This door cycles every time the car shuts down. The bottom line is that there should have been an after market metal hinged option available to avoid this issue. There was a site that I found that offered a billet aluminum option but unfortunately they don't offer it anymore. Would be great if someone with a maching shop would fab these for sale to to us unfortunate camaro owners to stop having to do this over and over
After the 4th time mine broke I did have one machined for about 50 bucks out of billet, I accessed the door by cutting small section on driver side so its very easy to replace, couldn't imagine taking to the dealership everytime it failed..I posted the procedure here on UA-cam
Blend door USA makes metal ones.
I have a 2010 Camaro with the same issue, went to the dealership and it cost $1100 just to replace and program the actuator
Go get it configured at the dealer once you replace it. Also try to stay off max ac or heat. You’re first video gave me hope. F the haters
Just turn the dial to cold and place the blend door in the closed position,
Why are you going through drivers side and passenger side
You need to get the blender door calibrated on a computer so it goes when it's not closing anymore and opening anymore
Did it today the foot vent is a pain yet back in

Do you need to disconnect the battery if you remove the seat?

You can do this blend door replacement under the driver side dash without removing the seat,if your fat, remove the seat.
