There is wattage loss because the bank uses 5 cells in series so it needs to boost voltage to charge. That's how you lose the wattage between the 100 w shown on cable and 88w on the bank
A port was active because you had the green dot on which is for trickle charging a low watage device on the type A, it forces the battery to stay on even if the type A only pulls like .5w or something tiny that would normally look like it was unplugged, I think double tapping the side button turned that on
yup yup. The green dot meant it was in trickle charge mode... if I had pressed the button just once, it would of gotten out of trickle charge mode. The green dot would of disappeared and it would stop saying the A port is active.
have you also already found the hidden emotes of this powerbank? If you hold the powerbutton it will show some blinking eyes, and if you klick the powerbutton to many times it will get angry. Or when you rotate it to much it will get sick and show some spiral eyes :D
Even though this has been replaced with their prime series, I still bought one of em this year as it still holds up too the point not either matches or beats them
i don't have the newer version, and I freaking love this thing for my steam deck oled! I can charge my steam deck at 45 watts and then when this battery dies, fully recharge it in like 30 minutes. lol
The A port was active because if you double tap the side button it activates trickle charge mode and for some reason that displays as the A port is active.
Thank you for the Video 🙏🏻 I purchased one, too. On the bottom of the Box, mine says: "Anker 737 Power Bank Gen 2" What does yours say? I'm only getting super fast charging on my 22 ultra. Tried 2 cables. It will go up to about 30w but then for some reason the phone is bumping it down to 8-13w
Does it have passthrough charging without degrading the battery? I.e. want to use it as an adapter to laptop with usb c charging connected to the outlet Gona use it plugged to the wall as an power adapter to the laptop, and just bring it as powerbank when needed. Is this possible? Laptop needs 100W. I have a 100w gan charger to charge this is the idea
How do you get it to charge at that wattage? My 66w phone and 100w cable only draws 10w from the power bank, does 10 to 12 Watts for all phones I've tried from varying manufacturers :(
This thing constantly resets my galaxy s20 ultra. Its my 2nd unit. It only happens when 2 devices are connected to the usb c ports. Any ideas on this? Its beyond frustrating
Trickle is really slow. Like AirPods use only a single watt to charge. You don’t need and can’t force 140 watts into it. So you use trickle charging. Also, controllers. They charge at just a couple of watts. I’ll try to make these videos more beginner friendly in the future.
@@wwjoshdew do you need to turn on trickle charge for those things? Mine just only gives the couple of watts that the device requires. I thought trickle charge slows down the other ports so they will charge slower
