I was really confused why you had a link for a rapper for about 10 seconds
I have a question... how did you get a wreckoning right now? I work at a shop that is a evil dealer and I can’t even get one until 2022-2023
Ordered mine 8 months ago.
@@VanCan oh that makes a lot of sense hahahaha
they're sold out of everything!! typical bike problems these days.
this forest is amazing
where are these trails?
this is their lunch ride? damn
Was thinking the same thing!
The evil seems to rip! So silent too
I could just imagine Cooper standing on Imonator handing out tickets for not riding the rollercoaster, and I'm in full support of it.
'Sir, do you know how wide the trail you were riding is?'
Respect you've gotten way better than last year
Another awesome video, love how you added the stills in the video. Those jumps don’t look as big on the POV. The still pictures give way more perspective how big you guys are going!
him: I'll let you guess what the D stands for.
me: Derailleur
me two seconds later: wait a minute...
Nick your riding is furious on that bike, I haven't seen that confortable on a bike since I follow the channel
Nick, you really rocked those jumps and that NF crew is fast! It's true - they do make the best gear.
Awesome one footer with that huge forest back drop
Very nice watching a video of someone riding a quiet bike
So much different than my woods in Tennessee. Absolutely beautiful
Hot damn what a beautiful trail!
"Like all influencers" 😂
That sh1t with the chain happened to me in the wreck many times using shimano drivetrain. Switched to sram, never more
Looking right at home on that bike...and those trails look epic up there!
awesome riding.. sweet channel
I'm glad you're starting to use more voiceover in your vid. Keep up the great work!
amazing shots! the Evil is a beast!
Nice still shots of you in the air. 🤘
That is beautiful, I’ve gotta get up there this summer
As soon as the border opens, I'm so there!
Man, I need to get out there. The trail is amazing.
Those cables and hoses. Wild.
Maybe they have a purpose 🧐
Great moves on the jumps, man!
All skinny’s are mandatory on the north shore, “Under penalty of the PinkBike comment section”
I just started mountain biking, but I actually don’t get why people don’t like skinnies??
@@UHFAJonathan Skinny’s are a challenge for some, hard to wrap your head around them. Especially if they are high off the ground, extremely long, or narrow.
Worst feeling ever. Chain gets stuck between chainring and bottom bracket. Happend to me on a trail I was building that was an hour ride from where I parked. I feel your pain
some banger pics there , fun ride
I love your riding style, it gives me chills :)
You´ve gotten way better at corners
Heard Travis had a bad crash? :( Hope he is doing alright. Cool local brand making good product, stoked to see them getting a bigger profile with some riders onboard like Seth Sherlock on the World Cup.
Also echoing other comments your riding has stepped up a notch, good stuff dude.
Oooh ya! nice crunchy content, loved it.
You guys are good. Nice ride!
Do you think you could make a video on how you set your cables like that so the bike is barspin ready? I really want to do this and I know a lot of other people do too but there aren't really any good tutorials out there at the moment.
Will do!
Epic,thx for sharing
I'm so so so jealous, still FatBiking on the East Coast, though I'd guess tomorrow is the last of it!
Nice video :) It is a pity that there are no such long tracks at my home.
0:52 Im literally having the same quick release problem right now
3:23 holy... I almost had an micro heart attack
Nice Trail Bro
Always great content. Good work! What song are you using in your outro? It's smoooooth
also like the enduro, can you take the wreckoning to whistler
Videos looking mint keep it up
When your favorite UA-camr posts
Hey Nic, great video! I was wondering what export/render setting you use?
Can you tell if there's a point to the last knuckle before that new wooden table on the new work on Severed? Is it the backside of a small double from the rollers before? Seems like it makes it really awkward and difficult to get composed for the table.
AWESOME video!!
that is siick!
Goddamn... that was a killers row!!
8:34 Oyster mushrooms growing right from the guys shoulder on the tree
Love the thumb nail
3 months later:
Cracking the evil reconing
my chain got stuck the same way on my optic... took the chain guide off after that.
Somehow you always end up on Boogie Nights haha
Yes.... somehow.
Yesterday's Dale Stone video. Irony of this video title not lost? 🤣 Too soon?
nice content keep it up
The D in Severed D stands for... Doormat
Such a cool place! Whats the cable coming out of the stem?
What do you think of that cable routing? On big landings does it come up in your face or is it locked and flex below the crown? Aloha 🤙
How's the new bike? Looks epic and so do the trails!
Love it
When I am older I want to be just like you VanCan
Hi, awesome videos, and i really have similar taste in bikes as you, but i dont change that often.
Could you make some statements on how the Enduro, Altutude and Wreckogning compare?
Im looking for a new bike as my ¨16 Strive is a bit outdated. Hade some runs on Megatower (fast up but a bit harsh going down) Ransom (really good both up and down, but a bit hesitant to let it all go), Slash (supereffective but a bit harsh, might have had to much air in the shock) Firebird (cant remeber how it climbed but i loved how it felt going downhill) and some other but in my head im leaning towards a Wreckogning or a Firebird. Cant get my hands on an Spesh Enduro, but it seems like it might be a bit to much of a bike, as the trails around here are much up and down.
The wreck isn’t as plush feeling as the enduro, it’s a bit better at jibbing and manuals. Sounds like if you like the firebird and that DH feeling, that would be the bike for you.
@@VanCan Yeh, ill have to save up a bit cause its a pricy bike, and i wanna do a side by side comparison, but it will have to be on unfamiliar trails...
I really want to upgrade from capra shred. But the x01 build is $7,600 dollars. I'd have to sell my s2000 or finance the bike to afford it. Big oof
I am early in the comments :D
Great video as always :D
Whoever reads this I hope you have a good day :D
The intro made me want those NF pants but like everything bike related... Sold out 😒
Your bike is routed for bars spins I see 👁️👁️
what's your thoughts about those TRP DH EVO ? and if you break a lever do they provide spare parts ( levers) thanks man. Cool vid
Love mine! I imagine they would.
@@VanCan awesome i want to get a pair of these too, but i couldn't find on their website any spare part levers for the DH EVO that's my only concern.
Are the trails ever dry up there?
#influence
What's that casing on your gopro does it make a difference
Also some sick riding 👌🤟
Wind slayer, it very much reduces wind noise. Link in description
What does matey rekon to the commencal meta? Got a 2021am29 coming in the next few months
How does your new bike compare to the Rocky Mountain?
Why do you have some cable housing going into the stem's top cap?...
😉
So, is North Shore mostly "pedal up easy trails" and then descend the fun stuff? Or is it up and down? From your vids it seems like the former....
Most mountains have a climb trail.
I love your voice 😍😍😂😄😄
"The dream land"
When he said NF I thought about the rapper lol
Are you running your dropper through the steerer tube?
😉
Is the wreckoning worth the money? I need the exact same style bike you bought big enduro and I live exactly where you do and ride same trails. You think it would be easy to choose and buy a bike but it’s harder then you think. So many good options I know I love the way the evil looks, suspension makes sense from an engineering standpoint and geo isn’t too crazy. I’ve also heard reviews that describe the way the bike feels exactly how I would want a bike to feel. People always say go demo bikes but I’ve called every single bike store on the shore and none are demoing right now, but I really need a bike. 8 grand is a lot of money is it worth the price or would I be better off saving my money on a giant reign, yt, wait for new Norco range. Your opinions would be much appreciated
Bikes are all great these days, so you can't really go wrong. The new range will be like my old enduro, a plow truck. The wreck is a big bike with small bike feel. The reign is more all-mountain, like the sight. My advice is go with what you want most.
@@VanCan I actually bought one I wasn’t thinking of I got a scott ransom 920 and I followed your advice of all bikes are good these days, I’m not disappointed! 😂
That’s pretty funny... Colby / Jack....... funnier if they said cheesy jokes the whole time.
Colby, Jack, shredding. Thats a gouda one for sure. Enjoy the ride
Awesome! What height are you and what size is the Wrecker? Looking at getting one and undecided on L or XL at
6 ft 1!
6ft. Large.
@@VanCan Cheers, Nice one, I also am going from Spesh Enduro 2020 > Wrecker...You loving it just as much as the Speshy?
Yup. Fun bike. Different style, more pop less plow
2 views, 2 comments wow youtube great job
Whats up with the cable going into the steerer tube?
😉
would you say the evil is more plush than the enduro?
What mudguards are your running?
RRP link in description!
Does nf sell those pouches? I didn’t see them on their website
Go to the NF factory store and you should see them there, if you live in Vancouver.
What kind of wheels and hubs do you have on the Wreckoning?
Nobl TR37 with hydras!
@@VanCan serious engagment my friend!! Love your vids bud!
What mud guard do you have on there?
RRP! Link in description
Dude you should come to bend or
One day!
Damn
It looks like your missing your OneUp tool in your stem. Remy is missing his in a couple of his videos as well. Am I missing something?
In my case, yup!
Remy is missing it in all of his videos because he has tool sponsor that isnt OneUp
Man im glad you came out alive there. You are barely controlling your bike most of the time.
Other than that really nice footage.
minty
Anyone else miss the breaking in part and just read the breaking part?
Our local bike park has just announced a permanent closure of its lift access to bikers. They are thinking of leaving trails open to MTBing and maybe working on a XC bike park but riders still need to climb up a trail to get to the top where the bike park will be. A DH bike would be too heavy to bike up this trail I would think. Is there another option that doesn't sacrifice the technical performance benefits that you would get with a downhill bike? Assuming you can't afford a DH e-bike (I am not even sure one exists). I saw in some of your videos it looks like you bike up trails, so that is why I am wondering.
Yup! Check out enduro bikes! Or if you want something even more DH check out the new Norco shore.
@@VanCan Great, thanks so much!
I missread the title as "breaking the evil wreckoning"
There’s always that friend that leaves the house without doing a pre-ride bike check.....Or general maintenance
hi
That clothes rack with the three hangers in an opposite direction 😬
why the hell you routing the brake through the steerer hole? awesome trails man ! cheers from germany
Watch my new video 😉
