We are kicking off the new year with a little visual update & an overview of the year to come! What do you want to see from Lardcore this year? (besides the obvious!) 🐷
Hello ❤ I would like to see your whole team. In addition, whether there are trophies for the PS4/5 and whether the boots stay after you defeat a pig and smoke comes out of the boots, you are super cool Team Lord of Pigs Sorry my englisch is Not so good 😅
Would like to see some gameplay, a bit of the soundtrack, whether we have trophies, online multiplayer hopefully, the game when you guys are ready of course highly doubt it’s this year, a look at the campaign missions, seeing how the piggies currently look and the weapons
@@hoffmeisterdawid5796 I want them to give us the best possible experience when they are ready to release Lardcore I played the original loads growing up. It’s still one of my favourite games all of time
Hello! You are doing a great job! What do I want to see? I want the development team to have a good time making the remake! Even if the game is not released in 2024, there is always next year, and fans can patiently wait for this hit! Good luck!!!
So excited for this! I grew up playing Hogs of War, and have fond memories of coming home from school every day and trying to figure out how to pull out a win on each of the maps while losing the fewest of hogs possible. When it comes time for release, I'd love to help promote the game on my channel.
I used to play this game when I wad a kid and, over 20 years later, my brain randomly dug it up so I checked youtube just to see it's getting a proper remaster. I'm beyond stoked to play the final version of this already promising looking game 😍
Same I played the original on the PS one for years doing the co op multiplayer with my brother, Hogs of War is still one of my all time favourite games. Never got far with the campaign back then though. I know for sure I will be getting Lardcore day one when it’s eventually ready to be released
2024 is a lucky year if you're starting a new assignment or completing an existing one. I'm looking forward to buying my copy of Lardcore for the PS4/5
I wish I'd of known about the kickstarter. I only found out about about it today. Definitely would've backed! I hope all the original audio clips are kept in. I know some of them probably havent aged well, but its definitely part of the charm of the game!
Yeah definitely I love how dedication and love into this. Of course they’ll still be working on the graphics etc till release. Cannot wait to play on PS4/PS5
No they stated in one of their earlier videos they would continue on with the development whether it succeed or not. Think they said so in their very first video. They have been working on this since 2018 so I’m glad they didn’t just stop and ended the development
Same. I absolutely love Hogs of War it’s still one of my all time favourite games. I grew up with the PS one version. Loving how Lardcore is looking so far and how much dedication and love the team are putting into it. Day one for me when they eventually release the game onto PS4/PS5 and would also get the game physically if they do a physical especially if there’s multiple editions for it
I still hope that we'll get a few new things here and there. I always loved the story-mode for being able to be a little bit tactical with your approach. Aka you earned promotions and could hand them out to get specific equipment or health-upgrades. The Multiplayer however I have always felt.. lacks that interesting aspect. It feels like you pick what you want and once the match is over, nothing matters. It would be quite nice to have a promotion-system in Multiplayer too or a bit more of a 'leaned onto singleplayer - Multiplayer' in the form of territories that one can attack and try to conquer. But most importantly, I would love to see the addition of some more random-aspects added to the campaign. That we have the option to play a campaign on random maps with ever growing enemy-strength but it's not a pre-determined team for that map. But rather.. Somewhat random with increasing strength. Just some extra replayability onto the basic-gameplay loop for both singleplayer and Multiplayer would be nice, so that if you replay the singleplayer: It always feels fresh. And if you replay the Multiplayer: There's always more than just playing a random battle with no big meaning besides the fun of it. Otherwise: I am super glad to see that this game isn't dead but actually has someone work on it~ Keep on pushing!
Appreciate the ideas & feedback soldier! Some good thoughts in there for sure, getting the game working with online multiplayer is the biggest focus, other game modes and future DLC/updates is on our radar but for now we must finish what was in the original and then build from there! Plenty more to come my dear hog! Cheers for the support! :)
@@hogsofwarlardcore That is actually a very pleasant and promising thing to hear. I feel a lot of games nowdays fall short after their release because they do not offer any reason to keep on playing. If this is actually something you are writing down as a possibility, I think it could offer such a nice bit of replayability. I myself have done a couple of lets plays of hogs of war back in the day and it used to be my very first project back then. Actually having some things that you cannot 100% predict as not everything is completely the same is a beautiful thing. Before your response came I dwelled on my comment for a bit. You would know better if something like this is possible for you but I think something that would make this game a lot greater in it's reach while still keeping the core elements exactly as they were.. Could be a special multiplayer mode that leans onto the Style that the singleplayer campaign was portrayed but with a twist. The idea is a mode that allows the players to select their Faction of pigs and wage war against each other on something similar to the campaign map. Every player gets a turn to move their "teams/or team of hogs" to 'attack a new bit of land' on an island and try to push forward. Holding areas, gives Promotions to the player who holds it, while holding a full island with all territories on it gives you a bonus for it. Players who are far behind could get a ingame-way of catching up with promotions by going to specialized droppoints, that then drop a promotion for them to collect to catch up with their own ranks and promotions. At the beginning of the game, the host can choose how many Territories an Island holds lets say 1-5 and the amount of islands.. lets say.. 1-10 to determine how long this 'war-mode' actually lasts. If it's a short or a long game. WIth more islands and territories obviously taking longer to conquer and to wrap up the game. This would all look like the campaign-map looked back then. With your team advancing (even though it was just to connect the levels) to the next territory, capture it to rule the entire map. But this time instead of the enemy team just being pre-defined level stages, it's another player who has his own starting-part of the world map and tries to capture the other players territories back and defend his own in actual in-game matches where the promotions come into play. I think the hardest part besides actually getting this twist on the Campaign and Multiplayer to work, would be balancing. If every player just has one singular team and he can just choose every territory that they want to attack, or if you can have multiple and you'll have to choose which team of 5 pigs you now want to spend your promotions on. A bit of a long text again. But yes, this is the idea that came to my mind. It would expand the game a lot in terms of what can be done and what the audience can do while not moving away from the actual core-gameplay or design/engine and give it more strategy, while also giving people a reason to want to get their friends in on it to play with them. You are doing awesome work. Again, your reply was great. Get the base game working and then think about expanding it. I am just glad that the chance of expanding on it and allowing it to reach a wider audience is actually being considered for the future of this. While I usually don't hop onto kickstarters, if you shall ever do another one of them, I will hop on-board for it.
