Thanks for your feedback. I have the Insurgent's brother, a 2022 Wreckoning and am considering moving it into the x-low position to try out. Even in that setting, the BB height is still higher than on my 21' Stumpy trail bike (346mm vs 333mm), so I am not that worried about pedal strikes.
Awesome man! That’s a sick bike! I would definitely give the X-Low a shot if I were you. You can always switch it back, but my guess is you’ll like it better. Let me know how it goes 🤘🏼
Thanks for checking it out!! The SB140 Is probably the Yeti I would want most, but I wouldn’t trade the Insurgent for one personally. That’s a fully unbiased opinion of course 😆.
I use a Pro Bike Tool torque wrench in the video and for all the little tightening bikes need. I got it on Amazon and it wasn’t super expensive, plus came with Allen and torx bits. Only goes to 6 nm though. Hope that helps and thank you for watching 🤘🏼
I have this bike in large on order. Have you changed out the rear shock spring? My ride weight is 235 lbs so I’m thinking about replacing it with higher rated spring.
I haven’t changed the spring yet but I’m going to. I’m about 215 lbs so I’m thinking of going to a 450 or 500# spring. I might actually try both just to see how different amounts of preload affect the ride characteristics. This is the first coil shock I’ve had so I’m looking forward to trying some different things and seeing how they change the dynamics of the bike. Thanks for watching and let me know what you go with and how you like it!
170 crank arms. No pedal strikes yet, but I dont climb singletrack on this bike usually. I did a couple times before I switched it and had some pedal strikes in Low. It’s a low bike so if you’re climbing tech it’ll probably happen a bit either way. Thanks for watching 🤘🏼
@@PunkUncleShow Sorry dude last question - how much do you weigh? I'm 92kg kitted and I'm a bit concerned the stock spring (400lb) is going to be a bit light for me. Can see from the clips you're running a 400lb. I've got a 500lb on my Offering V2.
I’m closer to 97 kg. I’ve got the preload maxed and I’m just getting 30% sag. I’m planning to go up 50lbs on the spring so I don’t have to preload as much. Hoping that makes it even more plush.

Same here my new insurgent is still higher than my V1 offering in low
Great video brother! I’m debating the Evil insurgent or the Yeti SB140. Great band on that shirt too. Love some Strung Out.
Thanks for checking it out!! The SB140

Nice. I have been always wondering about the two settings
X-Low has been my preference in every situation so far. Now when I switch her to the mullet, it’s going to get interesting…
@Punk Uncle Show dude can't wait to see it. I pre ordered my insurgent frame from competitive cyclist last weekend 😎
Nice job. Where is that trail located?
Thanks! That is 007 in Bass Lake, Ca
Thanks for the video. What tool set are you using? I need something easy, but also measures torque. Thanks!

@@PunkUncleShow Thank you! I also moved my chip from low to x-low and what a difference! Hugging corners a lot more now … no washing out yet!
@@dzkilnd right on! 🤘🏼

Thanks for sharing this bro. May I know what’s your cranks length?.. And did you any have pedal strikes after switching to extra low?

Nice video. What size Insurgent are you running? Should get mine in a couple of days, gone for the large, I'm 6"2.
I’m 5’10” riding a large as well. Thanks for watching and congrats on your new whip!
