I used to put my cold beer in a tankard then put the straw through the hole in the mug into the beer, it also helped keep it cold I was 16 y/o. I learned a lot of great lessons by my very bad decisions. I learned what not to do. Then as an officer I knew some very good tricks due to my youth. Those mistakes taught me how to deal with impaired drivers. Been there done that. I gave some of the under aged drivers a ride home to deal with parents. I've also made military personnel stay in their dorms, saying if your car moves you will be charged accordingly. I ran into those two airmen 5 years later in the chow line, they said you don't know what you did for us, you saved our careers. I told them I know, because I was in their shoes before. It felt good knowing I helped them. If I charged them both they would have gotten dishonorable discharges and thrown out of the military! No way to ever buy a gun or get good jobs. You are welcome!

Why do these people think they can insult their way out of trouble on the side of the road? A sober person wouldn't think that.
More police need to learn from Deputy Slope. Great guy, means well and people he pulls over just need to be cool and accept their mistakes. Deputy slope realizes people sometimes make stupid mistakes and he is more than fair. He is probably never going to let you off a ticket unless it is extremely minor, but he will probably go light on you for most offenses.
I love how he states supreme state law . That means he is a good cop who knows the LAW and wont arrest or stop you unlawfully with no law to back his arrest. A lot of officers who dont know the law will arrests you and state a law that does not stick in court , charges will be dropped and you was unlawfully arrested for no reason .Also some officers enforce policy and not the law
