Hi Karen, I had tried paint but, mine still dried white - so added more paint less spackel compound it came out a bit more pink but, still not as pink as I wanted in the small container it was really pink - so I tried a new idea - I started over and added 1 teaspoon of the spackling compound to 2 drops of ranger distress oxide re - inker ( dusty rose) oh my goodness!! Gorgeous !! Perfect blush color - So I made a small container using about the same measurements and keep different colors in tiny mason jars for different projects. I first saw - Heather @RubyandPearlxo (she is fantastic) She learned it from her friend Angie - about 2 years ago. Definitely a game changer out with the modeling paste !! You are so correct it drys in seconds especially on book page & just adds such a fantastic detail to any project 🌸🍃enjoy your evening
OH thats a great idea too .... YES I love the spackle ... not to mention you get 10 times the amount for the same price vs the ranger paste... good idea on the distress oxide ... glad you got the right color .. I would love to see yours..
I use the same one as you do. I bought it at dollar tree. Great price. This was maybe a year ago. I haven’t tried it with mixing paint in it. But I will now. Great idea. I learned it from Ruby and Pearl xo I love to use this in journals. I agree with you on the consistency. I love it. Glad you did a video 💋❤️🙏🏽

I purchased spackle, but I accidentally purchased texture paste from Liquitex and opened it first. I also heard about the spackle last year on a video. I love how yours came out with the paint. I just received some stencils from Amazon and I don’t have modeling paste but I found a small container of Spackling in the garage and because of your video, I am going to give it a try. I’m new at this kind of art journaling so I’m looking forward to using the stencils with Spackle. I have loads of journals that I just write in with the odd sketch I did, but now I’m starting to get into using stickers, paper, glue and painting. So thank you for the tip with stencils. ♥️

I use light weight spackle for all my crafts like making sundaes fake cupcakes and many more..I use temtra powder paints so it won't get watery or you can use mica powder also colors comes out very fabulous you'll love the results.. but I learn something beautiful today on stenciling!! Love it. ❤❤

Thank you for this video! I went immediately to Walmart and they had a 16oz of $6! Can’t wait to use it, I recently bought some beautiful Paris stencils and I’ve been trying to figure out what are other ways to use them.
No, never knew to use Spackle paste, but, makes sense. Concerned about the caution, and inhaling it after my journalling is complete. The dust is harmful.

I looked that up and there is no harm .. it doesn't have a smell and it has no fumes and it dries as a hard form.
