QUESTION: am in the process of doing this repair and have hit a snag. The shaft on the actuator motor won’t align with any position that I can adjust the newly installed blend door. It's just slightly off but enough where I can’t even re-bolt the piece on. I’m thinking I can reset with a 9V battery, but can’t find the pin assignment to test. (GM Part # 92215208/ACDelco Part # 15-74128) Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you for your videos!
Can anyone do this on my 2015 Chevy Camaro LT? Will pay for labor + flight/gas + hotel (if needed) to get to Nashville, Tennessee or I can drive to you if you’re somewhat close to nashville. Chevrolet quoted me at nearly $4,500…
PLEASE HELP!!!! What are you using to see the problem codes and force the car calibrate everything ? What every you used to clear the body control module mfault codes! Please help how do I buy one!
I got same part and it shspect its. Breaking again or broke didnt last ten years like the original. All i did is put it back on it fit perfectly in the actuator and turned the car on and worked nornal for over a year. Dont know why its breaking agin so fast .
well that sucks, I have the same issue on my 14. I figured it was the electric motor that just went bad, but after seeing hundreds of people saying the same thing the blend door itself failed I think its safe to assume thats my problem.. I wonder if it would be better to access this through the passenger footwell? anyone tried cutting in that way
Did you cut the plastic to avoid taking the windshield out? I have this issue with my 2014 2SS Camaro mechanic just called and said they will have to remove the windshield and it will cost $3000. I did not take it to the dealership, mechanic shop I have used for years.
Glad to know you were able to do it at 6'2". I am the same height as you. Curious if removing the rear seat bottom would help with room? It's only held in by two clips and comes out very easily.
Just did today. Your video along with 737’s were a huge help!
Great video, subscribed. ✌
thx!
Does it matter which way the blend door is facing when it’s replaced ?, like on full ac mode or heater?
What was the a.c doing blowing hot air on the driver side or both side
Driver side get hot and passenger gets cold.
I’m going to have to do mine this weekend
Do you have to use the scan tool?
not if you disconnect the battery.
where did you get that scan tool?
what scan tool is that?
Here is the link to it

More permanent fix use a aluminum door from blend door USA.
I just replaced the oem plastic one with the aluminum 1 you mentioned. So awesome.
Link for aluminum one?
I don’t understand why they make to so fkn difficult to fix stuff like this that’s bound to break… it’s like they want it to be a pain
They do it so you can bring it in
This is the result of engineers not turning a wrench.

Just got a quote for this same temp door for $3300 in the North Metro Atlanta for a 2014 LS. I said that was crazy and no thanks.

That is what kids are for.
I watched this to figure out how to take out the control module, HVAC tube, and actuator motor before getting to the cutting. Smh.
