    Getting the correct hip height and tension in the hams can be worked on with deficit deadlifts.
    They really helped my form.

    The RDL to position helps me a lot, but when I bring my shins to the bar, I lose that feeling of tension in the post chain

    Not only are you losing spring action > but when you bend at the hip, you’re closing off circulation both at the nerve and capillary end. Hence why your legs go numb sitting on the toilet too long.
    Also your breath is best taken at the top where your chest and stomach can fill. Not when you compress all cavities.

      Sumo deadlifts are not easier. It all comes down to your anatomy and development. All lifters would sumo on the competitive stage if that was the case. It costs too much sacrifice and money not to medal just because people think it’s cheating. If USAPL banned feet on the bench and excessive arch, they’d have banned Sumo.
