I’m having the same issue with overflow and everyone tells me head gasket or head or liner I’m still running but I want to diagnose the problem so I’m going to try this thanks for this
My does that only while driving , will spit a galon of coolant. While idle everything is fine. Not overheating, no smoke of a stack only pushes coolant on a overflow line. This starts to hapen when i changed the coolant tank. I did reuse old cap on it. When i open the cap while hot i dont have any presure in the tank. Also my compressor is all oily on middle and bottom. What do you think ? Bad compressor, bad cap, bad head gasket or egr cooler ?
When I turn truck off coolant start dripping from hose were it connect to compressor. But I run water only in cooling system and drain every day. If I leave it full over night it will be water in oil or oil in coolant.
My friend, a question, my compressor was damaged and I changed it but now it does that to me, it does not heat up, but maybe with a new compressor it can do those things?
My truck is pushing water out of the weep hope over flow tube, replaced the radiator Cao and stopped but now when I open the cap, it comes out of there. I dont have any issues with overheating. So????definitely worried if I need a rebuild...

I started having mine blowing coolant after putting a new (all metal) radiator in. The new radiator has a larger brass vent pipe on top than the old plastic one had. I’m thinking that it’s allowing to much coolant to vent off the top of the radiator and causing a surge of pressure in the reservoir. I’m going to try a copper pipe to help radiate the heat off of it before the tank. Anyone else installed a all metal Alliance radiator having this problem???
