I might be wrong but the price for load on that screen when he had it up was 100 aUEC because in the back image it showed 81.56K and the pop up window showed 81660 aUEC.
Was about to comment this myself, the extra 100auec must be the loading fee. But that's also far too low a fee imo, I hope it gets raised dramatically. If it's only 100 auec for loafing nearly 600SCU there's no incentive to self-load, especially as the load timer was only 10 minutes which is fairly equivalent to how long it would take you load it yourself.
My guess for the issue of buying a larger ship in game that requires a larger hangar, is itll just be like moving house. Anything you had laying about in your old hangar just gets stored and you need to set up the new larger hangar how youd like it. As for randoms in your hangar, they could make them trespass zones like your ships. Give them a crimestat after a short time, or allow you to "remove" them with applied force.
Yea that would be my guess to, just for useability i think it would be wise to have a display in the hangar where you can press a "Store everything" Button and a "upgrade hangar" button and the "upgrade hangar" button prompts a warning if something is still in your hangar and that everything will be stored and every player who is currently in your hangar will be kicked out.
There was a price difference on loading the Cat with scrap. Price to buy on the menu was 81.56k. Confirmation price was 81,660. Looks like they set the dummy price for loading at 100 UEC.
What about outposts? Will they have lowerable landing pads too? Or is loading still instant there for the time being? So far this seems like it would be easily exploitable just by having more copies of your primary cargo vessel: while one is loading, I pilot another.
The working theory at this time is outposts will be manual loading only as you can't store ships there, since auto loading requires ships to be stored. Though they haven't officially answered that question, so we don't know for sure right now, but that's the theory based on what we know on how this system works.
Caterpillar is essentially forced on to auto loading only as manual loading one is a pain and huge time sink, bordering on impossible. It's also limited in what size cargo boxes it can carry due to its segmented cargo sections, meaning it has more boxes to deal with to fill up its capacity.
price for auto load showed a .100k discrepancy between foreground and background panels... shows 81,660 on the purchase screen and 81.56K in the background at 19:00 so right now might be a flat 100 auec fee
When the hangar changed in the past, it literally just knocked down walls to the original one you had and this was a "large" hangar. So I imagine none of your stuff will move, the walls will just expand outwards.
Cat will be forced on to auto loading only as manual loading one is borderline impossible. It's limited in container size, so has more containers to deal with than necessary and trying to get cargo up to its cargo bays is an exercise in extreme patience and trial and error.
When you have CCUed a ship to a much larger one you still have the self landing hanger does that hanger increase in size otherwise there is going to be a problem unless the hanger size is set to the largest ship in your hanger or set at large even if you only have a small ship.
Definitely glad for the ground vehicle workaround also that some hangers are bigger and some ships are classified larger perhaps the spirit series won't be put in small hangers anymore
The hanger changing in side should be easy. I assume nothing gets saved if it’s on the floor door and everything gets moved to the outside buffer walkway.
But if the floor door gets bigger physics decrees the walkway around it must also get bigger. This means objects won't remain where you left them unless their location data is based off the area of the hangar floor rather than simply being linked to the fixed point in 3D space where they were originally placed, and even then the distance between objects would increase as the hangar size increased even if each object remained in its same location relative to the area of the hangar floor plane. The way around this would be to have the only areas that are actually persistent be a room/alcove off the side of the main hangar (like the alcove containing the elevators that we have now) that remains a fixed size no matter the size of the main hangar room; maybe that's what they're going for, but it would be nice if they'd explained that rather than leaving us guessing 😅

You don't choose the hangar size, it's automatically chosen based on the largest ship in your pledge inventory. And yeah, you can definitely use the freight elevator as a temporary garage while you call up other vehicles, or the drone bay, or the refuelling bay -- those are all large enough to house multiple vehicles.

They said no vehicles via cargo elevator. This just sounds like the obvious workaround with calling it via the ASOP, driving it off, then calling a ship And if you have a certain size hangar and purchase a bigger ship in all likelihood they'll store everything you have laid out around your hangar and then increase the size. You'll have to decorate again but better than losing things.

I'm betting that was just a placeholder price they were using for testing and it will be much more on live. 100 aUEC is essentially nothing and makes manual loading larger ships pointless.
2:21 Surely they have thought this through, right? "The biggest ship you have" in my case (assuming a patch wipe) is a Drake Cutter; please tell me my persistent hangar isn't going to be permanently limited to the correct size for a Cutter, that would make it completely useless for any meaningful gameplay 🤣🤣🤣 I just don't know what the fix could be, coz like Mike pointed out, the whole idea is you can place objects persistently in your hangar and that doesn't work if it has to resize to accommodate larger ships.
So there's no more inventory. But i only have access to my personal hangar and cargo lift at my home terminal. So i can't store large items anywhere but at my home planet??? I hope that's not the case dude 😔
No, I think you'll have cargo elevators in hangars in every location, they just won't be persistent hangars that yiu can leave stuff lying around in like your home location hangar. At least, that's how I've understood what they've said so far.
I want an Aeroview Hanger not one of these dank and dark crappy looking hangars. Can I choose if I supposedly have bought one. If I have three or four different hangers am I stuck with this basic bitch hangar or do I get to choose which one of mine I use?
8:45 "it means like ve need to haf enough item banks around each location so you don't block each other." I see something was learned from New Deal Lorville. Also, MMO player purposefully grief people... say it ain't so.
You only have access to a hangar that fits the largest ship you've bought with real money. If you buy a bigger ship in game than the hangar you have access to, you won't be able to spawn it in your hangar.
Another one to think about how do criminal gamplay people access their personal hangars? We can’t set grim as a spawn so are all those players just getting the good ol shoulder shrug response from the devs again?
Yeah this is good, but this doesn't really change anything for a trader.. I go to farms and research centers to buy cargo, so what will change there? The fact I will now have to pay to auto load is nothing new, essentially I did that already, it was just an unseen cost when I purchased my cargo from the terminal. Granted I will go to a landing zone or station to sell okay, but I'm really missing how this does anything for cargo/trading gameplay loops.
While people have asked and we're still waiting for an answer from the devs, the suspicion is that outposts that can't store ships will be forced to use manual loading only, no auto loading. That's unconfirmed right now, but based on what they said about auto loading requiring a ship to be in storage to work, it sounds like outposts will be manual loading only.
If they do this with “Penthouse suit hangers” I’ll throw money at the screen, certainly not for a dull boring hole in the ground. If I can repair, refuel, modify ship weapons and components, all with magnificence views of the city, that’s when I’ll throw money at the screen.
They should make it possible to make a space station your home, I don't want to fly down everytime, or else I will never use my personal hangar, just like now I never go down to any planet unless I really have to
Why did they have to work on three different sizes when they could have just given everyone the largest version because of course people are going to end up owning the largest vehicle as that's pretty much the main credit sink in the game, unless there's rent to pay on planetary bases, but even that shouldn't be crippling.
The quick workaround for spawning vehicles kind of sounds like a solution they didn't know they had until someone pointed out the obvious lol

As a pretty hardened SC follower, even I am excited about this. Now if we just had trade missions or an economy, some type of reason to move cargo, not just high risk trading then I would start playing seriously again.
It may be that bought ships larger than 'your' hanger' will only be spawnable at the ASOP terminal at your home location. You will be able to load them from your hanger, just not spawn them?
they said your hanger is the size of your largest ship so i assume if you buy one later it will just upgrade your hanger size.
@@limyarplane1991but how? If you just decorated your hangar with Picos, big Benny vending machines and hospital trolleys. What do they do with those?
@@eavdmeer now I actually have absolutely zero clue but if i was to make a guess they would probs just put those things into storage and upgrade your hanger, that would be what makes the most sense to me. maybe in the later stages of the game give you the choice to upgrade or not?
@@limyarplane1991 none of those sound very appealing. Imagine decorating a medium hanger. That's a mammoth job. Then you buy you C2 and everything is gone. Even with a choice, not upgrading is really not a great choice
im gonna be pissed, if i can't upgrade my small hanger or get a medium one for the non-pledged ships i own
why do there have to be different sizes of hangars anyway? will be intersting to see if the size is based on the biggest ship you pledged or the biggest one you bought in game.
gonna suck if i get one based on my 100i pledge, lol... creating different classes of players
The big ones are stupid big.

lets just hope it change witht the ships xou own in game which is the only ships you will own later on (beta or release) anyway.
woujld be kinda weird not to be able to use it for your C2 you bought in game, making it kinda pointless.
Twice this week ATC had me land my small ships in XL hangars and it was hilarious seeing these tiny little ships in this massive 890J sized space. It made me giggle seeing them.
Just watched Virgil, Tomato and others rave about this update. Came to see how Mike could piss on it. Man needs a hug
Did I shiit on it? Im lost...you are no better than who you are making me out to be in your head. There is literally one concern. What happens when you buy a ship in game?
Please make a video about how you say the caterpillar is broken because I don't get it. Something I must be missing here.
Basically with these chages, the Cat is being forced in to auto loading cargo only. Manual loading one is borderline impossible. It's limited in container size, so has more containers to deal with than necessary and trying to get cargo up to its cargo bays is an exercise in extreme patience and trial and error.
@Mike Regarding the price its 4,44% higher for the scrap than the actual one of 136.
That was sick. I wouldn't mind seeing objectives like capture one of two boxes or hostages.
Who hoo. So stoked for this….But did I not hear him say the vehicles will come up via the main elevator. Assume stopgap till the side elevator appears?
What happened to the Cat?

@@Gofr5 Ty for the answer
Am I just really bad at using a calculator or is 576 x 142 = 81,792? Why would the price total (81,660) be LESS than the commodity cost? Is loading actually a tiny negative number (discount) in the total?
And will those of us who purchased the Juke Box be able to project Internet or YT or Twitch on a huge screen in our hangers for our Org mates for SC Org Film nights or something, also play my music library in game via the huge hanger speakers 🎉
They said no vehicles via cargo elevator. This just sounds like the obvious workaround with calling it via the ASOP, driving it off, then calling a ship
And if you have a certain size hangar and purchase a bigger ship in all likelihood they'll store everything you have laid out around your hangar and then increase the size. You'll have to decorate again but better than losing things.
How is the cat ruined?

19:05 Kiosque price in the shadow is 81.56k full loaded price is 81.660 so... 100 to load... cheap.
I'm betting that was just a placeholder price they were using for testing and it will be much more on live. 100 aUEC is essentially nothing and makes manual loading larger ships pointless.
Krakens can land soooooo hangars fit that????
2:21 Surely they have thought this through, right?
"The biggest ship you have" in my case (assuming a patch wipe) is a Drake Cutter; please tell me my persistent hangar isn't going to be permanently limited to the correct size for a Cutter, that would make it completely useless for any meaningful gameplay 🤣🤣🤣
I just don't know what the fix could be, coz like Mike pointed out, the whole idea is you can place objects persistently in your hangar and that doesn't work if it has to resize to accommodate larger ships.
When can my home be Grim hex though?
Where's the robot ai workers?
Same, I love Aeroview.
8:45 "it means like ve need to haf enough item banks around each location so you don't block each other." I see something was learned from New Deal Lorville. Also, MMO player purposefully grief people... say it ain't so.
This is actually real cool stuff.
I'm looking forward to decorating my personal hangar, and it's nice to see a cargo variant of the fabled battle trolly 😅🚀
They added yet another new way for your character to die, and this one isn't a bug it's a feature!
You only have access to a hangar that fits the largest ship you've bought with real money. If you buy a bigger ship in game than the hangar you have access to, you won't be able to spawn it in your hangar.
🤔so.... can i lurk in a merlin, outside a spaceport, and sneak inside another players personal hangar when they take off, before the door closes 🤔
Jared got big nuts putting the green screen phone out there hahaha wow. That will definitely get fucking wrecked.
Saltmike you missed an important note, the "local market value"
I like how he doesn't wait for the video to go thru before saying something that is stated later haha not a critique just funny everytime
It’s a react…

I mean yeah that's going to be the nature of a live reaction though I agree it's funny every time.
What a bunch of Escargo!

I can’t believe you stayed on for this! It was over 3 hrs late!

Cargo is essential to combat as well...
I’m excited for having my own hanger finally just to set up and hang out in is gonna be cool. The mule has a purpose now😂 (or soon)
This is looking good!
They should make it possible to make a space station your home, I don't want to fly down everytime, or else I will never use my personal hangar, just like now I never go down to any planet unless I really have to
Reclaimer bought in game is not bought with a hangar, only realy money ships are bought with hangars
Why did they have to work on three different sizes when they could have just given everyone the largest version because of course people are going to end up owning the largest vehicle as that's pretty much the main credit sink in the game, unless there's rent to pay on planetary bases, but even that shouldn't be crippling.
Now let me buy Mole-bags at refineries, so I can melt my Mole XD
I’ll let you in on a secret, you could in evo.
