I still think what happened to Baron Corbin proved two things.
1. Speaking up for what you think is right is a no-no in WWE.
2. Just proved how detrimental the Jinder WWE title run was.
The only reason why Jinder was champion to me is cause they wanted to expand to the Indian market and well it just didn't work out for them.

I just thought it was hilarious that the company that wanted concussions and the wellness policy taken so seriously punished a guy for saying that a doctor didn't take concussions seriously

Mickie James being called fat is to this day one of the most outrageous, stupid things I've ever heard.
It absolutely blows my mind that Mickie still remains so positive about that storyline when she gets asked about it in any interviews.
It was an interesting storyline. It showed the bullying aspect in life and Mickie also wanted to make Michelle the best damn heel ever

WWE'S biggest overreaction HAS to be Vince suspending Tidus O'Neil for touching his shoulder during the Daniel Bryan retirement segment. Not only did he get suspended but it happened right before wrestlemania costing him a wrestlemania payday
Plus apparently they had to talk Vince down from it twice since he originally wanted to FIRE Titus and then wanted him suspended for twice as much time.
afaik titus just wanted to say "ladies first" to vince as they were heading back to gorilla, so steph would be heading to the back first

That Wendi Richter story is one of the great what could have been's. Prior to that event and her then leaving the company she was becoming a huge crossover star. That screwjob set women's wrestling back by lord only knows how long
At least 20 years considering the "matches" they had in the early 2000s. I grew up watching WWE in the early 2000s but having a pudding match isn't wrestling. It's degrading and boring.

30 years
Moolah set womens wrestling back decades to be fair. She is the worst thing that ever happened to womens wrestling. She basically ran a school that was slave labor considering her girls lived in a place she owned, they paid her rent and had to give her a % of EVERY MATCH they were paid for. There are some great documentaries on how garbage of a human she was.

I'm a bit amazed that Lana's "push" wasn't here, where the one and only reason she existed for weeks was to put her through tables as punishment for Miro leaving for AEW.
The amount of shills defending the story saying it will payoff with her winning the tag title. The funniest part is how the story ends with Charlotte holding the title. If that isn't vintage wwe idk what is.

It's almost funny. Rusev leaves after dealing with so much torrid booking, which the folks at WWE take offense to, and want to vent their frustration. So they decide: "We have to punish Lana for the transgressions of her husband!" - Plus, Vince had been trying to break the two up for years because he couldn't believe they were a couple. The idea that Lana was willing and wanted to be with Rusev was baffling to him.
Was there ever any proof to that though?

How about when Undertaker told CM Punk to dressed better as world champion, and CM Punk just said: "But what about John Cena?" which let him to drop the title far sooner to the undertaker? That count as a punishment right?
I think it was a WWE official who told that to Punk and he said the Cena which went to the higher ups and Vince and they decided to make Punk loose the title in the shortest Hell in a Cell match ever and outside of the Rey fued treated as a lower card wrestler for a year plus.

Corbin's story was really senseless, but Mickie getting bullied like that even though she's a gorgeous woman totally NOT overweight, is just sickening; script or not, gimmick or not. It is amazing that she didn't overreact in the same manner WWE overreacted to so many things.

Well, Jimmy Uso sure learned his lesson with the DUI by winning the tag titles at MITB. Scott Hall should be a multi time champion by now.
I am glad that it gets featured here on occasion, because it really isn't said enough that Jinder pinning Baron Corbin in 6 seconds kneecapped his momentum and he was never taken as seriously ever again
I'll never not be sad about RVD and his scandals ruining his WWE career. His style was my absolute favorite and he was definitely destined for greater and greater things.

I'm so glad AEW and Impact wrestling are around now. I can only imagine how things would be and how the wrestlers would be treated to this very day. We do have some examples like Keith Lee and others, but would it be more severe? Now that's something I don't want to think about.
Just to think....that person that videotaped The Curtain Call was responsible for Triple H being replaced by Steve Austin as the winner of the 96' King of the Ring. That one person is responsible for the rise of the biggest star WWE ever had!
And in one of those great plot twists of life, that Triple H KOTR was the one that gave us Austin 3:16 if I'm not mistaken
Biggest overreaction has gotta be fining Titus O'Neil for putting his arm on Vince's shoulder and suggesting he let Stephanie go first. Almost fired for showing chivalry. Titus might just be the unluckiest guy in wrestling that didn't seriously hurt himself.

If you wanted an example of WWE punishing Lita that was "extra horrible," you should have included her being humiliated by Crime Time after her final match because WWE was mad that she decided to leave so soon after Trish. That was despicable! The stinkface was harmless, lots of wrestlers (both male and female) got the stinkface. Interestingly, Rikishi said the women didn't even seem to mind (Trish was actually thrilled to hear she was going to get the stinkface), it was the guys who tended to object.

Here’s an interesting idea… maybe. Once a month or whenever you want to do it. But you take popular wrestlers (at the time), or older wrestlers from back in the day and you make a list of your favorite or best matches they had. Doesn’t matter if the win or lose. Daniel Bryan is my personal fav wrestler and I think it would be a great video. It doesn’t have to be wwe specifically it could be when he was in Japan. ;)
