    I've used Anker products for years. The cables are cheaper and better made than similar Apple cables. I also use an Anker power strip on my desk and it works great. The times I've had a cable go bad Anker support has made it very easy to get a free replacement one. Unlike trying to deal with the Apple Store employees which can be a nightmare.

    To clarify things a little more, gallium nitride is a semiconductor material that's replacing silicon in these chargers, this *isn't* just a naming gimmick. "GaNPrime" is the marketing name, but the material itself is not exclusive to Anker. The material (and Anker's smart background knowledge) are what allow these things to be so efficient and compact compared to the traditional counterparts.
    While I'll also be sticking to Anker's power banks and chargers, I sincerely hope other brands transition to this better material in the near future. Right now, Anker's seriously making almost everything else out there feel rather dated. :)

    • @emilyyi3212
      @emilyyi3212 Рік тому

      Now there are more and more gallium nitride charger suppliers, and our gallium nitride technology is very mature. It's just that end customers know too little about it, and many people just want to buy the original charger.

      regardless your device will only pull a certain amount of power. Doesn't matter if I have a 100w power brick or a 140w power brick. my MacBook 2021 air will only pull up to 67 watts of current est. also depends on what cable your using for charing as well. if it doest have the E marker chip its limited on current and data as well.

    but since i've been using Anker's stuff for over 5 years now, i can confirm that they are quality products u can depend on. i have multiple of their chargers and powerbanks, and some of their 'umbrella brand' prodcuts like a Soundcore bluetooth speaker and wireless earbuds. If only Anker didn't restrict their products when buying from outside US. I have been trying for weeks to buy an Anker power bank and a charging station from Amazon and with the exception of the black 615 (which was way more expensive than the white one) everything had a "This product can't be shipped to your location". And since the black 615 could be shipped but not the white one, it means that the restriction is probably set by Anker themselves.

    Great video! I've loved Anker products for years now. I was sad you missed the star of this lineup though. I just picked up their 737 power bank and it's a BEAST! It's the first power bank on the market that supplies 140 watts on the go and can fast charge my MacBook 16 inch at full speed. And because it has 140 watt input in addition to output, the 24k mah battery can recharge itself from dead to full in 52 minutes. That's actually insane and so ideal if you need to recharge on a layover or something.

    Great video, but your comment on the Anker 733 is a bit misleading. The device is a 2-in-1 wall charger and powerbank, but its power deliveries are different depending on whether it is plugged to the outlet or not. As a charger, plugged to the wall it outputs 65w, as a powerbank it outputs 30w.

    could you list the capacity in Wh? mAh is kind of meaningless as the voltages of cells in different devices are different. Wh tells you how much power the cell can actually store, my biggest power bank is 44Wh but i would like a bigger one as power outages where i live can be quite extensive, over 12 hours in some cases

    While these products are very nice, I hope that 1) the products fully comply with the USB-IF Power Delivery 3.0 (and maybe 3.1) standards and 2) Anker makes sure the devices will properly with with iPhones, iPads, MacBooks and Samsung cellphones/tablets. I don't want an issue where a problem with the Anker charger "fries" a phone, tablet or laptop for all the _wrong_ reasons.

    What are the details on volts and amperage, everyone talks about watts but doesn't understand it's distributed among the other charging ports

    I had a power bank from Anker since 2013 or something and only this year it went dead and even that is because I connected it to a shorted USB port in a tour bus.
