Vanessa, you are wonderful and very well prepared. You are a strong, smart woman and should be proud of how well you are prepared to take care of yourself and family.
Vanessa dear you are competent enough preparing your self for worse cinario it to good to know about materials what kind you have andwhat what is need it's very necessary to know about fire extinguisher work are not keep it up regards
Thx Vanessa for another great video. It is so good to see you so strong and positive after your problems over the last couple years. Keep the information coming. T-man
As usual, an amazing and informative video. If you don't mind, I would like to offer a bit of information regarding flashlights and lighting. If you can find them cheaply, buy a couple of old school flashlights. The ones that use light bulbs and not L.E.D. technology. The reason being should we experience some sort of E.M.P., your LED lights will likely be worthless. Old school tungsten filament bulbs will likely still work. Buy a few backup bulbs as well as they tend to be more fragile then LED lights. Of course, have batteries on hand.
Once again you have made a very informative video for anyone who maybe hiking, camping, or surviving alone after a catastrophe. All of these items are beneficial to make living without electricity, or gas service. Your tent stove needs rust removal; before it starts to disintegrate. There is a rust removal spray here in the U.S. that not only removes rust, it is made from all natural ingredients with no harsh chemicals. It can also be used to loosen rusty parts, and fasteners. Once I find it, I'll send you the name, plus info.
Good quick run-through video on kit and it looks your well covered by everything, and there must be at least something there that will help someone. Its good to see you looking good 👍. Owen. ❤️Vanessa.
Vanessa, that's crazy! I don't believe spending so much money on a house. A house can be blown away, washed away, burned by wildfires, destroyed by Earthquake and War. All my money is on equipments that I could put in a bug-out-bag. What did our great grandparents do in the old days? What did the pioneers do back in the old days? Do you know how much money you'll save just by replicate those techniques? They didn't have cars but horse and buggy but today we have bicycles. We'll get exercise and save hundreds of dollars from going to the gym. We have crank radios, we have crank flashlights. We could install a dynamo on the wheels of a bicycle. People should stop crying and get an umbrella to get out of the rain. So much craziness.
Thank you, I really enjoy how much information that you give to help people, just in case. The "just in case" may turn into reality soon...Looking forward to the food part of it all, which ties in with fuel (cooking).
Always look forward to times when I can appreciate your work Vanessa. Hope you are not pushing yourself too much and taking care of your health. An over active mind can be just as draining as an overactive body. With three kids, UA-cam, writhing, running a farm and God knows what else, you may not get much time for yourself, but you should take the opportunities when available. I appreciate the likes of AcDc and Greta Van Fleet (a certain Lady has me hooked to those amazing kids) , but try listening to a bit of relaxing Chopin, Enya, Natue Therapy Ocean sounds or your own asmr, if you are not able to get outdoors, and solitary meditation 🧘♀️ is just not the thing for the moment. You look pretty as always though :-)
Young lady, I hope and pray that you and the rest of your family, friends, acquaintances, and so on are doing well, so far this year? It grieves me and probably others that understand, that you all could be facing another European conflict, and for once, it's not Germanys fault. Thankfully. Just keep your faith and hope and pray this idiocy gets over soon?
Some suggestions: 1- LED lanterns with rechargeable batteries (AA, AAA, 18350), they work really well and can last you a long time. 2- In the kitchen take a look at "Tao burner", really good for grilling with charcoal/wood 3- A slow burner (Siméo tce610), It will save you a lot of fuel 4- A good cooler, it can work keeping the hot (for cooking) or the cold.
Pretty woman it is not very cold yet here in southern Utah, barley below freezing. I baught a glass lantern looking thing that l put a good sized candle 🕯️ in it and put a small metal bucket over the top. It is to warm In my 15 degree sleeping bag. It is just below the level of the bed. I love your relaxing videos. Be safe 💝
⚘️You are a beautiful woman! 🦊💚🦊 Thank you for this information 🌷! I missed this Autumn hiking (in the Canada Rocky Mountains) because of a broken ankle/foot. 🙄 I hope to do snow shoeing this Winter here, near Calgary. God Bless & protect you & yours , & all EU - from the EVIL of putin's INSANITY!!!
Thank you Vanessa for the education on the equipment that is awesome I hope you have a wonderful night and a wonderful weekend stay happy stay safe 🦊🏆🌺👍✌️
Hi Vanessa! Thanks for putting together this video. It is smart of you to have all this on an upper floor in case of flooding during a crisis situation. Lots of interesting stuff you have. I'm a big prepper as well. Been camping since I was 12 years old. I'm much older now. 😉. I really enjoy all your videos. You work so hard to produce so many and we appreciate that. I love your accent. It's very sweet. We in America love the European accent. It's very sexy dare I say. 😍 Have a great evening. PS, Aika looks happy!
Hey Nicholas! Thank you for your nice comment! There is a creek trough my garden, but the house is high enough to have no flood problem. Glad you like my accent 😃
Hi Vanessa, another great video. I really appreciate your honesty about the products, but more importantly I can see you are person that likes good quality, so your recommendations means alot. Whilst I thinking the prepping is great, I am wondering what happened to the horse?
WE now live in a day and time when even basic survival preparedness requires a plethora of high-priced gadgets that are constantly changing/updating. I can neither afford, nor do I have the patience to try to keep up with all the latest-greatest changes. I guess you could say that I am still “old school” because I keep warm in winter by simply rubbing my two legs together real fast !!!
I've been following you for quite a while. You're very honest, thorough and care about your viewers. You want people to pick the best product for themselves, do things that benefit themselves. Hope you had a great Christmas and Happy New Year. Btw, who's using the camera?
you should have a rubber hammer next to a fire extinguisher. bang it on bottom of extinguisher so the powder breaks loose and it will work then. what happens is the powder settles and becomes stuck in the bottom. the rubber hammer fixes that. the you can put out the fire. if you don't do it? only air comes out.
Hello again Vanessa, Have you thought about small a wind turbine which could provide extra power in the winter ,most small turbines only need a wind speed of about 1 meter per second to charge a battery Via a controller,a small turbine wind vanes are about 8o cm to 1 meter in diameter and the wind can Blow 24/7, some food for thought . Stay safe Rusty 😇🦘🦘
Fantastic video! You've really gathered quite a collection of gear. Sadly, I suspect that you're going to need to use a lot of that in the coming months. You're smart and will get through what Europe is going through right now. Keep up the great work with your videos!
Thanks Vanessa for this great video! And of course I'm looking forward to the next videos on this theme. You already started this "Be prepaird" theme in the spring, yes ? Coincidentally, at the same time, a shocking war broke out, which is still going on. Now the knowledge-skill advice of people like you is needed. Wishing you all the best! ❤😃❤🦊
Another great video as always. I really love that rocket stove. That is the best one I have seen. With all that insulation inside it must work great. Looking forward to the next video, especially the one on medical. Not many people talk very much about that. Take care and stay safe.
Love your videos, well thought out and tested. A quick spelling correction for you. Equipment has a p not a t. I know your Bavarian so just a light correction. Another thing, I’m an Aussie in australia and some things won’t work here as well as we’re less worried about cold and more worried about heat. Hehe You may want to add to look at your local conditions.
Hi Vanessa, I noticed you are working harder on your videos again. Just wondering if it is because you got a horse. I have had horses all of my life and I know they are expensive to keep. I raise cattle in California we can’t work without them they are a tool around the ranch.
Get so use to just watching your videos but would like to tell you how good your English is now as it easy to forget that your native tongue is German. You have a lot of gear and as you say it cost a lot of money, but over the years of looking forward to what you need a plan to get what you may need future is the best way to start. A lot of people could not afford to think that way in the UK but I'm fairly sure their going to have to start. All good info though Vanessa. Arthur (UK)
Keep in mind , preparedness at home didn’t have to be expensive ( Modestly) during the last hurricane, the power was out for 4 days , I broke out my bugout bag , alcohol cooker, solar panel , and flash light was all I really used ,
You can clean the rust off your stoves and then treat the metal with vinegar to “Blue” the metal and prevent rust , when you use the generator, you can charge batteries usually at the same time as you use power tool that use a lot of energy , kinda get a double use at the same time
I have been following you for quite a few years now and as always I find your videos knowledgeable and informative, I have gained a lot from the information you put out from tools to equipment and I love that you are so truthful about what really works for you and what doesn’t..I cannot thank you enough for the things you’ve taught me and as always Much Love and Respect my friend!
Hej från Sverige. I have been watching your vids for quite a while now and got some good tips. Could i ask you what types of weapons do you have to defend yourself if you had intruders into your home if SHTF time ? I am preparing myself for this crisis and have been storing stuff for many years, I have many Mora knives and a recurve bow and even some home made catapults just in case.
Slimy fire fighting = " aqueous" (fire fighting foam) "Exhaust" is smell that comes out of a car "tail pipe" " not an advertising bitch" this made me smile and realize your keep your videos "real". Great video once again Vanessa, but why are you always promoting Fleshlight? I mean, i guess it could be considered a nice preparedness tool, but it is not really for women 🤣
Vanessa the generator as your sad uses 4 L per 4 hours that is means it uses 1 L per hour 24 hours = 24L x 2EUR = 48EUR per day. In the video you said 84EUR. Other wise great videos.
