How to use a DSLR as Webcam with OBS Studio (Nikon D3300)

- I Always wanted to use my DSLR as webcam to improve the quality of videos during y tutorials. Finally found a solution to use my Nikon D3300 for live stream or recording with obs studio.
You will need the following:
DSLR Camera
USB to connect Camera to computer
Windows OS
OBS Studio
Digicamcontrol Software
Program: digicamcontrol.com/
Check if it supports a live view of your camera: digicamcontrol.com/cameras

I've been looking everywhere to make my D3200 work as a webcam but everyone says it's not possible. This worked perfectly! It was dark in the beginning but I checked Exposure Comp. in the Control tab and it was set to -2. Changed to 0 and now it's perfect! Thank you so so much.
Mine has lag so you know what to do to change that

Nikon probably, because they only support their newer cameras and they want us to go buy a new camera...

This is amazing, thank you, this is a perfect way to reuse my D3300, it's just been gathering dust.
That said getting the cables and an extended shooting battery thingy will likely cost more than a webcam lol.
Not true! I got ' the cables and an extended shooting battery thingy ' for SGD48 online.
You can get an ac adapter to keep it going.

you should be able to remove d icons n get a clean live view out which is easier to crop.

I have a question, when I use my Nikon D5100 camera as a webcam it gives me a problem, because when I am teaching online approximately every 5 min the image freezes for about 1 second and continues transmitting the image, but as I was saying, this it does this every 5 minutes. (The camera makes a noise like taking a picture at the moment the image freezes), could you help me with that problem please.

Thank you for a really good video. How do you get past the camera power down 30 minute feature? Is that tied into DigiCam software?
I would just maybe apply a re-focus to reset that 30 min Timer when I know its close.

You can use digicam control also to connect the dslr to Discord? it detects as a webcam?
Bro help me i am using eos canon 600d for live but it doesn't allow me to view live view for camera?
I tried with my camera a Nikon D3100 but it doesn't let me do the LV. It only let me do captures. Do I need the HDMI cable?
