Then maintained a defensive position while calling for assistance. She did fine.

Yes and no. In terms of guns per person, Texas isn't really that high, it just has that reputation. The reality is there are several smaller states with a much higher percentage of people packing weapons on the daily. primarily States in the North West and Alaska. The best example would be Coeur d'Alene Idaho during the covid riots perpetrated by the left. Thanks to BLM terrorists publishing their plans online. The city residence came out in full force and armed to the teeth. Several people and even reporters asked the cops why they weren't arresting anyone as they felt scared from all the people packing weapons. The cop's response was simple. It was and is legal. As a result, not a single business was damaged and a few people even got free souvenirs when they stopped BLM protestors who simply dropped their crowbars, and bricks, and ran, not wanting to be shot.
Much respect to this woman for protecting herself and her home/family. My mother hates guns, doesn't think we should have them, but... Every time we go out now I am strapped and she doesn't complain, because deep down, she knows that I am there only to defend us. She is the only family that I have left and gosh-dang it! Self defense _is_ the reason for the second amendment. It's literally written into the amendment. Self defense doesn't just mean your body, it means your property, your people, and your state. @@WolfRaven-jm1cmas I said it's only PART of the reason NOT the only reason. Think about it if you take up arms to overthrow a tyrant you are RISKING your life not defending it. So SELF defense as my man was using the term is only PART of the reason. Nice try though.

She shouldn’t have left her gun in the house though. If you ever find yourself suspecting a tail, you should “circle the block” - make a series of turns that bring you back to the same point, in which case anyone behind you would certainly have turned off by that point unless they’re intent on following you.

She would be in jail over here in California.
..very likely....especially if they bring harris back to system in Cal.
Here in MD too.
Found out.🤷♂️ Could have ended differently.

Shot in the face and chest and he lived? Wow!
Literally too close to home. 20 minutes from my house
'PD showed up within MINUTES!' good thing she took care of business.
...Amen - minutes when seconds count doesn't get it. Self defense laws need to change. They say this isn't the wild west anymore - - yea right !

Attorneys on Retainer is better than USCCA.
Do you mean AttorneyShield? They have a great App, too!
100%
USCCA has a clause that says they can sue you for all the money they spent on defending you if you're actually convicted. That's why I cancelled.
@@JimsyFlimsy- I don’t blame you.
I asked USCCA how to know what lawyer is best to call, as i don't know any lawyers. They couldn't tell me.

Lets pray for her guys the trauma could be bad for her may lord help her
When you look like easy prey to a would-be predator, it's time to be prepared to defend yourself.
If you're being followed, DO NOT GO HOME!!! GO TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT!!!
All I know Is if it was my daughter I would want this to be how it played out. I don’t want to even think about if it was my daughter and didn’t have a firearm in this situation. Anyone who can say if this was my child she should have done this or that anything but use a gun. You either really don’t have kids or your terrible parents.
Brandon Herrera for ATF director
WHat bout Richard delsoto
@bluemackzeiler3313 possibly but I do know Brandon Herrera better
Lol, I just googled ATF Director and Brandon's X account is the first result now.
Only long enough to oversee the closing down of the ATF. Brandon's got to get busy on more Darwin Awards
You need to be Trump's 2a advisor
Brandon may be running the ATF, by running I mean hopefully into the ground
@@eancola6111 Man we can only hope.
Yeah. Don't let Trump ban accessories for firearms or do in his 2nd term what he wanted to do in his 1st term, which is to skip due process before taking people's firearms away from them.
Colion, you are THE MAN. Thank you for standing up and speaking out and bringing to our attention stories such as this one (which my media feeds seem to have all missed????).
If she knew he was following her from the beginning, why didn't she drive to a police station? Not saying what she did was wrong, but I wouldn't want him/they knowing where I live. As you've said before, how come the news of a self defense like this never makes the mainstream
Or call the police while she was still driving
some women enter re tar dation mode when fearful
Pro tip:
If you seriously suspect you’re being tailed or followed, don’t take them to your house… 🤨
Keep driving, maybe pop in the address of a police station or just call the police while you stay on the road AWAY from home.
I’m glad she’s okay but that was not smart.
*edit+ added after a derpy reply about her doing fine
She got lucky. You don’t take the threat to your home. This should be common sense. They could have not been alone or just flagged her address to fellow criminals/gang members and now she’s compromised.
Stay Tactical.
Real Pro tip : be a Pro before talking out your fourth point of contact.
Example : She was unarmed , she then went to familiar ground , retrieved her weapon , got in a preplanned defensive position, introduced her attacker to the " fatal funnel . Then maintained a defensive position while calling for assistance. She did fine.
Well everybody's got a cell phone you should contacted friends or family and told him what was going on and bring the guy to them where they're waiting for him armed
@@andrewmcgowan8436 maybe she didn't have family in the area. She did what she thought she had to do. I'm glad that she was able to defend herself.
@@John-or9ccUndauntedRaceCarslook at Tacticool Timmy over here, sharing his on the toilet "this is how I'll git all them bad guys" fantasy scenarios. No "Pro" leaves their home without their firearm, just so they have to go all the way back to their "pre-planned defensive position" in order to defend themselves.
GTFO here with that Home Alone self defense bullshido. The OP's advise was exactly the right course to take, especially since this woman was unarmed to begin with. Never lead someone who's following you with unkown intent back to your home. Thank God this woman was able to protect herself, but now she has to worry about some kind of reprisal from this man or his buddies.
@@John-or9ccUndauntedRaceCarsyeah, she did all that in the time it took for the truck to pull in behind her? What if the more likely scenario of the stalker, passes by noting the location only to return when the victim isnt expecting them? If you are being followed do not lead them to your home.
I'm not from the USA but as far as know you don't want to rob anyone in Texas😂. Most of the people are armed there, correct me if I'm wrong
You're correct
Yep. Alabama too!
Yup, Idaho too!
It's not just Texas. It's most of rural America, and I bet the p.o.s. had more intentions than just robbery.
Unfortunate the criminal got to the hospital in time
A man named Octavio I. The Dallas area sure sounds like his King of the Hill counterpart. 🤣
No way?!?!? A good person with a legal gun saved themselves… wow.
Remember - NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT !! Better to be safe then sorry !!
Really rang his bell.
Much respect to this woman for protecting herself and her home/family. My mother hates guns, doesn't think we should have them, but... Every time we go out now I am strapped and she doesn't complain, because deep down, she knows that I am there only to defend us. She is the only family that I have left and gosh-dang it! I am not letting anyone take that away from me with out a HARD fight. Thanks Colion!!
So glad she was aware of her surroundings, not head in phone! Glad she had a gun to protect herself.
Actually, self defense is only part of the reason for the second amendment.
Self defense _is_ the reason for the second amendment. It's literally written into the amendment. Self defense doesn't just mean your body, it means your property, your people, and your state.
The second amendment is about ensuring the freedom of the people within the state through protecting the right to arms of the people within the state.
...and the gov that tried to get rid of Pres Trump is the other reason.
@@WolfRaven-jm1cmas I said it's only PART of the reason NOT the only reason. Think about it if you take up arms to overthrow a tyrant you are RISKING your life not defending it. So SELF defense as my man was using the term is only PART of the reason. Nice try though.
@@WolfRaven-jm1cm ...you missed the point -it is about defending yourself from criminals and the government - especially when they become one and the same.
@scottanddebranelson8419 You risk your life everytime you try to defend yourself.
Sounds like a completely legal citizen 😅
Thank you for sharing!!!
Everyone has a right to self defense, no matter what politicians and anti-gunners say.
And the gun is the most effective self-defense tool ever made. It's the great equalizer if you're willing to use it.

I went to Taco Bell recently for the longest time and got a Crunchwrap Supreme. On opening it up, I found the ingredients spread on thinner than butter on toast -- it was practically empty. The first crime was her being robbed by Taco Bell.
The suspect sounds foreign.
illegal obviuosly
This why every state should have a "Stand Your Ground " law especially when in your home.
The real crime was going to Taco Bell.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I want to be your friend for saying that! You made my day!!!!❤❤❤❤
Thank you, you're one of the few who explain without performing.
Is that guy an illegal immigrant?
Glad she’s got the means to protect herself, but man if you have your equalizer carry it.
We need to recognize the awesome situational awareness of this woman for noticing a vehicle tailing her. Most people will not notice, and don’t even look in their rear view mirror. She shouldn’t have left her gun in the house though.
If you ever find yourself suspecting a tail, you should “circle the block” - make a series of turns that bring you back to the same point, in which case anyone behind you would certainly have turned off by that point unless they’re intent on following you.
Better to call 911 while driving and go to the police station. The only good that came from this is that she survived and the guy will go to prison. However, he now knows where she lives...
He first mistake was leaving her handgun at home
Thank You sir ! Ur facts are always 100percent true in these situations the only mistake she made is leaving home without it
This is why I carry, 24/7.

How much you wanna bet he was illegal
This is a prime example of, "When seconds count the police are minutes away.
Didn't hear anything about the legal status of the perp's firearm? I'm guessing that it wasn't legally in his possession?
He was t legal either
@commonsenseisntcommon1776 Didn't thinks so... just goes to prove that the perps will always ignore the law, no matter how many new ones you enact
Doesn’t matter at this point.
@mikehughes8023 It was a sarcastic dig at all the silly laws making it difficult to own a firearm legally. The same laws blatantly ignored by criminals

She has a right to defend herself from a burglar especially since he’s in her garage, trying to break into her house. I’m glad she was able to protect herself and keep herself safe. There was an incident where a guy tried to break into my mom‘s house thank God we had a dog here at the house who alerted my mom to it. She called the police. The guy ran off. I was at work.
