink more. Is it just because the amount of water loss in urine is significant that the urea odor peaks out?
Very amazing video! Just a little feedback- kindly add RIFLE criteria of staging and a little note on management of the conditions! Thankyou and lots of love from India! 😇
Thanks, Emma! We're glad you're finding our videos useful. If you haven't yet checked out our educational platform we have a bunch of tools that we think you'd like. 👋 Hi Doctor Rishi Desai, why you don't lay down firstly the underlying mechanism behind which the dis-ease occurs then you can explain the accompanied pathophisiology ?

Around 1:39 you have mentioned that Creatinine is reabsorbed, please could you confirm that. Creatinine is completely filtered and excreted and only some portion is secreted (thus helping us to measure GFR). Could you clarify this. Thanks
Thanks for the kind words, Lindsay! Did you know that if you like & review us on Facebook then you’ll get access to our videos a day before they’re published on UA-cam? Check it out here: bit.ly/2u35D6J
I have a question, does the renin-angiotensin aldosterone also get stimulated in post renal disease? since there would also be less blood filtration in post renal failure?
Haha you must choose but choose wisely? Love the Indiana Jones kidney :D he seems super enthusiastic about teaching us about archeology and kidney diseases
Nothing gives me joy knowing that I no longer have deadly kidney stones, I felt so much pain last 5 years in search of a cure! finally got rid of it with natural herbal supplement from Dr okouromi on UA-cam.
I have spent months investigating the top cure for reducing kidney disease naturally and found an awesome resource at Jaylands Kidney Kit (google it if you are interested)

mechanism is different for azotemia in some books.. Other mech is. as less blood is reaching kidney{ ischemia} less urea is getting flitered out leading to increase in Urea cret. ratio.. it has nothing to do with Renin Angio tensin. plz clarify as soon as possible #Osmosis

This is too science-y for me. I will confess that as a reading teacher with a master’s degree, I need things put more simply. I have this diagnosis and I really want to understand.
if med students who became practitioners actually cared enough to explain the diagnosis of their patients maybe they wouldn’t have to come looking for the answers to their questions on UA-cam “lectures” lol

Hello!
Quick question: what happens to the potassium level in the blood? is it always elevated in pre-renal, intra-renal and post-renal?
Depends on the phase of kidney injury you are in. in the oliguric phase you would by hyperkalemic and in the diuretic phase your would be hypokalemic
Thanks. May be it will help to get me good grades ☑
it's a pleasure watching your videos. it helps me a lot.^^

This doesn't concern you. It's a lecture for medical students, you do not need to know this, there's a reason why it's complicated
if med students who became practitioners actually cared enough to explain the diagnosis of their patients maybe they wouldn’t have to come looking for the answers to their questions on UA-cam “lectures” lol
@@clumsygirl1994 you didn’t read what he said properly he never said he was a science teacher. He just said he had a masters degree
It essentially means that the kidneys aren’t getting enough blood so they can’t work properly. The cause depends on your specific case.
What's a "reading teacher"? Maybe the English language is also a problem for you.
Great stuff
Thanks!
How can I site this in APA format?
amazing!
Fantastic!
Thanks, Katama! 🥰
SO NICE
Please make a video on paraneoplastic syndromes😅😅
