Absolutely the BEST tutorial I’ve watched. You explained each step, fast forwarded repetitive steps and didn’t waffle! Loved it. Thank it. Will now have a go.
This video just popped up in my feed & caught my eyes !! I love working with Pastes to create a 3D look & this type of flower design is my ABSOLUTE favorite, only bad thing is I 💯 STINK at drawing lol. But my sister is excellent with drawing just about anything, so I have her do the drawing on freezer paper or any paper like that where I can then transfer the drawing onto by canvas. Now, as for my sister, although excellent with drawing, does have trouble with using the paste to go outline her drawings so I have been trying to teach her some tips with that. But I have to say, this video is AMAZING with your instruction & demonstration & I feel will help her WAY more than me trying to explain things to her which typically happens over the phone making it even more difficult. So, I think this video will help her tremendously !!! You absolutely made perfect sense in your explanations & points you were making. I was very surprised after watching this that you mentioned it was your very 1st time !!! You did an amazing job in all areas & I am definitely sending this video to my sister with strict instructions to pay very close attention lol, especially when you use your wet brush to smooth your lines & create some detail to your petals, that is a big area that my sister struggles with & she makes her outlines very thick (I'm guessing she makes the hole in the bag much too big & therefore gets some really thick lines & then isn't able to "wet brush" them properly enough to help. So, sorry for such a long boring comment but I did want to say THANK YOU for creating this video & you did a great job explaining everything & your piece turned out great as well. Most definitely would have NEVER imagined it was your 1st !!! Thank you again, I subbed & look forward to watching sone of your previous videos & look foward to all new. Great video, Happy Creating & wishing you a very happy New Year !!! ☺️☺️🩵🩵🩵
Thank you so much. Another great tutorial, and you shswered a question I wondered about in a future tutorial you made I watched before this on, where you were making palate flowers! ( : I had seen on pinterest a cheap way to make a base for palette flowers or trimming/painting with textured paint (like in this tutorial) whether using spackle/grout would be a good base to mix your colored heavy acrylics into. And, apparently bit is, because you answered my question in this video! Yayyyyyyy! ( : Thank you again! ( : I love your art! ( :
Wow, this is beautiful! Have you ever heard of Tanja Mundt, she does fantastic artwork similar to this, but with a hot glue gun. She cant be bothered with video making as she says she always makes a mess, so she showed her ways of doing this type of art to Heather Mader - please look them both up, its beautiful art work - very much worth it.
Thank you so much for this brilliant tutorial! I love art, and I've always wanted to try something exactly like this, but don't have the skills. However, having watched this (in the early hours of Tuesday, 8/8/23!), I feel confident enough to now give it a go! Best wishes from Ayrshire in Scotland! 🏴 🇦🇺 xx
Bello en felicidades, que costaría un tutorial de estos para aprender, he visto muchos, pero no mensionan materiales, uno q no sabe inglés, quisiéramos entender, y lista de materiales. Gracias, éxitos, bendiciones, desde Honduras.
Gorgeous art! I would like to try a big flower art with textured paint for the first time. What type of paste do you suggest to buy for beginners like me? There are so many different kinds available.
Hi, may I know if there is only a specific surface that this art making will work? I plan to do it on an old painting, kinda override it but I dont know if it will stick and stay on there.
Toujours super, Ma,question ou trouver votre dessin de fleurs ? A chaque fois que j’essaye de faire ce genre de fleurs sur ma toile, ça ne ressemble pas à une fleur même avec papier carbone pour décaler 🤔 Merci 😘
I LOVE this piece of art, and, loving roses as I do, I would be delighted to be able to create this. Thank you for this video that gives the mixture ingredients as well as the step-by-step tutorial. That particular texture paste is as much to ship as it is to buy in the USA, making it cost-prohibitive for me, unfortunately. My question is, what is the difference between texture paste and modeling paste? Thank you in advance.
If you haven't gotten an answer to your question yet, I'm very late to the game & just stumbled across this video, but I am in the US & do work with Paste in my art. I have used both Red Devil & DAP & both work very well. I find adding some white acrylic paint to the paste & mixing it prior to using, gives it a nice creamier feel making it easier tonwork with & rarely if ever experienced any cracking. I've also seen others add a bit of US Floetrol to it also to give it a more smooth/creamy texture without causing any breakdown or other issues. If you don't already, try checking out AB Creative UA-cam channel, I get a lot of inspiration for her also. She also uses a hot glue gun to create outlines & creatw images on a silicone mat & the dry glue peels right off & she applies it to her canvas which I found very cool but haven't attempted yet. Sorry for wasting your time if you've already gotten all the info you needed, I realize it's been several months but just thought I'd mention my experience with Pastes that work well for me. Happy New Year & happy creating !!! ☺️☺️☺️
@@jro9365 Well, "late in the game"....guilty here in getting back to you. I am in the USA also. I did not get a response, so I appreciate your taking the time to respond to me with helpful information. I have followed AB Creative for some time now (fine minds think alike!) I always learn something from her fascinating tutorials. Did you see the one with the lizard in which she used floetrol to create cells that looked like lizard skin? I also learned that there is a difference between Astralian and American floetrol. (Better cells are achieved with the Australian.) Not a waste of time at all! Thanks so much for replying!🙂
You're very welcome. I haven't seen her Lizard video. I mostly love her floral work & the piece she created with the Dove(I think it'sa Dove lol), but those are my favorites that she does. I use the Aussie floetrol also but usually only when I'm doing the Bloom technique. I keep a bottle of the US & Aussie Floetrol on hand at all times. You can also get great natural cells using Amsterdam brand paints mixed with just water only. Also adding a metallic color in with your color palette (any brand of acrylics) will also create natural cells. I've been pouring for about 6 years now & have learned just about every technique out there over the years. I even made an Ocean Wave with the Paste that turned out really well !! The paste also works great with Stencils & I sometimes just "pre color" my paste using whatever color I choose right to the paste & mix it up before spreading it over the stencil & it works great & also gives it a more 3D look & saves me from having to paint the paste once it's dry. I love to experiment with different ways of doing things & different products. My good friend Tracie Reed has a UA-cam Channel & a Facebook group both called Acrylic Pouring with Friends. She's really nice & we became friends through pouring. She also designs & creates A LOT of 3D printed pouring tools that are really cool. Designer Gemma 77 is another of my favorite Artists on UA-cam, she does some really amazing work that is great fir any skill level & a lot of times she just uses ordinary household products that we all have laying around the house & creates some really cool artwork with them. She makes these "one stroke" flowers with a round tip paint brush that turn out amazing. Also, does some pretty amazing work with Chain Pulls. Definitely worth checking out if you havent already !!! 😊😊😊 @pegberthold3988
Guys guys guys should I colour my paste in acrylic paint before doing the texture or should I make the texture then paint everything in acrylic paint after
If you are in the US, you can purchase regular spackling paste from just about most larger stores that have a section for Home repair items & of course any harware store like Home Depot, Lowes, Menards etc. I typically use Red Devil Pre Mixed Vinyl Spackling Paste & just add some white acrylic paint to help make it smoother/creamier consistency & it works great for Art projects like this as well as Stencil designs. If I know what color I want to use for the project I'm working on I just add the color of acrylic paint right to the paste, mix it really well using enough of the color to get the shade right since the white paste will of course lighten the color of the paint added. I also use pigment/mica powders with the paste & that wirks great also. Hope this helps in case you haven't already found the answers to your question. Just saw this video pop up in my feed a few hours ago so I'm late to the show. Lol. Anyway, Happy New Year & happy creating to you !!!! ☺️☺️☺️
Thanks for showing this beautiful picture, the technique and 'how to' is stunning. Thankyou😊

Is gesso or anything similar applied to the canvas before the mixture is applied?
I bought acrylic texture paste by Dala. What do I add to it to make sculpture paste

What PVA glue do you use? I’ve been having a hard time finding some or just one bottle.
Can you add acrylic paint to the compound mixture?
Very cool!
This technique is actually like cookie decorating called royal icing embroidery.
i'm so glad you said this! i'm a baker and now i'm remembering what to do! thank you both!!!
cant u use texture paste with out the first thing u added to it? can u colour it so it isnt white on the first round
Yes
so pretty. can you use modelling paste or texture paste on it's own?
If you are in the US & still need any questions answered, I can help you. ☺️☺️☺️
What kind of glue are you adding?
Voglio provare, ❤
Can this be used on a wall?
Hi where do we find the reference picture for the flower
I want to try this but add acrylic paint color to my mixture
You can definitely mix acrylic paints through the textured paste
Where did you get your flower template?
This is beautiful.
can u use a diff plaster like plaster of paris?
How did you draw the flower ?
What kind of paste ur use
Guys guys guys should I colour my paste in acrylic paint before doing the texture or should I make the texture then paint everything in acrylic paint after
❤❤❤❤
You could have turned it upside down so you could rest your hand
You could use hot glue too
Would plaster Paris do the same thing?
Yes
No. It’ll dry way too fast.
Can work as you will work little by little.....
It might crack
Mix it with Elmer school glue to slow drying time and prevent cracks
What’s the pva glue
Lo puedo poner en Español gracias, gracias gracias
What are the ingredients used and what wise I can use that’s easily available
Are you in the US, if so, I can help you. ☺️☺️☺️
Do you have a template of the flower you used?
I just free hand drawn the flower
Having trouble understanding you. It would be helpful if you showed each container label that you’re using.
Exactly, a how to would be helpful with the ingredients 😮
Hola tu vídeo hermoso te pido traducción aunque sea escrita gracias gracias

If you are in the US & still need any answers I can help you ☺️☺️
@tequila1952 If you are in the US & have any questions about this technique I can help you ☺️☺️☺️
O solo seria para personas en inglés, gracias.
Desde Honduras.
You could have just turned the canvas to do the top so the centre wouldn’t be in the way.
