As the Anabolic Doc, since 2003, I’ve provided men who are using or have used anabolic steroids a confidential, ethical and professional medical venue to discuss their use. I do NOT in any way support the use of any performance enhancing drugs - PEDs, anabolic steroid or other medicine for muscle building or body transformation. The “off-label” use of PEDs, as such agents is considered illicit and may lead to adverse health outcomes. Please consult an expert health professional regarding any medical agent and do NOT use any medicine without the explicit advice and supervision of an appropriate medical expert.

AAS should’ve NEVER been placed as a Scheduled 3 drug. It was fine the way before, prescribed and monitored by a qualified licensed physician. That’s the best risk mitigation you can have.

You can blame the supplement movement in 1991. Push shit that promises steroid like affects that don’t work. Make aas illegal that works and used judiciously are safe

You got anti doping sports lobbyists/football-baseball worshipping an*l enthusiasts. This country puts sports before the well being of the common man. Too many of the cocktail drinking, elite upper class pomps were probably losing too much on their unpredictable and inconsistent teams they backed and lost their shirts on bets . they wanted to protect the "records" set in the past by their favorite childhood bed time heroes like babe Ruth for example. Also if it wasnt outlawed, we wouldve started losing the precious Olympics. But anyways. Yeah. Sports had EVERYTHING to do with them being banned and made "illegal"

Very interesting interview. Clearly a smart guy, this writer. I agree with him that it's definitely a societal problem that spans beyond just steroids. A similar "throwaway" attitude seems to be permeating many aspects of life for many people nowadays. An overvalueing of short term pleasure no matter the cost. It's kind of like people dropping mdma at a party and not caring that they'll feel worse for months after. Experiences have become so important because of social media which allows people to kind of immortalize these experiences and hold onto them. I feel like this has made people more likely to take risks to then immortalize these experiences / achievements through social media and gain status and popularity and maybe even a career.
Anyway, keep up the good work doctor! I'm so glad that you're helping these men. I'm 23 and I don't personally use steroids, but I can't say I haven't felt tempted to. Videos like yours made me realize that there are so many things to keep track of health-wise and it honestly gave me a headache just thinking about it so I will steer clear 😂

I can’t imagine wanting to take steroids under age 35 😂.
You have so much potential & body building is nothing compared to being a real athlete. Learn to fight while you’re young!

during the 70s and 80s Arnold, stallone, carl weathers, dolph lundgren etc made male moviegoers want to be the hero...want to look like that.....and every decade since it has increased as physiques got crazier and crazier...larger, more shredded.....and while we might have seen a movie like that once a month or a few times a year back in the 70s and 80s now people carry smart phones with them and look at youtube and tik tok videos DAILY....so it is no wonder there are more males looking at these role models and wanting the same adulation. And that is just from the looks side. We also know most amateur sports dont test for drugs and everyone wants to be the superstar. Everyone knows someone who cheated the system and won the tour de france or an olympic medal or a UFC belt that did drugs....so they know they work....and they know with the right drugs and the right timing they can beat the tests......so of course that is going to increase drug use in all people who play sports as well. I am not surprised with the use exploding.....and the most obvious example of what is the downside?....everyone know arnold took tons of steroids through out the 60s and 70s and he went on to be a millionaire....and he is still alive and turning 77 this year....so how is a couple of years going to hurt them...right?

How do you talk to your pcp if your on trt with other add ons but have a family history of heart disease and heart attack and high cholesterol and you want to keep those markers in check before it gets to that point. How do you bring it up so they can monitor you and put you on blood pressure medication and a statin for harm reduction

Where is the best place to ask questions? Can you do a video on the risks and dangers of oral steroids and Central serous retinopathy? I recently experienced this and still am with a dose of 50/mg winny oraly. Anavar or dbol has never bothered me and this is my first time on winny and I am now having vision loss and dizziness/headaches. The dr said it should go away within a few months and I have since stopped the Winny and noticed after a week my symptoms have lessened, not gone away.

The thing is lifting and being muscular big and strong is an integral part of existence for a lot of guys. I am 25 i have been lifitng since 15 and this is part of who i am. I dont take anything but i cant look myself in the mirror or feel myself without muscle being there. Its part of who i am. So these guys cannot stop because its part of their life. Whatever the cost. Great discussion
