I totally agree so many people just open it up and talk about the items (sometimes not even taking them out of the wrappers) and then the video ends and you never know if the kit really is as good as they say or if they are just novelty items that the company hopes is never really used.

@@markgrehan3726 The youtubers are also super annoying... they act like they are experts and show zero experiences. What is even worse is they have some cult of personality following that thinks the youtuber is a god at everything when that is clearly not the case.

It looks like the most important thing missing was a sleeping bag. The emergency blanket is extremely noisy and it seems it would draw attention to your location if you dared move. Thank you for putting your body through this experience so that we can benefit and learn from it, Vanessa.

A few things to consider when running except from an immediate threat. It' makes an easily followed trail. Noise. And a person could easily run INTO danger from an enemy if they are sitting quietly. Unlees seen, stealth is better than spead. But granted, there are times to run. There will be times to hide. And there will be times to fight. Along with hunting, fishing, and foraging for plants, a person will be very busy.

I like the layout of the bag with smaller packs for easy access but like most comments here, I would take some items out and add others that are not included. The bright orange straps would have to go. That pack made in green earthy tones and non reflective would be something I would prefer.

Hi Vanessa, those Mylar space blankets will block out infrared binoculars at night. I use plastic peanut butter jars for first aid, one for fire starters, and one miscellaneous items. You can see what's in them. I'll bet most people can put a basic bugout bag together just with the stuff they have around the house.🤔

Excellent fictional production of a "what if" scenario. With 83 million of your fellow Germans facing the same fictional trouble, how many would be making their way to the forest, and how many would "shelter in place" in the cities and villages? Germany is about the size of the US state of Texas, but with three times the population of Texas, so finding a place to be alone and safe might not be so easy. Hopefully, people would come together in cooperative groups, share their skills, and help one another, rather than panic and become "lone wolves." Your RINO pack looked well-organized, with some useful tools and materials inside. I would add a few things to personalize it - some kind of compact bivy bag to sleep in would be good. The messer seemed adequate for survival and bushcraft work, as well as for defensive use. Here in the US, many would add some kind of firearm to the gear for protection. Well done, Vanessa. High quality video!

Right now you can only imagine such a thing and what it might be like. When and if that really happens, you'll no doubt discover what you couldn't have planned for if anything. Don't fear the one that can destroy your body, fear the one that can destroy the person or spirit and soul that you really are and that's inside the body.

Nice emergency bag Vanessa👌 Minimum gear but you can add what you need later after testing. I would change the orange color on it to black with a marker or dye, too easy to spot orange in the woods. Easy to find what you need with the individual labeled interior pouches. Remembering it's for emergency use and only for a short period of time, this could be adequate for a quick get away. Nice demo of evading a chaos scenario, never know when it's coming. Thanks for this series of videos, well done.

Great video!! The style and concept of how you tell the story really draws you in. I love how you are taking a store bought bag, that is ready to go (more or less), and then put it into action to see what really works and what doesn't. I liked how it was set up with easily identifiable bags for different components, but agree that bright orange would give you away to someone who knows that movement is what draws attention and with that color moving through a neutral colored forest/wooded section, your chances of getting caught go up significantly!!
I especially want to commend you on how you stressed the importance of needing water, rest, and food in maintaining your abilities to think and act rationally in an emergency! That was outstanding on your part!!!
Looking forward to more videos of yours, as always. And even though, I know it was creative writing, filming and editing, it broke my heart to see the final scene of you running, falling, covering yourself in a protective manner, fade to black, and then the gun shots... 😢
    Gott segne from the USA.

(3). Trash those Mylar blankets, get a good poncho liner/“woobie”.

Actually, the bag is sufficient. User lack of experience, knowledge, & awareness will make any gear useless and ineffective. There was plenty of food & water. Hydration was there you restrained yourself from using it. The bedding... yes! You had gloves to use to forage more layers of tree leaves, the rule is at least a foot to 18 inches in thickness,(the ground condition will dictate), barriers around your bedding area - plenty of rocks seem to abound in and around the cave. The Mylar blanket or e-blanket... now that piece of gear is battle-tested or proven in the field. Silver touches the body - the key is heat reflection- it was a user error on your part. Weapon... yes knife is a close-quarter fight, not good, but you can make a spear to create distance and a baton supported by your strong hand when the spear is spent & it's time for the nitty-gritty part of the fight. The outcome will depend on your willingness to kill of course. A very expensive gear set and it failed you. Also, it was very apparent from the beginning that your mental status was degraded from the word go, you allowed "FEAR", and paranoia enveloped your mind. NOT good. Relax and assess your surrounding. Your reaction to immediately run or flight from little noises will surely catch attention or be quickly noticed. Settle down, seek defilade and observe the direction of the disturbance. Egress slowly and with intent. This video exemplified failed attempt to survive if you lack experience in a real survival situation. All I got from this presentation is you sure have a lot of money to buy expensive gear and how it will fail. On a good note... your cinematic, video composition, and aerial shots were great! The RINO gear bag is a mix of low and middle-end gear items- it was the packaging concept they exploited. They priced it too high to lure consumers and make them believe that it's intended for privileged people only. Guess No-Go on RINO?

I had similar reflection. It was too much relay and dependency on the backpack itself like if it was some magical tool to do everything instead of us.

Well thanks to your colleague Jorge , I was introduced to your channel
I must tell you your escape and survive video is brilliant!
The back pack was some ones good effort , but pack your own bag
And ditch the velcro ! It will give your position away for sure ,
When you have to run then run
But most times its better to move swiftly but with stealth like a big black cat
Hehe, I'm sure you can do that ,
Use natural cover , walk in the shadows
Stay away from open spaces ,
    Above all survive !
    Great channel ,well done ,

Your videos are always interesting and informative. Not many people like to think about the possibility of having to leave their homes in an emergency situation, but it's always a good idea to have an escape plan and to practice bugging out from time to time.

i think the tent and emergency blankets are designed to work together to provide layers of thermal air pockets. Also the emergency blankets perform best when just draped over you ... they do not work so well when wrapped tightly around you.

Yes. They require a 'dead air gap' in order to be fully effective. Contact with the body will speed up heat loss through conduction at each point of contact.

Hi , the bug out back pack is a good basic but needs personal assessment which the brand maker would probably agree , there were some other issues in the video to look at that were serious and should have been avoided examples,
Going down stone and dirt hill banks , you can rupture kit and clothing or be injured.
The cave would be a known spot , the best place would be by running water 💧 .
After physical excursion of the day its important to put your body into recovery by eating and drinking, to get your body stamina strength going.
Moving at night is a no go if your being hunted , torch light would be seen for miles.
I liked the video for the attempted situation of a complete country breakdown.
    Vanessa ♡♡♡ .
    Your running is good.

Just for reference one you had found the overhang go to the back dig a body length hole 12 inches deep. Once the sun starts down gather your leaves and once dark crawl in the leaf filled hole cover you body with leaf clutter and pull the limbs in front of you. Do not leave until mid morning. LRRP rules!

Thank you for the scenario and the demonstration of the items in the ready made kit.
Most of all thank you for the incredible effort and all the energy you expended in this production too entertain your subscribers.....bravo 👏.
I agree about your analysis of this kit and suggest people add a wool blanket at the very least , and you could carve a wooden spear/ walking stick for added security/defense.
In conclusion I would also add that you are truly a wild woman, and I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery.
    Cheers from fans in Canada.

any escape bag with neon orange stripes is to be avoided. that said, it seemed to be a solid pack if you know how to use it. headlamp should have included a red light feature to help you avoid light detection.

Dear Vanessa, you have the wonderful gift to tell the story and keep the viewer on the edge of their seat. It is a great video with drama, education, compelling music and wonderful composition. It also shows the difficulty of trying to survive alone with no support. Essential gear and practice is absolutely critical for one to survive in such and "Emergency"... well spoken .:) Thank you for your hard work. It is a pleasure to watch and learn from your experiences. All the Best, Francis.

Vanessa, I like the video that you clearly worked very hard on. You did a great job with it! One thing I want to ask is at least one episode where you deal with a situation similar to your own. You are showing us a solo bugout, which is great if you happen to actually be solo. In your case, as is the case with millions of other people, they are not solo. They have a spouse to think about. They have kids to think about. In a crisis situation, a mother is not running away from her kids but is running toward them. Bugging out with kids is extremely difficult, if not impossible. Kids don't know anything about being quiet, staying stealthy, and living with nothing when their whole lives these days revolve around mobile devices that require power. Kids are going to lose their minds in a crisis situation because they won't have any of their devices to distract them. So I'd like to see you address this issue because it's actually your issue. It's what you will personally have to deal with if Europe has a major crisis. I'm not sure how you could film such a video, but it's important to discuss what happens when the home is no longer safe and the woods is the only option left. How do you deal with the kids? Do they have anything packed? How do you walk away from all of your supplies at home? This episode would be one that most would want to watch because it deals with the entire family and not just a solo person.
