I *truly* enjoy my morning yoga ritual of Yoga With Adriene ! I've tried several of her videos for relaxation, sleeping, etc. I'm new to this one, and I'm loving it. Although I'm not focused on the scale, I chose this video because of the strengthening sequence. I'm currently focused on strengthening my core in my body movement rituals right now. I know that a strong core helps me with posture, walking, running, dancing and more. This video has me using those muscles in a way that feels good to my whole being! Thank you Adriene. Your energy is awesome!

9 years ago I started a yoga weight loss journey here on ywa, I successfully lost 180 pounds, got extremely fit, flexible, and balanced. But life caught up to me and I’m back at my heaviest weight. Been doing the beginner 40 minute videos for about two weeks and just tried this one, it kicked my ass I sweat more than I thought I could, I had to pause I had to modify poses and movements. But I stuck it through and made it to corpse. I get a sense of ease and possibility from these videos I never get on a treadmill 😅

Build, April 6, 2024. I think I did this one last year, feels familiar anyway. Yet again, I inwardly groaned at the longer practice and the more difficult poses, which put me off doing yoga on a daily basis. But I put all the hesitancy aside and stuck with it. Wasn't all pretty, but I am happy with myself for just doing it. Congrats to everyone on the 2024 series and beyond! 🎉🎉🎉

This was part of the April 2020 calendar and one month into New York states "Pause"due to the COVID-19 virus. Yeah, dude. It's rough. My approach has been the "Life is Beautiful" game; knowing but consciously playing. Crosswords and Novels, Yoga and just stepping outside by day, and movies and binge watching old T.V. favorites by night. Dream journals, guitar, etc. This too shall pass, but not for a long fucking time. Ugh. Reading your message made me feel less crazy, so here's to hoping for the reverse. :)

I hope I can help. I've been doing yoga for over a year at this point. At first it was pretty uncomfortable, but after awhile I seemed to notice it hurting less. I had been exercising for a couple of hours before attempting this practice video. I have to say the breath is what got me through this. I'm starting to understand why focusing on the breath is influenced so much. My heart rate got really elevated halfway through due to my fatigue, but I was able to calm my mind and body just by taking long deep breaths, suddenly everything flowed so well. I could feel the challenge still, but I was calm through it all. :)

I started doing yoga with Adriene a few weeks ago because I started to get very bored during this quarantine, and obviously could not go to a gym to workout. Needless to say, practicing yoga almost everyday with a new video has done wonders for my physical and mental health. For as little as 20 minutes a day, to maybe a bit longer, getting in my yoga with Adriene has been amazing. It's the perfect way to clear my head at the beginning of each day, but also gives me the confidence to work my best at treating my body with respect and love. This is an amazing way to get exercise, and also practice mindfullness. Thank you adriene, you are amazing!

Checking in for Build Day 6 (April '24)! That kicked my butt and though I struggled to catch my breath at time, I super happy I stuck with it. The rock to a sit was almost a fail for me, laughingly I kept trying and made it!

I've done this sequence 3 times now after finishing "30 days of yoga". Still can't do a crow pose but the rest is lovely. That 30 day practice was the perfect foundation. I added a few bits at the end too - free style. Wonderful!

Have been with Adrienne for over a year now and found this video fun and refreshing. Since I am pretty well versed in the ebb and flow of Yoga with Adrienne I can work in extra movements while she explains each pose. It is, also, good to have a refresh tutorial. Finally, I succeeded with my crow after a 2 year struggle. Got up there for a whole 4 seconds. Well it's a start!

Really enjoyed myself with this practice! I'm getting back into yoga after a hiatus due to school and work, and I'm also training for a half marathon and I've been dutifully doing my exercises, but been feeling very sore and resentful. I took your words to the beginning of the video to heart and really tried to refresh and despite being still very sore, remembered why I loved yoga so much in the first place.

Man oh man adriene! Tough workout. But I made it through, with a few rests. :-) I'm overweight (250 lbs) so this was tough for me. I've lost 12 lbs since I started dieting and doing yoga though (about a month ago). Anyways, I'm gonna feel this tomorrow, but it was a good workout. I'm yawning now lol. You are truly an inspiration. Since I've started doing your yoga videos, you're.my only.instructor :-)

Beka H I've lost 80lbs to date with yoga. I have severe nerve damage in my lower abdomen so I typically do gentle or basic beginner yoga And avoid any positions that will aggravate the damage. I have found that yoga not only helps me lose weight but also has given me more mobility. I hope yoga has helped you as well!

I've been practice with the help of your videos for four months now and I've been noticing how much my body has changed and strengthened. Looking forward to seeing what else my body can achieve in the next four months of practice and beyond!

Thank you Adriene. Please make some videos that are more 'active', for yogis who have been practicing for longer, though I am still really enjoying and learning from your videos. I am quite used to a very intense and active ashtanga practice, and would love some very active ones lead by you! :)

This is the first time I completed a 40 minute YWA video without needing to pause for a break. When adriene said crow pose after the squat I thought for sure I was going to quit. But I kept going (although I have to keep my toes on the ground) and even got through the ab work at the end. I know these videos are years old, but adriene has been a consistent "friend" to me during the pandemic, and I can't thank her enough.
