Creatine can be consumed for a long time. It must be consumed with something sweet, so it is better absorbed by the human body. I use it in the morning after sleep 2-3 grams of protein and 2-3 grams after exercise. When taking creatine, it is necessary to limit the salt in your diet to reduce the load on the kidneys, as creatine retains water, and salt exacerbates this process.

Only commenting this because I’ve asked friends and some family and they think there’s no point or that I shouldn’t due to it being restricted to 18 and over
I work in the medical industry and I think a great question to adress is why primary care Doctors are against creatine supplementation due to the abnormally elevated Bun levels in some patients when they undergo a CMP blood test.
Here’s something to ponder. PreHistoric man was known to have a muscular physique. And a lot of energy. Which they needed in order to hunt for food. When they did manage to kill an animal they most likely ate it immediately. Probably because they hadn’t eaten for a week or so. And they were also smart enough to know that it would spoil especially in warmer climates very quickly. And most likely they ate it raw. So in my thinking they must’ve had massive amounts of creatine from all the raw meat they were eating. Creatine is known to give you more energy. Which allows you to do more which allows you to get stronger. Creatine is also known to help cognitive function. They say man’s brain got larger when they ate meat. Creatine is most abundant in raw meat. I’m no scientist but if you line up all the dots it may answer the question of how we got so smart. Hum that still doesn’t explain my stupid dog.
Humans brain size increased at the same time as they started taking nootropics and other psychedelic drugs but they dont want you to know that...they have even banned TED talks on this subject.
@Christopher Campana No, now believe what you want the media and government want you to believe. Thier is no, repeat no scientific evidence to ban nootropics. DMT that is produced naturally in the human body for example. Carry on watching TV or DYOR.

Currently 18 years old and I weigh about 70kg and iam 178cm tall. Is it 100% safe to take 20g per day for a week as a loading phase and then 5g per day??? Thank you for your time
Don't take it i took it for 2 years on and off with drinking lots of water and ended up with kidney stones then years later diagnosed with IBS. It's just not something worth taking in the long run your body creates it naturally. You would get better results looking at low carb diets.
I'm interested in taking creatine for the cognitive benefits it provides because I'm on a 90-95% plant based diet. My question is how long do the effects of creatine last for? Would the benefits I experience from taking creatine regularly last day-long , or do the effects only last a limited amount of time after each dose?
Creatine is more or less stored in the body in skeletal muscle tissues and some organs, primarily liver where it just helps recycle energy molecules. The effects become noticeable in about 1-3 weeks of a normal 3-6 g dose and wear off gradually in about a week or two stopping supplementation.
You wil start to see the effects after 3 weeks as the previous commenter stated. After 3 weeks your creatine levels will be saturated. So it wont matter if you take it in morning, afternoon or before sleep. You can even skip few doses after you have reached saturation and you would not even notice.
@@PoopythePlumber basically creatine good. Takes 2-4 weeks to show effect. And about a month for the effect of it to wear off. Effects: more endurance and strength. Side effects: none

It’s basically gives you more of something called “creatinine,” which is not necessarily an issue unless you have a problem concerning creatinine production. Other than that, there are no known negative effects.
It's not BS. If you want to get the benefits of creatine faster(after 1 week) you can use a loading phase. Otherwise you can just take the "maintenance" dose but you will see the benefits after roughly 1 month. You definitely don't need a loading phase, but it helps
@@balthazarduclos2673 the hair loss thing comes from a study in 2009 where 20 rugby players took 25mg of creatine daily and that saw a 50% increase of the DHT hormone in them which is a hormone strongly related to hair loss. The problem is that those guys took 25mg daily whereas the recommended amount and the amount the average person would take is only 3-5mg. The DHT hormone also only causes baldness in people already genetically predisposed to balding. The conclusion that the nephrologist and urologist came up with was that my problems were stemming from the creatine and the caffeine that i was getting from pre workout. I just wanted to share this because I thought nothing of it until I had a blood test taken one day. Can creatine get you great results? Yes. But please be advised and get blood work done yearly to make sure your levels aren't out of wack.
@Just a Man Trying To Learn Creatine doesn't contain caffeine. However, most pre-workouts will contain caffeine and creatine within the product substance. A product that I've been using lately that helps with energy and blood flow without having creatine and or caffeine in it is called pump mode by evolution nutrition.

I think finally we get someone who give us the best information about Creatine and if it causing hairloss, at the moment its the biggest concern for people taking creatine who are DHT sensitive. But no he is not awnsering it. When are they going to replicate that study from 2009 where they discovered creatine is rising your testerone dht. Its really holding a lot of people back.
His hair concludes your query lol
Honestly, I'm already balding without taking it, so it's no concern to me, I'll just go bald.
iafozzac it will accelerate the balding. When using it, instead of two or the hairs falling I noticed a significant increase in hair loss.
Creatine per se does not induce patter hair loss or baldness, there's a genetic predisposition to that and some association to DHT so in the end if you were to be bald you will be, taking creatine or not.
Check out Jeff Nippard's video on Creatine, he addresses that study with three more that show it's unlikely for most people to have hairless unless they are genetically predisposed.
Lucidly explained without any scientific complications. Thank you
What happens if you stop taking creatine? Does your body maintain the muscle it helped you gain or do you slowly lose it?
I've been taking creatine for 6 months and noticed huge improvements. What I want to know is should I be taking a month off? Is it something you should cycle?
As far as I've read it doesn't need to be cycled
If you do drop it for a bit I've read that you drop the lean mass I guess and start to look smaller
@@SMYTuberr yeah whoever said that is lying creatine doesn’t add muscle mass it’s basically a clean natural boost and you store more water in your muscles after you get off creatine you might not drink as much water and might not work out as much who knows but if you still keep the same routine you’ll keep you gains

Noted.
Thank you for this.
Telling people to limit salt is Stone age bro science and should be avoided.
@@oooRicky not broscience he's right. Kidney damage and disease is a major killer in America. Look at all the people getting kidney transplants and on dialysis, do you see all of that? Excess Salt and Creatine are both bad for the kidneys if your kidneys aren't great, he's just saying don't try to do both, if you do just go get the tests from your doctor to make sure your kidneys are okay.
Igor ty for info
When youre consuming large quantities of water salt helps you retain the water in your body else you will just piss it out, so why should we avoid it?
You didn’t address the effect it has on the liver...
Dylan Campbell Have you had any liver damage? I have been taking it for a long time. My liver is healthy
It doesn’t have an effect on the liver, there are many many studies that show the benefits of it and there are no well established downsides, the liver stuff that people claim is not backed by good evidence

Hum that still doesn’t explain my stupid dog.
prehistoric man wasnt sitting on his computer or watching tv. why are you so stupid
Humans brain size increased at the same time as they started taking nootropics and other psychedelic drugs but they dont want you to know that...they have even banned TED talks on this subject.

It is safe, just drink a lot water.
Today, I started taking creatine and I poop a lot. Is it the creatine or is it just coincidental? could someone help me!
Don't take it i took it for 2 years on and off with drinking lots of water and ended up with kidney stones then years later diagnosed with IBS. It's just not something worth taking in the long run your body creates it naturally. You would get better results looking at low carb diets.
No need to waste your money on this shit. Eat plenty of red meat and don't smoke. Hit the gym frequently and hard.
You haven’t tried and it shows
I'm interested in taking creatine for the cognitive benefits it provides because I'm on a 90-95% plant based diet.

You lost me the second you said there’s any reason to use a loading phase 🤦♂️ loading is 100% BS!!
